Favorite Card (Yugioh)

I'll give you three reasons that Slifer is unplayable.

1. It's banned on every single banlist out there.

2. Since it doesn't have any effect text, you can't calculate its attack or defense.

3. Slifer is a god card, and they were designed as promotional cards, not as cards that can actually be played. All three of them have problems (e.x., Slifer and Ra have no way to calculate their attack, and Obelisk is technically a ritual monster with no corresponding spell card, if I remember correctly.)

So there. Anyway, this thread is basically a bragging thread, which is easier to create when you actually have something to brag about. *holds up 3vil Gadjiltron deck*

So, yeah, that's why you can't play Slifer. Questions?

Yeah, riveting discussion you've got here guys, but really...if the whole idea behind this thread is you wanting to boast with Slifer then that's sort of sad. Meh best is Brain Crusher, which - unlike the cheaty god cards - is actually playable. Too bad I don't have a deck to go with it.

Really, though, this topic is just a big waste of space. :\

There's honestly problem if a deck revolves around "one strongest card" unless the whole strategy is to revolve around that one card, but that's extremely rare... Even Demise OTK technically does not consider Demise as the "strongest" one. Demise clears the field, but needs Advanced Ritual Art (card 2), which pitches the normal bugs for Doom Dozer (card 3), and both of them can be metamorphosised (card 4) into Cyber Twin Dragon for the real damage (card 5). Setting up obviously uses the searchers (card 6, 7, 8?) hehe...

God cards use the wrong color for all of them... not to mention, broken effects if we have to go according to anime. However, if we're really going by anime rules, then Obelisk is the only one remotely possible to be permitted... 3 tributes is hard, even if it's for something with trap/monster effect immunity, and one turn spell-effect. The major drawback is that Obelisk dies to a Cyber Dragon if Limiter Removal or shrink is facedown XD;

I honestly don't know what to do with this thread, it started out as best card, but it turned into a God cards bashing thread...meh, anywho i think this would make more sense as "Favorite card" thread, so i'll make it that way in the title.

Well now, if we're talking favorites then that's a different matter altogether. Let's see...currently I've grown very fond of Kuriboh since it's searchable tribute fodder that can also fuel Necrofear and Crush Card Virus as well as the sky scourges (although those aren't particularly relevant for me) while it can also avert a potential OTKO hit. Plus, Kuriboh is just so darn cute and fuzzy-wuzzy. :3 I also like Ojamagic (Yay for turning -1s into +2s) and...well, Mask of Restrict and Begone, knave! (In your face Brain Control/Soul Exchange fans xD) because they're just generally cool. So yeah, I prefer roguish cards for the fun factor. xD

My favorite and my most powerful is Theinen the Great Sphinx. Along with some other cards he's easy to get out. And it has the power to destroy an egyptian god card.

I guess that would work. XD

My favourite card of the moment is Neo-Spacian Grand Mole and it has been since its release.

Isn't that the overly cheap card soon to be banned?

Umm...wtfudge? Why would Grand Mole be banned? It bounces the same amount from both players' fields and has hardly been terrorizing the metagame like Cyber Stein or the like. Regardless, don't double post; if you find something more to say then edit your existing post please. -.- Anyways, your argument is sort of silly since god cards are banned and unplayable (as has already been pointed out multiple times in this thread) and thus whether or not something can beat them doesn't make much difference. :O Also, Thenien is sort of meh since it requires you to assemble two subpar monsters on the field (Something which is usually done by using a certain sucky continuous trap card) and you have to nuke both of them at the same time in order to get Thenien (who has to be in your hand) out on the field. Even if you do he's only really good for that one turn; after that he's like a slightly subpar vanilla who can't hide behind vanilla support cards since he's technically still an effect monster. In other words: insane investment for very little gain. T_T

Hm... for purely sentimental reasons, I like Neo-Spacian Black Panther, but in terms of working in an actual deck, my favorite card would have to be Ruby Carbuncle. *squee*

Yah, Carbuncle is basically the most pwnsome Crystal beast out there, since it can totally turn your entire spell/trap card row into a field of monsters with the right timing. I muchly heart it.

Theinien is fail because Andros and Teleia have to both be killed to summon him...

In an era where hardly any monsters will successfully battle another monster because they either get stolen, nuked by zabrog or just bounced by raiza, no not really. It's the same reason why you don't see DDWL anymore in any deck except cosmos, and even then it's not guaranteed to be there. If grand mole is banned, then I honestly wonder "what the heck o.o;"

lol, Carbuncle is nice but I still don't think that it's the "pwnsome of crystal beasts." I like Sapphire Pegasus more than Carbuncle, because it's the Stratos for crystal beasts =x Carbuncle is just one method for Crystal to win (OTK rush), but Pegasus fills up the backrow in order for you to do whatever you are going to do (beacon, ruin +2 draw, abundance, carbuncle.)

Yeah Kuriboh family has its own right in monarch decks to function as tribute fodder, and defense at once. Not to mention, everyone laughs at Raiza that targets flute with its effect and you pull out winged kuriboh with it =x

"Be smothered by my hairy balls!" XD;

Mobius is my all time favorite card. I mean monarchs in general but for some reason I alwaysn seem to get rid of Decrees and Mirrors XD. In any case I like its effect and its 1 tribute 2400 attack isn't too shabby either.

lol, monster-wise Mobius is probably my favorite too, but more possibly because of the name than the effect XD; Either way, current day metagame is just too chainable for Mobius sadly... Nothing much it can nuke besides crystal beasts, mirrors, degrees and a few other small things here and there.

*Gasp* XD Well I run a basic control deck*Don't hit me*. So, Mobius is one of those deck staples.

Yeah I understand, and it's not that I don't like Mobius, but just that control decks nowadays are usually targetting the hand directly with Thestalos and Trap Dustshoot with Confiscation. Either that, or Raiza to bounce so that whatever's left out there is back to the hand and a delay of drawing new cards from the deck.

lol... My favorite card is far crappier than yours (and in fact, a mortal enemy.) Wave Motion Cannon in this format...?

*points to the Raiza also in deck* XD I agree theya re pretty generic at this point and yes our favorite cards are mortal enemies* RIVAL STARE*
