Couldn't think of a better thing to call it... basically, what types of things do you like Pokemon to be based off of? Myths? Real-life animals? Inanimate objects? Other? Poll added for your convenience :D

I want to mark two choices :p Both mythology and real life animals are my favorite bases. Never was a big fan of inanimate-objects-pokémon.

Animals because it feels pretty obvious to base pokémon on them. And there is such a vast variety. There are still animals that haven't been made into pokémon. Myths because there are so many mythological creatures or spirits that fit well with the powers of pokémon. Often, myths and animals are combined to make a pokémon, and that's great too.

I think it is good to call Pokemons a living Myth : as they can be those creatures who are living legends of there time

I love animals, so I will say that! I also believe that there are way more possibilities for Pokemon designs when basing them off of real life animals as opposed to inanimate objects or plants so that is a huge bonus. There are so many more animals that I look forward to seeing Pokemon designs based on and hopefully X&Y will reveal some more good ones =D
