Favorite gaming system for Pokemon?

Right now it is the Nintendo DS, but depending on how much I enjoy Sun & Moon that could change! My favourite titles are from the DS era, so naturally that would be my favourite console for the games currently.

I'm curious why you feel that way, as I kinda bypassed the DS Pokemon era. I did buy Pearl, but EverQuest took over my life again for a couple years, and I never got back to it.

Would it be worth my while going back and playing it? Will the lack of any internet connectivity for DS titles nowadays, hurt my enjoyment?

If you try turbo mode your pi may glitch out.
If it happens, hold Shift during boot.

Your advice helped, thanks :) I'd tried so many different software and something far more simple did the trick. There's still lag on some portions of bigger games but it's bearable. It'll be nice to play LoZ or Conkers with the music on lol.

I highly doubt it. I played Pokemon Black, Black 2, and X while I stilled lived at my parents' house where I wasn't allowed to hook up devices to our limited internet data. The nice thing about pokemon games is that if you can't hook it up to online stuff, you're still not missing much. Although, since I never did play any of those pokemon games online, I may just be oblivious to what I'm missing, haha.

As for my favorite console, it would have to be the 3DS. It just feels the best, and the graphics are pretty decent.

well let's see i've played on gbc, gba, gbsp, dsl, and 3ds

i def put the most time into the gbc and gba and i have a lot of fond memories on those consoles, but the biggest pain in the ass was always having to be in the light to see. i know you could buy that light thing, but i never ended up getting one. i'm going to say dsl is my favorite because it was a huge change, it had a light built in the screen!!!!, and i've always enjoyed the touch feature... though it was utilized way more on other games i played on it than pokemon. and the charge lasted way longer than on my 3ds

The Game boy Advance SP is by far the best way to play Pokemon. It's small, has a really long lasting battery, a nice bright screen, and it looks cool. I mean, so what if it doesn't have an audio jack xD

The DS Light wasn't bad, it was a little flimsy though. I went through like 3 of them in their time. The Original 3ds was alright, mine chugged along up until something broke inside the device. The 2ds is "eh", I haven't broken mine yet so there is a plus! Lastly, the New 3ds is kind of big for my standards. Graphics are great, but it seems even more flimsy than the DS light was.

All I use is my 3DS.
I have 3 different systems (3DS flame red, 3DS XL, new 3DS XL)

The systems that got my most playtime are GBC and DS. Gen 2 and 4 were the ones that absorbed my life. I do prefer the DS line of systems with my favorite being the original DS. I really want to buy another one since I sold mine a long time ago because the L and R buttons stopped working. Right now I'm always playing on the normal size New 3DS and it is very nice. Screen is great, the faceplates are awesome and those colored buttons are literally the reason I bought it. Plus I can play 3 genererations of Pokemon, soon to be 4 once Sun and Moon come out.

I'm really enjoying my 3DS. Probably going to eventually get a New 3DS XL, which I anticipate enjoying even more.
