Favourite sidequests

What are your favourite Sidequests? Mine are the Pokeathlon they kept my game clocking over 360 hours, haha. my sencond fav are contests of rs/oras, loved the block making shame it isnt in the remake but oh well. still fun.
pokewood is quite nifty, my least favourite is the musical, because that was just dress up and watch most of the time.

 

[Hiatus]

It's been a while since I had last played Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, but I really enjoyed their contesting system, to be honest.

They would allow us to dress up our Pokémon with clothes and accessories (which could be bought from stores, if I remember correctly, as well as collected from the park in Hearthome City), and participate in a variety of mini-games afterward; all of it were rather fun, if you ask me!

As for second, this would likely have to be Pokéathlon from HeartGold and SoulSilver. Although I personally did not participate as much as some people, it was still fun to take part; I've definitely enjoyed playing through all their sports and games. It sucks that this feature wasn't able to make it into future Pokémon games; would have been great if it were.

Shouldn't the Battle Frontier be included in this list too? I know it's also about battling and not something completely different, but still, it's something to collect symbols.

From this list, either the PokeAthlon or Contests. Never really was a fan of PokeWood or Musicals.

I didn't realise there was a difference between PokeContests and Super Contests. Can anybody educate me?

I'm not a fan of any of the side quests so I'll just vote Pokeathelon.

Pokéwood, or PokéStar Studios if I called it, is one of my favorite sidequests, especially when I know that I'm able to change the overcome of the movie, even to the strange parts.

I didn't realise there was a difference between PokeContests and Super Contests. Can anybody educate me?

Unlike the original Contest, Super Contest have an additional phase before the appeal round, which involves dancing on the beat. Plus, the Pokémon have to appeal to one of three judges which have three separate meters, unlike having only one in original Contest. I personally find these Contests are quite enjoyable too.

I voted for the Musicals and the Contests/Super Contests. I guess I'm just someone who loves entertaining and performing with my Pokemon if that's anything to go by, and I often found time doing those when I played games with said sidequests so no doubt I will be doing contests often when I start playing OR/AS as well.

eh I was looking for the performance side of pokemon. sevii islands and battle frontier dont fit that theme. if i put all side quests in then safari zone etc would have needed to fit in too ;)
