This question is self-explanatory, what is your favourite piece of video game music?

As for me, mine will always be Lucca's Theme from Chrono Trigger.

    Theme +Remixes:

    How about you?

My favorite video game music would have be Pokemon battle music, in any game, that and Mario music. I don't have a specfic music though.

For me I have to say the entire Tomb Raider's series music is really quite enjoyable and it got me through the game easily with their nice sounds and themes, in particular Tomb Raider: Legend had one of the best music that was a pleasure listening to. Aside from that I like mostly all the Pokémon battle music, newer DS generation.

I felt that Final Fantasy X had an AMAZING soundtrack. Some examples:

    Wandering Flame:

    Travel Bureau:

    Just to name a few.

Oh, and X-2 had a pretty good soundtrack too.

Man, I could never choose one favorite... 8 bit is my favorite genre, so I like a lot of songs.

Atm, the 2 that stick out the most to me are:

    and

(Although this one isn't actually 8 bit. lol)

I have, like, a lot of favourite music. VGM is pretty much all I listen to, lol. Among my top songs, Ace Attorney's many "Cornered" themes, and the ensuing Announce The Truth themes. Away from this awesome, awesome, series, Super Mario RPG has the awesome themes revolving around Geno - his forest and the goodbye. On different songs (POKEMON!), we come across Goldenrod, Verdanturf, the SS. Anne and the ending theme for each generation (last one is BW, so spoiler. It is also absolutely epic. I only just heard it too -drools-). In a similar vein to the last songs, I also love WEWY's Lullaby for You (in both English and Japanese).

I think I should stop there now. Keep in mind every linked word is a song of its own when clicking those links!

PPPPSSSS. Before I do though, there's something quite important I totally forgot about.

I have a list so big I can't remember ANY of it! -____- Anyhow, I've been playing through my Megaman Zero games, so at the moment I'm thinking "X, The Legend" is pretty nice, but the sound quality is sort of cruddy and I can't find a remix that does it justice. Same with the Neo Arcadia theme.

Big Baby Bowser from Yoshi's Island.
    Pokey Means Business from Earthbound
Soul Ablaze from Megaman ZX Advent

....There is a trend here, somewhere. xD

ANYTHING from the Metal Gear Solid series, the white house burning theme from MW2, Silent Hill intros, Sonic / Mario 2d era music, final fantasy etc etc

Overall soundtrack? Chrono Trigger. I only played the game shortly after the DS port came out and... omg. I fell in love with the soundtrack. Despite never having played the game before, the music was so nostalgic to me. I love it and all of its remixes. When I don't know what I feel like listening to, it tends to be my go-to playlist. (I also adore the music from Chrono Cross, despite never having played it.)

After that, the series with my favourite music is Kingdom Hearts. Listening to that playlist right now and loving every minute of it. I wish there were more remixes of it though. :( I also love the music in the Ace Attorney and Professor Layton series. And I guess Pokémon, at least for the nostalgic stuff in first and second gen--with a few tracks from the later games sprinkled here and there.

    As for single games:
    • Assassin's Creed II
    • Braid
    • Eternal Sonata
    • Final Fantasy VII
    • Final Fantasy X
    • Katamari Damacy
    • Okami
    • Tales of Symphonia
    • The World Ends With You
    • World of Goo

    Specific favourite tracks?

Lord of the Castle (Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories)

Graceful Assassin (Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories)

Fulfilled Desire (Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII)

    Kokoro no Kiseki (Eternal Sonata)

    Venice Rooftops (Assassin's Creed II)

Calling (The World Ends With You)

    There are more but those are the only one I had uploaded from song claims. 8D;

Okami's music is just awesome. :D It even has a pretty neat 8bit album, as well as a piano album. But the piano album is so quiet that it becomes white noise to me whenever I listen to it until I get to the end and hours later, realize I'm no longer listening to music. :'(
