After reading the rules and lurking around and finally registering, I decided to make an introduction. :)

So recently my friends and I were all talking and we got on the subject of Pokemon. We reminisced about the good old days and how much fun we had with Gameboys at school. So we ended up all getting some version of Gameboy and one of the 1st gen games.

I've played almost since the beginning and played up through Ruby for sure, possibly the generation after. So I'm back into it. Playing Red and loving it. :D Gonna be working my way back through and hopefully I'll only be a few months late to the Black/White party. We'll see how that goes.

So you could imagine my joy to find a community devoted to Pokemon and the discussion of them. Starting all over, I feel like a 9 year old kid again, but it's amazing how much I remember about the game.

Anyway, I'm pumped to be playing again, and I'm looking forward to joining the discussions and asking questions of my own. :D

Well, that's awesome that you're back into Pokemon again. I for sure remember those Gameboy days. Ahh, good times.

There are a couple of boards devoted to the old generation games such as R/B/Y, G/S/C and of course the Advanced Generation games. You'll want to get into the conversations.

Anyways, welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay! :)

Welcome to the forums, dude. :) Yeah, the nostalgia for the original games is what drove me to register here. I can safely say that a lot of people around here appreciate the originals.

    Hey there bigUM ^_^

Bro, youve got a story that most pokefans nearing the end of their teens have, including myself. I think its this nostalgia factor that keeps pokemon as fun as it is. The first game I ever played was gold, and I still remember the sheer joy those days brought, praise God.

Anyways, welcome to the forum, and hopefully we are gonna have a lot of fun (theres an about 99.99% possibility, considering the friendliness of the people ^_^).

Glad to hear that your back into Pokemon and you're playing red version cool. Well welcome to PC and I hope you have a fun time.

Hiya BigUm welcome to the wonderful, spectacular forums of PC.

I can also remember back quite awhile ago playing the GBC veriosns of the Pokemon Games, it was fantastic fun. You know what, I still have my GBC with all of my loved Pokemon games. But the sad things is that I don't play them anymore, they just sit in my draw gathering dust. However, I will never sell them, they contain some of the best childhood memories I've had, even though that mind sound bizarre.

I can say I've played every generation of pokemon game, or at least 1 from every gneeration except for Heonn. (R/S/E) since I wasn't quite fond and I still aren't quite fond of Ruby, Sapphire and Crystal. I think it's because I played Diamond first and because they graphics - naturally, - are better than the Gen III games, I took a disliking to them. But what made pokemon Diamond so supurb to be is that I made a direct transition from the GBC to the DS games which the difference between the two platforms and games was astounding.

Well it's great to hear that your inner 9 year old is coming out since reliving some of our childhood memories feels really good! Enjoy yourself here and just in case you forget, make sure you read the rules. But of course you already have. ~
