Hey, may I have some help on this?

Message: File PBS/townmap.txt not found.

I can't open up the game nor the Editor..

I can't open up the game nor the Editor..

All I'll say is that the error message gives you all the information you need. Try reading it.

So how do I compile the stuff? I try going into Editor because that's where I've seen the Compile option but it won't open because of this problem. Really need help.. :/

This is the thread for Bug and Error Reporting. Please post things like this on the parent board in the future.

That being said, if you hold control while opening your game, it will force it to compile. If the compiler is having problems and you haven't edited it, it has something to with your PBS files. Figure out which one is causing the problems, and check the wiki for proper formatting.

Well my first guess is that you don't have townmap.txt in your PBS folder. I've attached my copy from v14.

So I download the townmap and move it into the PBS folder?

I'm using Pokemon Essentials v13.
RPG Maker XP.
I haven't changed anything that could of caused the error.
I can open up the Game file but I can't Playtest it nor go to Editor.

Still have the problem. I got v14 but my free trial expired so i'll be buying the program very soon. I opened up v14 pbs and then opened v13. Yea, I was missing alot of notepad scripts like, abilities,b tpokemon,bttrainers,connections,encounters,fancycuppm,items,moves,phone, all those things so that must've been what caused the error along with the townmap.txt. Haven't tested it out till I buy the program.
