i opened essentials today and test played it in rpgmaker but i keep getting this error
    [Pokemon essentials version 17]
    Exception:RuntimeError
    Message:filename is nil
    SpriteWindow_sprites:30in 'initialize'
    Pokemon_Sprites:233 in'new'
    Pokemon_Sprites:233:in 'pokemon='
    Pokemon_Sprites:209:in intialize
    ect
    how would i fix this

I'm guessing you're missing the sprites for one of the Pokémon in your party (in the save file)?

where would i find the pokemon that is missing the sprite the test just gives me that error once i run the test

I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure if you search the forums you'll be able to find out how to delete the save.

(I wish Essentials would say which file is missing...)

found the solution i just needed to rename it apparently it was trying to get files from the previous one

I've just changed this particular error message in v18 because I see people with this problem so often. Maybe it'll help.

Awesome! Thanks a lot! If you're ever in the mood to do some other things, Vendily has a small pastebin that translates other common newbie mistakes from stacktrace to the likely error (I'm afraid I don't have the link to hand, but hopefully she'll either see this, or you can get in touch) :)
