Day Four
​



Two men sat under a tree, talking to one another. Ever since this chaos had started, the two had stayed together and talked like old friends. One held an empty potion bottle in his hand. However, a figure stood in the background and watched. He laid his hand on one Wedge's shoulder and drew him away from his partner.

Confused, the man rose to follow his partner. "Hey! Where are you going?" There was no reply. He took a step forward, ignorant of the man behind him. Aeternum struck him in the back, knocking him to the ground. Before he had a chance to strike again he looked at his hand. The ring he had found was missing; a thief had stolen it without his noticing. To his right he saw two mages, one preparing a spell. Before she had the chance to cast it the other chanted a few words, causing aeternum to collapse, blood pouring from his mouth, as they ran away in opposite directions.

I don't like the way he was led off without talking. He was recruited by someone, but which one? If there were money involved I think he would have talked at least a little bit... :(

As for Aeternum, he apparently had a ring of some type, which the Thief now has. The mages that attacked him... going by the way they walked in separate directions I'm guessing they're from two different parties.

Also... somebody apparently knows Death or some variant of it. There wasn't even any record of how much damage was dealt; there's just DEATH.

Probably someone who has a killing ability? Knowing that alvey is maf, I'm pretty sure they would kill him :x Personally, I would like to find who are the recruiters imo...

Also, I'm surprised you lived. Let me guess, you got something didn't you ;)

I dared to post during the Night Phase, which involves either getting killed, getting outed, running into a random encounter, or getting treasure. I was going to die for certain next phase, and anything other than getting treasure would have killed me. I'm as surprised as you are to be honest. :(

By the way what is with Aeris's name? The character names seem to be either red, blue, or purple, but Aeris was both red and blue. What does that mean? I can't help but feel that's going to be important later given in the game she originated in she still played a huge part even after dying.

Also what's with Aeternum trying to repeatedly murder me? Is our GM's murderous hatred towards common lackeys infecting him like some kind of hate flu?

N0: I try to steal from Brad but I got nothing, which (according to my theory ) means he didn't had any gil or(he offer his gil to shadow). I don't know but I'm little suspicious of him.

N1: Woo I just came to rob Nimsy and she is recruiting someone but my robbing blocked her action. Nimsy is recruiter.

N2: I try to steal from Mew-Nani. I got blocked. Care to explain( I think third party or mafia). Still suspicious of her.

N3: I try to steal from Aeternum and try to find what happen when I try to steal from a mafia.
*Boom*
I successfully steal because you all already sent your NA to attack him.

So..........

Be stupid and attack immediately.
Notice how the phase post said that I noticed the great numbers of our enemies?
I win with the town, my "cult" is just a way to get us more organized. I can't recruit mafia, that's why my action failed.

I'm not violent, my attack is 5 and I have no MP attacks.

Killing a thief, that is most likely mafia or malevolent third party (that can easily gain the favor of shadow) is a much smarter target.

So, Instead of robbing everyone silently, I just came and tell everything I have done so far makes me a mafia or third party role. I don't know what are you trying to do but psyduck that.

I knew you were suspicious for some reason. :|

As for why you failed... it certainly wasn't my doing. I was told by the GMs you attempted to steal but failed, so someone either was blocking you or your success rate is random and I just got lucky. As for you being suspicious of me, I can't blame you very much. Going by Mafia 102 I'm very hard to read. Unfortunately as much as I'd love to act all hammy and evil and such I have to disappoint you; I'm nothing more than a common lackey. My role now is effectively useless because Wedge, my best friend, was recruited by, probably going by the Day 4 post, the mafia. Why did you betray me Wedge WHY ;-;

Going by Desinishon and the Day 2 post your attempt to recruit failed because you were stolen from, not because you tried to recruit the wrong person. It didn't say anything about you failing to recruit a mafia member.

This is Day 4 so assuming your abilities have a 1-day cooldown that is certainly possible, and it was referenced during the day just like your last attempt but I still find the wording very strange. It sounds like Wedge just decided to leave without a word, which doesn't seem to fit your presumed recruiting method of bribing them to come with you. :(
 
Notice how there wasn't a struggle? No spells to be had.
Just a touch on the shoulder and he knowingly came to assist.

If I was a bad guy, a spell would have been cast to turn your friend into a mindless follower.

I don't need money to recruit, I started with 100 gil. I can only recruit "good" guys.
I also don't have a cool down period, I was just busy and didn't send in a NA.

But why then were we told in the Day 2 post you failed because you noticed your pockets were emptied? The thief doesn't have the ability to just roleblock people; there was a special reason your being stolen from caused you to fail, or at least seemed to.

As for how the bad guys recruit, we really have no idea how they do it. It was mentioned during the Night 1 post they are capable of it and have done so, but how they would really do so would probably depend on who the recruiter IS. Some villains do use spells but others seemingly do so through charisma or some other agent. I'm also suspicious because my friend was converted shortly before I was attacked, which I assume happened at night.

By the way you mentioned earlier your role was useless because Lightning isn't with us any longer. You were lying there, but what did you mean by that? How does Lightning relate to you?
 
I say just kill her and we're going to get our answer.
 
No, it was just worded so awkwardly and misinformed everyone because the co-gm doesn't know how to write a proper phase post.

I never claimed to be related to lightning, I believe you are thinking of naku.
