FFTA2 should be in stores everywhere by now, and I'm wondering what people think of this game. I originally played the first one in middle school, and it may very well be my favorite game of all time. This one, however, seems to be lacking something. There's no character dynamic set up at the start like there was in the first game...the main character is the only one taken to Ivalice rather than a group of kids that already know each other.

The plot centered around those kids in FFTA, showing whether they did or did not want to get back to their world and why. It was really interesting, and there was a huge amount of character building. Opinions were voiced, sides were chosen, friends became enemies, and enemies became friends.

The plot for FFTA2, however, seems fairly drab in comparison ("get back to your world!"). There's really no conflict amongst "the good guys," no indecision about what goal they should be trying to reach. It's like all of the characters are just an engine to get the main character back to earth.

Granted, the graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is as tight as ever, and the music is even top-notch. Despite these things, I will be the first to say I got this game for a good plot: one I'm not finding, at least not yet.

A2 has great visuals, and includes a deep, strategic gameplay. There's 400 quests to play through, and it has many customization options. I would've preferred to find another mature Tactics game like the original, but A2 seemed worth buying. I find that the battles can be very long in some cases and don't include much pay in the end, plus the stylus controls are a bit weak.

The game had a steep learning curve, so it took some effort from me to figure out the gameplay completely, even with several hours of playing it. Personally, I thought it was a decent game. D:

Yes this game is alright aside from a few let down's of course. Those let down's being:

No Wifi- Granted it was known before it released in the U.S. that there would be no WiFi, but it would have gave everyone ton's of replay hour's just to boost there team's and participate in some CvC (Clan vs. Clan) or some Co-op. Lion's War won it over this with it's online combat, thank you PSP.

Story-It still amazes me how Square went about the book transportation to Ivalice method again. Though this Ivalice being real, why not have our main character Luso already be apart of this world? Asking too much from them it seems. The story that come's after that is..not my taste you can say,
    Spoiler:
    .

Gameplay- Soo after ignoring the story and focusing on the other quest's, which include tournament's that made me quite happy to participate in, the game became enjoyable. Also including the number of job's and the such, it was quite fun.

Graphics- Yellow hume's, seem's as though the tactic advance series love's this color for humans. Aside from that everything is very nice, esper's and the like.

All in all, I give this game a 5/10. So much potential but, again, a let down. It seem's as though nothing new for the FFT's series can ever live upto the way the original was, which is a shame.

I got the game yesterday as I loved FFTA but this one just isn't the same. I thought they would try and change things. I think the only noticeable difference for me so far is bazaar being included. I am only just over an hour in so can't say to much about it. The game play is good. Always liked that just find the storyline lacking in any depth and I don't really care if he gets home or not.
