Finding Combee

Have you ever heard of that three-headed bee, Combee?

Of course, the female variant evolves into Vespiquen, but I often have trouble obtaining them.

And they're such a pain to find (especially if you're hunting for a female one)!

I only encountered one female Combee in any game I had so far (Platinum), I since caught and evolved her into Vespiquen after trading her to SoulSilver.

At least Vespiquen can now be found in shaking grass on Route 12 in BW, but I can still never find a female Combee?

Do you think it's so hard finding a female Combee, cos they are the only ones worth catching?

Oh, I know. Believe me. I got lucky, though, in White, I managed to come across a female Combee on about the 10th one I came across. It was either that or hope for the 5% encounter rate to kick in and find a Vespiquen, since neither of which were on the GTS that I could satisfy. With the shaking grass venture, I found a Sunflora, but no Vespiquen.

As it's talking about Combee in general in the games, I'll move this to Pokemon Gaming Central.

I got female combee from a tree on a second try back in Diamond so I suppose I was lucky. Didn't need it though as later I just got Vespiquen via the GTS. I think I only remember that because it had Pokerus.

I have never had trouble finding Combee as a female. Found it easily in Gen 4 and didn't take me too long to find it in Gen 5.

Finding a female Combee was such a pain in D/P/P. But then again, I don't really use them since Vespiquen isn't viable competitively, though it has a few merits.

I beg to differ - I don't think it's that hard to get a female Combee in D/P/Pt, as once I do find one in a honey tree, I can just simply reload my game (provided that I saved beforehand) & try again until I get a female one.

Of course, it's harder to find one in HG/SS & B/W, but still, I'm not worried.
