So much in so little time...

-----

I sat and kept quiet as Raike started to laugh at Harley's injuries. What kind of a person does that? That's just horrible. Josh started to yell at him before Harley told Josh to shut up and defended herself. She was pretty good at it, better than i'd expect from her due to the way she had acted before. Anthony, Harley and Kellyn left for the resteraunt across the street. Raike headed for the roof and we ordered room service. I just got a vanilla milkshake and sat in the chair I had been in for awhile, sipping the milkshake. Some guy named John knocked on the door at the same time Raike had returned. John gave Josh a letter and a pokeball, which contained a small Raichu named Amp, which I found funny as that was my Exploud's name. Miharu left for a few minutes, when she said she'd be gone an hour.

An idea popped into my head and I pulled out my cellphone to text my sister. "Hey, Krystal, get Dream to teleport to me."

"Okay." In a minute my Musharna, Dream, was floating in front of me. I handed her my bow and arrows, but not my sword as I couldn't be left weaponless. She teleported back to my house in Unova and I texted my sister again, "Can you get Damian to do a little...tinkering?" I asked.

"Sure. What for?"

"No reason. He'll know what to do to it." I put my phone away and began sipping on my milkshake again. Then I figured I could add to more pokemon to my team. Anthony said two, but he was no longer here. One of these two was obvious, Cinder. The other would probably be Dream. Another thought then popped into my head, I wonder if there are any videogames here?

_________________________________________________________________________

Since basically everyone has explained their past but Kris, i'll think of it all right now. I have the basics in my head, but for now Kris can stay the enigma of the group :P

Miharu shrugged. "I was back at the gym; I thought dealing with Nightmare might take an hour or less. And I think we should probably wait for leaving to the Distortion World for a couple of hours. After all, it was only a few hours ago when the train derailed. We should rest, as in sleep, for maybe two or three hours before heading out. Plus, we'll be teleporting there, so it wouldn't do too badly to lose a couple of hours. Does everyone agree with this?"

Again, Miharu didn't really feel like being the "leader" of the group; she would rather state her ideas and have people disagree or agree. Although when the time comes down to it, like with the train derailing, Miharu might be okay with ordering people around, but probably when it was in an emergency. She would rather just fade in the background, but it seemed that what she wanted didn't usually happen. She rubbed her wrists tentatively. For some reason, her wrists, ankles, and knees seemed to have been getting more sore and tired. If it wasn't for the fact that she was seventeen, she would have thought that she was getting old.

((OOC: Another bunnying post))
By the time their meals had arrived, Kellyn, Harley and Anthony had all told their stories to one another. Anthony's salad arrived and despite it looking somewhat delicious and mouth-watering, he only ate a fraction of it. They sat there in silence for a bit and when Anthony noticed that everyone was practically finished, he spoke up, "The sun is going down, there is a boat that leaves for Canalave City in about ten minutes from the wharf to the west of here." If we can catch that boat, we can make it to Canalave before the sun goes down." He paused for a bit, "I don't want to be in this City anymore, especially with them." he added, pointing at the hotel across the street. Anthony got upfrom his seat and paid at the counter; it had been an inexpensive meal.

Two minutes later and they were walking out of the western gatehouse of Jubilife City, their boat to Canalave City ahead. It wasn't much, but it would take them straight to the port of the city. Within ten minutes they were docked in Canalave City, the boat ride being uneventful, in fact the only uneventful thing they had done all day. Anthony guided Harley and Kellyn to the Water-edge Hotel, a small hotel that was inexpensive, but very accomodating.

"You two can stay here and rest up if you wish, it is quite nice." He said turning to Harley and Kellyn, "I on the other hand am going to the Canalave Library," and pointed to the big, old building across the waterway, "feel free to join me when ever you want."

Anthony walked a couple of steps before turning around and adding; "I know this may not be as fun as going to the Distortion World, but I believe that we can find some answers here." He turned around and continued towards the library.

Rest, FINALLY!

-----

"I was back at the gym; I thought dealing with Nightmare might take an hour or less. And I think we should probably wait for leaving to the Distortion World for a couple of hours. After all, it was only a few hours ago when the train derailed. We should rest, as in sleep, for maybe two or three hours before heading out. Plus, we'll be teleporting there, so it wouldn't do too badly to lose a couple of hours. Does everyone agree with this?" Miharu explained.

"Sure," I replied, trying to think of what Damian might do to my bow. I knew a few things he would definately do, but he did tend to add that unexpected extra. "It's better than collapsing from exhaustion. Especially since we have to hike the Distortion World." I added. I started to think about how things had been going. First, we all met on Mirage Island. Things were fine and there was no tension between anyone. Raike developed a crush on Miharu and then we hopped on the train, which derailed causing injuries and Josh going insane. Then we came here, tension rose for some reason and the new guy showed up. It sounded a lot simpler than it was when put that way, even if we only met not even a day ago. Now the group was splitting up, though still going to our original destinations. But after that? I had no idea. We were just a bunch of teenagers that had problems, and Josh and Raike seemed to be controlled by hormones, which didn't make things any better. God, I hope that never happens to me. I thought, before laughing silently so no one would notice.

Miharu shrugged. "We will not be hiking much though. If I can take a guess, it would, perhaps, take us twenty or so minutes. So, we can either go now or rest. Kris has voted for rest, we just need Raike's and Josh's opinions...hmm, I wonder how this could be a democracy when we have four people."

Miharu blinked at Kris's silent laughing. "Why is Kris laughing?"

"I'd rather we get everything over with" Josh said, "despite that I think rest would be a good idea" Josh agreed with Kris.

The silence has been heard...

-----

"Why is Kris laughing?" Miharu asked.

I looked up at her, "Huh? Oh, no reason..." I replied.

Then Josh voted, "I'd rather we get everything over with," Josh said, "Despite that I think rest would be a good idea."

"Yeah. Besides, I was hoping to wait until morning. My friend will be sending me...something." I added.

-Raike rubbed his head with his hand, swearing slightly. He was beginning to get a headache, probably from fatigue. He sighed before crossing his arms and getting a thoughtful look on his face, his mouth showing a slight frown.-

"You know, maybe it would be better if we actually did meet Giritina. She has been alive much longer than all of us, maybe she would know something about that cloud. Hell, she might even know of the ones who came before us? Dan never told me much about them, he just mentioned them... But for now we should rest. I for one, am still healing the wounds from a few weeks ago, and we are all tired. I vote we stay."

-Raike yawned almost as if to emphasis the point that he himself was tired. He also stretched wincing as he forgot about the gash from this morning, causing the wound to open a bit. He then just sighed and sank into a chair.-

"Let Miharu take the bed. Even if she doesn't show it, I know she is probably the most tired. She worked the hardest out of all of us, she and Bishamon. I'm pretty sure she is both physically, mentally and emotionally drained."

-Raike sent a sympathetic look at her, nodding his head.-

Josh picked up the viola off the bed, laid it on the dresser and headed for the door, Odessa followed him and Amp followed her, Josh almost laughed at the absurd little line that had resulted, "I'm not tired so i'm going to go make a call, and afterwards maybe walk around a little but. I'll be back before we have to leave" Josh said. He opened the door and left the room, Odessa and Amp following through the doorway before it closed on them.

Canalave was a nice looking place. It was cosy and fairly small, only a few houses dotted in the city plus a bridge, a port and a library. There was also a gym but Harley was barely interested in that. The library seemed like her place. Like the others had said, it was full of history books that would be full of things Harley had never heard before. History had always definitely been her favourite thing to research; legendary Pokémon had always facinated her. She had never seen one up close before. Ceri usually created their illusions, but they never felt like the real thing. Once, she swear she had seen Ho-Oh in the sky. Other than that, she had only seen them in books.

"Yeah, sure, I'll come with," Harley said following Anthony towards the library. It was old looking, but that only meant the books in it were as old as it was, perhaps even older.

Miharu shook her head no as she watched Josh leave out of the corner of her eye. "No, someone else can take the bed. I have not been injured at all; others have been more injured." She glanced at Raike's wound at his side.

Although the look Raike sent her was sympathetic, it seemed too much like pity; she hated pity, despised it actually. Her situation wasn't terrible, she had down a lot of things in her life; a lot of great things. What did it matter that her mum just died, and herfatherdidn'twantherand...

Miharu blinked, feeling the headache come back. It seemed that her mind was in a jumble again. Miharu glanced out the window, noticing a fairly large tree branch near it. She walked towards the window, and opened it, enjoying the breeze on her face. While analyzing how much power she had to jump with, she put a foot on the window sill. She glanced behind her at Raike and Kris.

"I sleep better outside anyways. I slept outside a lot, usually up on trees. I will probably sleep easier outside." With that said, Miharu jumped out of the window and aimed for the tree branch. She had managed to grab the tree branch and made sure she was steady before pulling a leg over the branch and getting herself up on top. She almost laughed, hysterical or not she didn't know. She hadn't done that one in awhile.

She had managed to move on another branch, one that was facing away from the hotel. She slid down and sat comfortably on the limb. Miharu quietly hummed to herself, willing herself to sleep. She closed her eyes, allowing the noises of the slightly quiet forest to wash over her. She fell asleep almost instantly.

Suicide and sleep...

-----

When it was decided we were to take a rest, Josh left the room. I was almost surprised when Miharu jumped out the window, as the first thought that comes to mind when someone does that is 'suicude'. Then I realized she had not jumped to her doom, just to a tree branch to sleep for the night. I decided I would head to bed too. I set my bag down next to a couch, put my pokeballs down beside that and layed down on the couch. Dusk jumped up and layed down on my stomache. I shut my eyes to drift off to sleep, which came rather easily due to me being tired from the day.

-Raike seemed surprised at first, then grinned, standing up. Raike had been living in forests for a looong time, way before they had been called into this whole mess. He prepped himself to jump, making up his mind that he was not stalking her, but merely going to a place where he knew he could sleep, a bed would not do. He ran and jumped, unfortunately overshooting the branch. Luckily he was able to hook his legs around one of the massive branches, and swung himself up, crossing his arms behind his head and sighing. He was thankful for the huge tree, otherwise it would have cracked and fallen under the weight of the two people. He closed his eyes, not entirely sleeping, but entering a state of semi-consciousness while his body rested.-

Josh didn't make the call immediately, he walked far away from the hotel, spotting Miharu jumping into a tree from the hotel room as he walked by. Josh shrugged and kept walking for a good three blocks before choosing a random pay-phone on the street. He inserted a few quarters and listened to it ring, he knew that he would get a machine but that was the point of calling so late at night.

"Hi, this is Paul-" Josh heard on the phone, and the lucky lady of the week?, "and this is Crystal" Josh flinched with rage, of course Father's current girlfriend would share his sister's name. "Leave a message at the beep" they said together, Paul's deep voice overriding Crystal's light voice easily.

"It's Josh" Josh started after the beep, and by this point his father would delete the message, "I lost my cell, i'll call you back when I get a new one" he said, "Also I'll be coming over at some point to talk about Nirvana again, K?" he said, "I'll see you later then I guess" Josh said, hanging up the phone.

Josh wasn't sure what to do after the phone call, insomnia had caught him in its clutches and wasn't letting go. Amp had fallen asleep on top of Odessa when he had been on the phone, he returned Amp to his ball. The phone rang behind him, "damn caller ID" Josh thought, he picked up the phone, "YOUR NOT GETTING NIRVANA, NOT NOW, NOT LATER, NEVER!!" His father's voice yelled through the phone. Josh got angry, "And why should the step-father of my sister have more say over her Pokemon then her own brother?" Josh said, rage tinting his voice. "I may only have been her step-father but I am your father through and through and as such I demand you stop raisin this issue again and again" his fathers voice had taken the same rage tinted tone. Josh's rage broke, "WHY SHOULD THE MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OWN WIFE AND DAUGHTER'S DEATH IN A FAILED SUICIDE ATTEMPT HAVE ANY CLAIM OVER ANY ASPECT OF ANY PERSONS LIFE" he yelled angrily. Josh didn't stop but his tone changed to a mix of fury and sadness,"I found the letter when I got home from the hospital, you thought I didn't but I did, I did and I have hated you every day since, and the only reason I still talk is because I don't want the last memories or Crystal, my sister, abused and neglected while you try and find happiness you don't deserve" Josh was on the verge of crying, "I'll be visiting soon to pick up Nirvana" he said, sadness quickly replacing the fury in his voice.

He hit the disconnect and walked away, the phone rang again behind him but he didn't pick up. He only stopped when he realized he was back at the hotel, he didn't want to go back up yet, he knew himself and he knew he couldn't trust himself not to do something completely and utterly stupid. He leaned against the wall, and fell asleep grappling with the rage and sadness talking to his father had brought him.

((OOC: And Cue your timeskip post, Michaela. add Dialga appearing, then ill post again for the two.))

Anthony and Harley worked through most of the night, looking through books both old and new yet found no information what so ever on people called Shifters of their Catalysts. The history books continued to pile up around the two, sifting through the books to find even a glimpse of others like them, then going off to get more. On more than one occasion, they had fallen asleep on the table, book half open from digging. They would wake up only minutes later and begin searching again, but after a couple of hours and nothing to show for it, they piled all the books back into the shelves where they belong, yawning their heads off.

"One more level," Anthony said in a half yawn, "we have worked all the floors, bar the top, so whats the bet we will find something there, huh?" he said offhand to Harley who just nodded and followed him up the stairs. Both their their pokemon lay curled up of the floor, and grumbled as their trainers woke them to move to the next floor up.

They had been looking through some older books for about half an hour when Harley came across something, "Anthony, take a look at this," and they suddenly became more awake, the news of finding something cheering them up. It was written in Unown, a language Anthony could not decipher, but Harley could.

"the grey world, the black monster, the shifting children. Past, present and future, the cycle continues, Win, lose it happens together." Harley translated, looking a bit puzzled, Anthony furrowed his brow, the statement was weird.

"The grey world and black monster is definately the Aether Realm and the Cloud, same for us the 'shifting children'," Anthony stated, "but then it talks about past, present and future...hmmm," he rubbed his chin thinking.

"Maybe, this happens all the time," Harley said, "remember how I said about there being no one older than you? Maybe it has to do with the time, at certain times, shifters become present to help stop this... thing."

Anthony thought about this, it did make sense, "But what about the last statement? 'win, lose it happens together.' what could that mean?" he asked.

"I have no clue" Harley replied.

Their thought processes were interupted by and incredibly bright flash and a miniature earthquake that shook the room. When it stopped they could hear people outside, down below, some screaming, others yelling. They both looked at each other, got up from their chairs and bolted down the stairs; their pokemon following behind.

They left the library and turned the corner, people were milling around the bridge, and the two saw why; Palkia, Legendary of Space, hovering above the bridge that separated the town in two. Both Harley and Anthony were surprised at seeing a legendary up close, more so when it turned to them and bellowed a cry into the sky.

((OOC: Miharu? Miharu? Why does everyone keep calling me "Miharu"? DX))

It was a couple hours until everyone had woken up. Miharu was slightly shocked seeing Raike in a branch near her, but didn't let it show. Everyone already had all of their weapons, pokemon, and other items ready to go. Miharu grabbed Bishamon's pokeball and everyone teleported away from the hotel.

They had all appeared in front of a bunch of regular looking trees. Before anyone could ask what they were there for, Miharu held up the pendant with the purple stone with black matter inside. Suddenly, the trees disappeared and in front of them was a path through the forest. Miharu walked on the path, the others following her. After twenty minutes of walking, they had managed to made it to a mountain. Miharu grabbed another pokeball and let out her Dragonite. After seeing her, Dragonite hugged her tightly. Miharu patted Dragonite's stomach to say that Dragonite was crushing her ribs, and Dragonite let go.

"Anyone who does not have a flying pokemon can use Dragonite to fly up the mountain," stated Miharu. Anyone who didn't have a flying pokemon climbed onto Dragonite and anyone who did have a flying pokemon let their own out. Everyone flew to the top of the mountain which was slightly foggy. Through the fog, Miharu noticed a lake in the depression of the mountain and a small cave entrance. Before she could point it out, the fog suddenly flew away and floating in the sky above the depression was Dialga, the lord of time. Upon seeing him, Miharu groaned, knowing how this was going to end up.

Josh was on Miharu's dragonite when Dialga appeared, he wondered vaguely why Raike seemed so surprised, they had been expecting to meet a Legendary. His mind wondered over that statement for a moment before realizing they had been expecting to meet Giratina, not Dialga. "We haven't done jack yet, what reason would it have to attack us?" Josh yelled as to be heard over the flapping of the Dragonite's wings. The statement sounded quite hollow though, he wondered just how much damage they would suffer if they were attacked. "Death is assured" is the conclusion he came to, what with the Legend's always being Uber-powerful and the drop they would sustain from this height probably being fatal on its own.

"Holy ish! Is... is that Dialga?! What the hell is he doing here."

-Raike groaned, rubbing his head with one hand, while also holding onto Aero with one hand. He had heard stories of a trainer named Ash, well some called him Satoshi. If they were true, he had met all of the legendaries, but it almost always started out violently. He then turned to Miharu, shouting over the wind. -

"Well captain? What do we do now? God knows some ish is bout to go down..."

((This is before Zammy's post))

Don't play with time...

-----

When Dialga appeared, I pulled out my phone. Krystal, I could use Dream, Cinder and my bow...NOW! Seconds after I sent the text message, Dream appeared in front of me. She had my bow and two pokeballs with her. I took the pokeballs, returned her to hers, and grabbed my bow. I would have time to examine it as soon as I actually knew what was going on. "So, Dialga. The lord of time." I said as I stared as the amazing blue creature, "What brings you here?" I asked, not really expecting a reply. I held the bow in one hand, the other went to my belt, ready to send out a pokemon if needed. I didn't plan on fighting Dialga, as long as he didn't plan on fighting us.

"P-P-Palkia!!" Harley gasped. It was like a dream coming true! The aura, the feeling, the sheer size of it. It was all so unreal! Being in its presence filled Harley with some kind of happy feeling, yet she was quite fearful for her life. "Master and controller of space! One of the deities of Sinnoh! The creators of the world! Ceri! It's... unbelievable! This is amazing! It's beautiful!"

She watched in awe as it shouted to the sky. She had always dreamed of meeting a legendary Pokémon (although Palkia was probably not her favourite) and now it was coming true! What should she do? Speak to it? Walk up to it? Challenge it? None of these were attemptable at the moment, Harley's legs were glued to the ground in shock.

"This is amazing!" she said again. "But what do we do?"
