Focus Shift

Miharu sighed and glanced the mysterious man at the door. "Well, if the guy in front of the door asks if anyone here is Josh Cross and knows that someone here is named Josh Cross, than what is the point of asking? All that would do is make the people inside of their guard up. So, yes, I will continue to treat the guy in front of the door like an idiot because he is an idiot."

Miharu glanced at Raike, noticing the movement.

Raike realised there was an even more effective method of defence. He grabbed two forks, ready to throw when needed. The old man had taught him not only martial arts and shifting, but also knife throwing. Raike had never tried it with forks, but now would be the perfect time. He stopped once more, cupping his hands around his mouth and yelled.-

"HEY NIGHTMARE SOME CREEPER DUDE IS ABOUT TO TOUCH MIHARU!"
-When Raven heard this, she crouched low, waiting for Nightmare to show and exact her revenge.-

Miharu blinked. "Raike, Nightmare is back in Pallet Town. He will not be able to hear Raike."

Suddenly there was a faint yell. "IF SOME DUDE WAS TRYING TO TOUCH MIHARU, THEIR BALLS WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN CUT OFF BY HER!"

Miharu blinked, then rolled her eyes, although she had a faint blush covering her cheeks.

Harley shook her head. She didn't feel like spending too much money, plus she ate about an hour ago. She hadn't had a drink except water today, so maybe something different to spice it up. She never really had much alchohol in her life, but she was old enough and apparently, those kinds of things could numb the pain.

"Rum and Coke, please, if you have it," Harley nodded. "If you don't, something alchoholic. With coke in it. Please. And thanks." She added to Anthony.

The waitor nodded and walked off, taking a small glance back to look at her bruises. Harley rolled her eyes and took another attempt at wrapping her arm. It fell apart this time. She sighed heavily and held her arm out to Anthony.

"Can you help... uh, please?" She turned her head away from him. She didn't like help from people, but if she did this wrong, something bad could happen like an infection. She didn't want that.

"As I said, I was trying to be polite" he said darkly to Miharu, "Either way, my name is John" he stated, "and these" he said, holding up the Poke-ball and letter, "Are for Josh Cross" he said, pushing them into Josh's hand.

Josh looked at the letter, it was one sheet folded into three part and stamped with a wax seal that had been broken. "Nice Vivaldi, have a good life" the man said, letting the door close behind him as he walked away.

Josh unfolded the letter and started reading, it was in flowing cursive script.

"Hello once again,
If you are readin this then I am dead.
I planned in case this happens and yet I hope things turn out well enough that you never have to read this.
You are a good person, you helped me save many many people, even if you were unaware of what you were doing at the time.
Their is no way for me to completely repay the good you have done, but I will try by entrusting my Raichu, Amp, to you.
He will protect you as well as he is able, for I know helping me has probably left you with enemies.
I am deeply sorry for any pain that you have experienced from helping me, and I hope that you will live a safe, happy life after all of it is through

Sincerly, Sarah G.

Josh knew who the letter was from, even if he had never heard 'her' name he had know the name of 'her' Raichu. He let Amp out of the ball, who let off a few sparks and a cheerful cry of "RAI~" before spotting Odessa on the bed and jumping up to hug her. Josh smile, Amp was a Raichu that was small for its size, nearly the same size as a normal Pikachu. He was happy that Amp was with him now, he remembered Amp as cheerful and energetic and that didn't seem to have changed in the slightest.

OOC: This happened before you had your Q & A...

BIC: Kellyn sighed as the people around him started to fight. He was even fearful when Harley walked in bruised and hurt. He didn't know if he wanted to stay with these people, but they were shifters like him.

Kellyn walked out of the hotel room and walked to the not-so-far away restaurant and spotted Harley and Anthony. He walked up to them and sat down at their table.

"hello," he said, "But do you guys always fight like that?"

Anthony smiled at Harley as she held her arm out to him, "Its not a problem." He begun to wrap the bandage around her arm, "I am going to do it a bit tight, so it might hurt for a little, but once the pain killers kick in, you should be fine." He held the bandage in place with one hand and begun wrapping the bandage around Harley's arm, making sure it was tight enough not to hurt badly and cut of circulation, but to not allow for anything to get under the bandage so that the wounds could heal.

Within a minute he had finished, tying the bandage off at her shoulder and sat back down in his chair as their drinks arrived. "Feel better?" he asked before taking a sip of his water. "So Harley, what is your story? your history of sorts?" he asked.

Kellyn arrived a little after Harley and Anthony's drinks had arrived. He laughed at Kellyn's question, "We have only just met a few hours ago," he started, "so not usually. What is your story Kellyn?" he asked politely as Kellyn sat down.

Kellyn immediately went quiet, realizing he interrupted Anthony and Looked at the table. He looked over at Harley waiting for her answer.

((OOC: D= I don't like calling pokemon "its". x_x))

Miharu waved to John as he left. "Sayonara baka-san~!" She watched as Josh let the Raichu out of "its" pokeball and saw "it" run up to Josh's umbreon and hug her.

Miharu rose an eyebrow. "Mind explaining Josh?"

"Well" Josh said, stretching it out, "if I remember correctly Amp is in love with Odessa" he said, looking as Amp released Odessa from the hug. Josh looked at her and realized he had completely misunderstood the question, "You meant him" he said, gesturing towards the door, "No clue who he was, i'd assume he was 'her- I mean Sarah's brother but I don't know that" he said.

Miharu sighed. "Josh is incorrect on all accounts, but I guess I got the answer to my question from the answers that Josh gave me." Miharu looked outside, reading from the sun what time it was. She noticed it was the correct time to leave to see that guy. "Sorry, but I have to leave for about...an hour perhaps. Maybe less. I will be back." Miharu grabbed Bishamon's pokeball and disappeared from the room.

Harley rubbed her left arm a little. It felt a bit better, it was the good kind of pain, the kind that distracts you from other pain. Like the kind of pain when a friend slaps you on the back. Her story? Kellyn joined the two at the table. Harley lightly shrugged.

"I don't really have a story. But uh, I grew up in Ecruteak in Johto, the place where Burned Tower and Bell Tower is and you know, where Ho-Oh and Lugia were said to live at one point. I have parents, an older brother and younger sister, I have three Pokémon; My first was Tarth, my Lucario. Second, Ceri. Third, Appa, my Pidgey. We've all been friends for nine years. I never went on a Pokémon journey, I just went to Blackthorn and back. I challenged Morty a few times, only won once. Before now, I spent all my time drawing and reading history books. I don't know how to hold a gun, how to handle a knife and I have never killed anyone in my life," Harley rubbed her lips together. She had really never opened up to many people, but it felt kind of good with a small crowd. "My life is not nearly as exciting as everyone elses seems to be."

Harley sighed and frowned. Was that about it? "Oh!" She nodded. "I can't speak anything else but English, but I can read Unown glyphs and footprint runes. Okay that's it. What about you?" She sipped on her rum and coke. This was the first time she had ever had it. It tasted surprisingly good.

Josh was confused for a minute, "I was wrong but still answered right?" he said questioningly. He shrugged and went to lay across the bed, Odessa laying across his chest. Amp had noticed Raike and gave him a small wave before turning his attention back to Odessa. Josh noticed and gave a small laugh before remembering what Raike had said after jumping in the window ,"Apology accepted, I probably shouldn't have been so critical about it either so sorry about that" Josh said.

-Raike sighed putting the fork down but keeping his pokeball out, grinning at Josh. He began to toss it up and down, still looking at him.-

"I'm not really the nosy type, but I think this will make things fair. She's asked her questions, and knows some of the reasons why we are who we are, but we don't know too much about her, well besides your little Q&A. I think I'm gonna follow her... want to come with? We will have to drop by the pokemon center so I can pick up my Pidgeot so you can ride, and also my Growlithe so we can track her down. Are you in?

"I want to know more about her as well." Josh said, he thought for a second, if she caught them it would not end well, "I'm in, we probably won't learn anything but we'll never know until we try" he said.

Miharu, unsuspecting to the two that were planning to following her (except for a sneeze), was back at her gym. She had planned to get ready for the trip to Turnback Cave and knew that she had some equipment at the gym. Nightmare had ran up to her and grinned. "So, what do you need trainer of mine?"

Miharu rolled her eyes. "I am getting my weapons." She had pressed a spot in the wall and it flipped, revealing several different weapons. She had decided to bring her Sai, as well as the knives she was already carrying and the gun with bullets. She put both of halves of the Sai in their seethe. She then pressed the spot in the wall again and all of the weapons had disappeared. Nightmare grinned at the sight. Miharu, noticing this, glared.

"Nightmare...no touching the weapons, no looking at the weapons, no holding the weapons, no using the weapons, hell do not even breathe on the weapons." Nightmare, hearing this, groaned.

"You're no fun~!" he whined. Miharu shrugged and walked outside. "Dragonite, Gyarados, and Togekiss, come." Within seconds, all three of the pokemon were in front of her. "I will bring Dragonite, Gyarados, and Togekiss with me to the Distortion World." She held up their pokeballs. "Return." They were sucked into their own pokeballs.

Miharu glanced at Nightmare. "Bye Nightmare." Nightmare was still sulking in the corner. Miharu grabbed Bishamon's pokeball and disappeared. She reappeared in the hotel, seeing both Raike and Josh talking. "I am back."

"That" Josh started, "was much less then an hour" he said, Amp gave a small wave cheerful cry "~CHU" at Miharu's return. "I guess we'll be leaving soon then" Josh said, ready for whatever they might end up facing in the distortion world.

-Raike jumped as Miharu appeared once more in the room. He began to scratch his head, closing his eyes and putting on a smile.-

"Oh hey Miharu, took a bit long huh? Eheh, so where did you go anyway?"

-Raven shook her head, looking at the two. She wondered why Raike was so interested in the woman named Miharu so much. As she thought about it more, she began to get jealous. It was quite obvious that Raike liked this girl. What would happen to Raven then?-

"Wow," Anthony exclaimed, a little surprised, "I grew up in Ecruteak too, albeit I was kind of out of town and was only there for about five or six years. I met Pitch there when I was quite young, but most of my childhood I just remember playing with Pitch. My parents moved to Hoenn after, we lived in Dewford Town for a while, except that my mother walked out on my father within a year of moving. I pretty much grew up in Dewford, there were very little children my age there so I spent my life playing and exploring with Pitch. Moved out of home to Mauville when I was 15, worked for Ridel's bike shop until the day before I sent out the call."

"My story isn't very exciting either," he added, taking another sip of his water. "So Kellyn, what's your story? Hopefully it is more exciting than mine and Harley's." he said, the edges of his mouth curling into a half smile.

"Well," Kellyn started, "Nothing special about me either. I grew up in Olivine City and met Bliss here. We didn't like each other at first but we had close call and we saved each other a couple times. After a while we traveled the Johto region and challenged some gyms. I caught Chomp, my Gible, Silver, my Eevee, Joy, my Pidgeotto, and several other pokemon. I came back to Olivine at 13 and the professor there started to teach me. It was pretty uneventful for the next two years until I shifted just before I turned 15. I left again to find and save some legendaries, including Deoxys, Jirachi, and Giratina." He sighed, rubbing his temples from all of the fighting from earlier. "And then I finally came to Jubilife and started to work as an IT for a while. Then I received your Call."

He grabbed the coke he ordered and took a drink. "Most trainers do what I did, so I wouldn't say it was that exciting to others. To me it was though, meeting people and pokemon."
