Focus Shift

-Raike cast a sideways glance at Miharu before also speaking.-

"Yes, I think I will also be leaving, as this whole "saving the world" thing just doesn't suite me. I think I preferred the life of traveling and carelessness."

-Raven nodded calmly, agreeing with Raike. Flare and Valkrie turned and nodded also, a more serious expression on their faces now.-

"I have already packed my things."

Kellyn sighed, what a ****** up group, he thought, but he told them the truth, "You are my kinda people,"he laughed, "except maybe the killing part. And I do hope it's not me joining thats made you decide to leave Miharu and you," he said to the other kid. He walked to the chair and sat down.

Miharu, he had heard that name before, but he couldn't put a finger on it.

The testing begins...

-----

Anthony walked in along with another boy named Kellyn, another shifter. I got a little confused when Miharu and Raike said they were leaving, but that was probably the test Miharu talked about earlier. Josh explained our situation very bluntly, and the newcomer took it quite well. Most people would freak out when someone told them they had murdered another. Nobody in our group so far had really.

"So, Kellyn, what's your story?" I asked, not really extremely interested, but I wanted to change the subject.

"So, Kellyn, what's your story?" asked a boy who had not said his name.

"Not really much of a story," Kellyn answered. "To put it blankly, I've been an intern for my town's professor, found out I was a shifter, met this cloud in the aether world, and received the call from Anthony here. Probably the same story with all of you."

He repositioned himself in the chair, trying to get a more comfortable view.

Miharu shrugged. "I am leaving because Kellyn is joining, but it is not the reason that Kellyn thinks. I can leave because Kellyn joined, but it is not because of Kellyn in specific that I am leaving." Miharu paused. "Even if I leave, everyone here can use this hotel room, but if I get a bill because of something that happened...I will hunt everyone down and make them pay a fair share. Except for maybe, Raike, who says he is leaving also." Miharu shrugged. "Although, since Raike explained his reasons for leaving this ragtag band of misfits, I pretty much have to state mine as well." Miharu paused. "Actually, I do not, but I might as well anyways. I feel that we are moving at too slow a pace, while we are staying here although we might not having a fun time, the world could be damaged as we speak. I, myself, am going to head over to the Distortion World. Anyone can join me, but they, technically, do not have to quit this "group" I suppose. After all, we are working for the same causes, just at different speeds. Raike can even come with, even if it is just to try to find that Dusclops and battling Giratina. Anyone feel like meeting a legendary pokemon?"

Kellyn looked back at Miharu, thinking how cool it would be to see Giratina once again. He slightly wondered if SHE remembered him but pushed thought away to stick at the task at hand. "I would love to go," he finally said, "but from the sounds of it, Anthony is the leader and I think he may know more, so that I can learn about shifting."

"If this comes down to an actual decision then i'm going with Miharu" Josh said calmly, "She knows things I don't want other people to know" He looked at Miharu, "no offence but i've known you maybe a total of fifteen hours, so I don't exactly trust you not to tell anyone else".

-Raike paused, looking back at his pokemon. They nodded, and he turned back to Miharu-

"Heh why not I still do have to go back for Dusclops, but angering an immortal pokemon isn't on my list. Well, I'm ready anyway, how about you Miharu?"

-Flare balled up one fist, and thrust it into his other palm, creating a spark.-

Harley sat at her own private table, recieving skeptic looks from every passer-byer. Harley could understand why, she probably would too if she saw someone like she was now. She gently stroked her left arm; it still stung badly. She was full and sleepy and wanted to crash on a bed somewhere. Anywhere. Like the hotel. As much as she didn't want the group seeing her as she was (these bruises were definitely a sign of weakness, plus the bandages on her shoulders and left arm were not very discreet either), she was very exhausted from drowning and falling down three flights of stairs, the sleep in the hospital was barely enough. She grabbed Ceri's had and they both trudged their way back to the hotel. It wasn't too far and Harley was too sore to try and attempt any more drawing.

* * *

She swung the door open of the hotel room quite violently and slammed it open, everybody from the group was inside, including Anthony, Josh, Miharu, the other two whom she didn't know their names plus an extra. The noise all attracted their attention and all eyes were on her. Great. She didn't expect everybody to be here. And who was the new guy?

"What, replaced me already?" Harley made her tone as sarcastic as possible; she wouldn't be surprised if that was the truth. She was weak, useless and self centred. And a terrible trainer.

Miharu nodded at Raike, and blinked when Harley came through the door, the entire left side of her body bruised. Even her left eye was a bit bloodshot.

"No, this is just Kellyn who will probably be replacing Josh, Raike, and myself," stated Miharu. "Unless Harley wants to join us? We have decided that Anthony is going too slow with the investigation and have decided to go to the Distortion World and find out what is happening on our own. We will probably meet with Giratina as well since we are going into her domain."

Time to choose a side...

-----

I listened as the conversation went on. So far, Miharu, Raike and Josh were leaving. Josh was only leaving to follow Miharu. Harley barged in the room a little later and wondered if she was being replaced. Miharu vaguely explained the situation to her.

"Well, I think i'll go with Miharu. Mainly because I was the first one to volunteer to go with her to the Distorion World." I began to explain, "I'm going to stay neutral in the war of picking Anthony or Miharu's group though." It hadn't even been very long since we had all met, and already things were going to hell. We've been attacked, we've attacked, one of us has murdered somebody and there was still much more going on. I thought it might be nice if nothing more happened for a little while, but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Harley raised an eyebrow and shut the door behind her.

"One person replacing three? Is that a little ridiculous? What, do you have invincibility or something?" Too slow? What, relaxing for half a day was a litle too much? Wasn't Miharu the one that suggested to stay at the hotel. The way she made it sound, it was less of her leaving and more of her creating a cult. Harley sighed until she heard the word Giratina.

"You're meeting Giratina?" She turned to Anthony. "Are we meeting Giratina?"

Josh was shocked by the state Harley was in and took a moment to come up with a response, "Harley?" he said questioningly, "are you alright?" he said uncertainly.

"Yes," Harley said a little slowly, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She tried to be casual with her movements as she made her way down to a couch; she stung horribly, she would probably need some kind of painkiller soon otherwise she will be rendered useless and need to get around by wheelchair or something ridiculous. Ceri followed her in, holding her hand and keeping her steady, her hands shaking.

"I'm... fine. I just fell," Harley shrugged. Even that hurt.

Ouch, that must sting.

-----

After Josh asked Harley if she was alright, I actually looked at her and studied her. She was bruised, really badly. It was obvious that when she walked each step hurt. I didn't think it would be a good idea for her to go with us, so maybe she should stick to the library. "Harley, I think the Distortion World would be a little much for you right now anyway. So I think you should maybe stay with Anthony and go...read some books." I said, trying to not sound like I was saying she was worthless. I just didn't think it would be a good idea to have someone that injured running around in a different world.

Miharu went to another room connected to the hotel room that they were in now. She came back with two pills, painkillers, and a glass of water. She gave them both to Harley. "Here, for the pain that Harley is most obviously in."

-At the sight of Harley, Raike snickered a bit, covering his own mouth to silence himself. His shoulders still shook with his laughter. Before long he couldn't take it, and burst out laughing, waving her off, in a way.-

"Ha... I'm sorry. Heh I need a minute... hahaa!"

-Raike ran into the one of the bedrooms, shutting the door behind him. An even louder sound of laughter followed, as his pokemon also gave into laughing-

((I'm sorry I needed to XD))

Josh gave Raike a dark look as Raike went into another room, "How the hell is this funny?" Josh asked seriously. Josh gave a small sigh and turned his attention back to the others, "I guess we'll be splitting up now then?" Josh said, "hope things work out on your end" he said to Anthony's group.

-A voice of equal volume answered josh, though evidence of laughter could be heard also.-

"Its funny cause, haha she probably got it because she fell down the stairs or something! But that's also how it's not funny, so you have to make a choice. I just chose to laugh!Bwahaha! Aww man. That was good. Haha I'm done."

-But apparently Flare and Valkyrie weren't because they were still laughing on the floor-

"I've already killed two people tonight and your gunning to be the third" Josh said loudly and not without mirth. Josh couldn't stand others getting amusement from another pain, he hoped that Harley was ok.
