Paradoxes and rabid pokemon...

-----

"And I don't think we are supposed to change something, because if we did it would create a time paradox, blah blah blah. But in the event that I am wrong I guess it would be a good idea to see if there were any shifters out there at the moment. Besides, they might have money." Raike said.

At that statement I spoke up again, "No, the time paradox would already have been created. Whatever we did here has already happened, as it is the past." I paused, thinking of how I could explain something this complicated and have everyone understand, "Time would basically be in an eternal loop. In our time, as this time has already passed, we would have already been here and back...that is, if we get back..." I hesitated but didn't get to talk anymore as an Ursaring and Persian joined our little group. They seemed rabid or something, but 'Michio' and Josh fought them off. "Pity, Teddiursa is one of my favorite pokemon..." This wasn't a very accurate statement, as I was horrible at picking favorites. I liked all pokemon, but just a few I liked the best. "Also, I like Josh's plan. They both sound good but, Josh's seems easier to pull off."

OOC: Gah, time paradox D=
Also, sure. Make Kris lose an arm =/ (Remember, he doesn't have just a bow, he also has a katana =D) and, interesting story :)

-Raike looked back at Miharu, his face forming a small smile, before turning his head back towards the village. He closed his eyes, still smiling, and as he walked, he thought to himself."Yes! This is awesome! Since we are going to be circus people, I don't have to get rid of my cloths, since they would be considered "silly" cloths here!" The Persian on his back was still breathing faintly, causing Raike to speed up. No time to joke around now, this big guy needed real help, real fast, or he won't be hunting anymore pidgey's anytime soon.-

"Hey guys, lets hurry, I don't want this guy to croak on my back, and besides, if 6 more pokemon attack, your gonna be down one trainer."

-Raven sped up a bit, in an attempt to keep pace with Raike. This was in fact, a very familiar situation, Raike was only just remembering. It was after a serious battle between himself and Team Magma, at the top of some volcanoe. I had been able to beat one of the commanders, and in their rage he left his Blaziken there to die, in fact that had been the only reason he was able to escape, because Raike had stopped to help the Blaziken. He had hefted the Blaziken onto his back, and carried him all the way down to the nearest pokemon center, of course he had been resilient, but Raike carried him anyway, and sat by his bed while he was healing. Eventually, he warmed up to Raike, creating a strong bond with him, after that Raike had named him Flare. A single tear rolled down his face as he relived that moment, and he looked to the sky.-

"I hope they're alright...."

Deathwalking... it sounded interesting. Harley played around with the word a few times, perhaps she had read it somewhere or shifted like this once before? Nope, nothing, nothing came to her. Although, as interesting as it sounded, if this Earth's her didn't like talking about it or shifting there, perhaps it was not as best of an idea to investigate into the ability. Still, it sounded useful in some way. Harley wasn't really the person to explain secret abilities anyways. Like her shifting before the call, she never told anyone; she believed it was hers and hers only and no one else deserved the knowledge of her abilities.

"But with Kellyn at his side and Anthony and Harley dead, Arceus has no worry about us being alive since we cannot stop him without everyone together." Raike finished. Harley's heart sank a little. She could see where this was going.

"Okay, before you suggest anything, I think we should head back to your camp. And sleep. And eat," Harley nodded. If what the others were saying had truth to it, being here in this world meant that Palkia had sent them here to destroy Arceus. Great.

"Okay, before you suggest anything, I think we should head back to your camp. And sleep. And eat," Harley nodded.

Alternate Raike looked at the others, "err, that is where we are taking you," he laughed a little, "but I don't think Miharu is too happy about it," he looked cautiously towards the front of the cart, but Miharu had not heard him. With a sign of relief he relaxed back. Anthony took a look at Harley and smiled, it seemed that the Alternate Miharu and Raike had a thing going between them too.

The group had walked into the village, but welcoming them was several hard stares and a couple of glares thrown in as well. Michio tensed, on his guard, seeing if anyone was going to fight them. Suddenly, three people walked up to them, a boy and two girls. It was obvious that the boy was the leader as he walked in front. He glanced at the Persian, before looking at everyone's pokemon. Beside him was a Houndoom. The two girls, twins, at his side had Umbreon and Espeon.

"Who are you, and what is it that you are here for?" the leader asked, although it was asked in the form of a command. Michio narrowed his eyes at the three, before touching a hand on Sei. He let a message through the Aether Realm.

"Are you three shifters?"

The man startled, as did the two twins. The man narrowed his eyes and walked off, the twin girls following behind him. The man glanced over his shoulders. "Yes we are. Come with us brothers."

((OOC: Yeah, I stole the shifters from Ichiro. :P If you want, I could always delete this post. Which means Nakuzami, Zamorak, and Sky, try not to post in case this ruins the plot. :P))

Harley rolled her eyes back at Anthony. This was ridiculous, she wasn't even that good looking. Or so Harley thought. Being the only other girl, she was probably immune to this kind of crap. Maybe she was hiding an Oddish who was spraying Sweet Scents everywhere under her shirt or inbetween her breasts or something. Harley huffed a little, she felt her neck prickling again as she began to feel frustrated again.

"Good, oh good," Harley sighed a little. She thought they would scream in their faces and take them straight to Arceus to defeat him or something, now that there was a full team of shifters again. That would be fun, on no energy or anthing. "And who cares about Miharu! No one does!" Harley snarled a little under her breath.

Kellyn stared at the Alternates. He couldn't believe what they were saying.
I can't be the evil, am I? he thought. He looked down at his feet, he was as grim as could be. What happened to his pokemon? Were they evil too? Why was Arceus trying to destroy the world he created? All of these thoughts appeared in his head. He looked up at everyone. They were all staring at him with interest in their eyes.

"What happened to my pokemon," he asked, breaking the silence. "Please tell me they stay'd with you, at least Bliss. I could never think of them doing anything this bad." He was surprised at his own pressing tone and it seemed like everyone else was too. He looked away waiting for the answer.

The Alternate Josh turned to Kellyn, a sombre look in his eye. "Kellyn only had Bliss with him, he had no other Pokemon," he said, "Bliss stands by Kellyn's side, like all Catalysts do to their masters, Bliss is as corrupted by Arceus as Kellyn is." He turned back, watching the trail disappear behind the cart.

Anthony got up and sat down beside Kellyn, he had known Kellyn for little over a day, but he was a Shifter, one of them. "Kellyn," Anthony started, "whoever this Alternate Kellyn is, or whatever they did, it was their decision. You are different, you maybe have the same name and same looks, but you are a different person to him." Anthony was being serious, he was positive Kellyn would not betray them, but there was always that little thought there that Anthony constantly dismissed.

They arrived at the sanctum an hour later, the cart falling into blackness as they entered the cave. Miharu continued to direct the Tauros through the underground network which unnerved Anthony a bit. It soon opened up into a massive cavern that was lit with hundreds of floodlights which was a bit blinding when coming out of the darkness. Anthony noticed that everyone but Raike was affected, but thought that was due to the amount of times they had gone in and out.

The cavern sunk deep into the earth and a rim around the outside showed a slow descent to the bottom. Anthony gulped at the depth and the road they were on. It wasn't that he was afraid, just that it was a long way down.

Mathias took the new Shifters back to their base, it looked like a house on the outside, but a trapdoor in the center revealed a cellar that they used often. There was a large table that dominated much of the room, papers, scrolls and quills spread all over it. "Come, grab a chair and sit down, we have much to discuss." Mathias took a seat near the head of the table, a show of superiority and leadership. The twins sat down either side of Mathias. Angelina, the twin with the Espeon took a quick glance at Kris, then looked away, blushing while the other, Angelica with the Umbreon waved a little at Josh.

Clearing his throat, Mathias spoke again, "I have a feeling you people aren't from around here, are you?" he inquired.

They had all followed the man to a small house, but they were lead into a cellar. The leader sat down, the two girls sitting down beside him. "Come, grab a chair and sit down, we have much to discuss," said the leader. Michio glanced around the room. "No thanks, I would rather stand." He made sure to stand near the door, for a quick exit. Although he had his arms to his sides, he was ready to grab his Sai in a second. Sei, as well, was tensed. She was ready to protect Michio from attack at anytime.

Michio noticed that the two girls seemed to look at Josh and Raike fondly. He almost chuckled out loud, but he managed to stop himself although he was quite aware that the amusement would have flashed in his eyes. Although, he felt glad that the two girls didn't seem to be interested in him. That would be awkward to explain that he was actually a girl.

The leader cleared his throat. "I have a feeling you people aren't from around here, are you?"

Michio glanced sharply at the leader. "Before asking us about our life stories, perhaps leader-san would introduce himself first."

The leader blinked in surprise. Mostly everyone in the village was intimidated by him, so he was surprised when these travelers were not. "I am hardly going to ask about your life stories," he stated dryly, "but I guess I can humor you. My name is Mathias."

The twin, looking at Josh, glanced at Michio. "Angelica."

The other twin, looking at Raike, glanced at Michio. "Angelina."

Michio nodded, ignoring the "humor you" part. "My name is Michio, the one with the blondish hair is Kris, the one with blue eyes is Raike, and the last one is Josh."

Mathias leaned forward in his seat. "Now, will you tell me where you guys are from?"

Michio raised an eyebrow. "Is it not obvious? We are from the future," she stated dryly.

Shifting through time...

-----

I was surprised when we met three other shifters in the town. Of course the twin girls had Espeon and Umbreon, the only two pokemon that we had. The man, who was obviously the leader, had a Mightyena. Four Umbreon, two Espeon and a Mightyena. What a ride variety.

As we walked into the room, the man immediately assumed we weren't from around here. Though, it was rather obvious. Everyone introduced themselves and we learned that the man's name was Mathias and the twins were Angelica and Angelina. Miharu, or Michio, introduced me as the blonde one, Raike as the blue eyed one and Josh as the last one. My hair isn't that blonde...is it? I thought, And why is he the blue eyed one? I had hazel eyes, which weren't that far away from blue.

The thing that really surprised me was Miharu's answer to Mathias, "Now, will you tell me where you guys are from?"

She raised an eyebrow, "Is it not obvious? We are from the future." At this I too raised an eyebrow, for a split second thinking she was crazy for saying that. Then I figured she knew what she was doing.

"I hope you don't go telling everyone the truth about us that quickly, Michio." I somewhat exaggerated the last word, as it wouldn't make a difference if they knew she was a girl now. Compared to the future thing, her gender problems weren't a very big deal. Though, it seemed Mathias and the twins didn't pay attention to me, as they were obviously thinking about what Miharu had just said. The twins had a little look of shock on their faces, unlike Mathias, who seemed to be calm.

Michio sighed at Kris's reaction. He had learnt that if you tell the truth with a dry tone or sarcastic tone of voice that many will not believe you, even if it is the truth. But with what Kris just said...it practically guarenteed that they would believe him. "Hmm...seems my dastardly plot has been ruined by Kris. Thanks mate."

He could tell from the twin's faces that although they did not still believe Michio, he could tell that Mathias did after what Kris said.

"You were trying to pull reverse psychology?" questioned Mathais. "Saying one thing in a sarcastic voice and as it is so out of the park, we would not believe it. It would have worked, if it was not for Kris."

Michio nodded, faint approvail in his eyes. "Correct Mathias. Down to the fact that Mathais would not have believed it, if it was not for Kris." He glared at Kris for a few seconds, before dropping the look and sighing.

"So, how were you sent back in time?" asked Mathias. The twins' shocked looked quickly faded, seeing their leader believing in Michio's words. Michio raised an eyebrow at Mathais's question.

"My stupid Gengar sent us back in time," he stated dryly. He was not about to tell that it was Dialga that sent them back in time.

Josh followed as they were led into a cellar, giving no show of his emotions in the slightest, although his thoughts were quite active. He noticed the two twins with an espeon and umbreon look at him and Kris, then look away blushing. "Oh, admirers" he though as the girl with the Umbreon waved at him, he gave a half-hearted wave back and went back to staring at the wall, losing himself in his own thoughts.

Josh listened on, keeping his face as emotionless as possible while Michio, with a little intervention from Kris, revealed they were from the future. He wondered vaguely if he should say anything as Michio told them that her Gengar had sent them back in time, something like what Kris had said to get them to believe something else that was completely crazy. He decided to keep quiet, a thought struck him though, all these strangers were gathered in one place, but Anthony had had to call them all together before they split up, he wondered over it a second before saying anything, "Why are you all gathered in this village?" he asked, keeping his voice even, and hoping the abrupt change of topic would catch them off guard, making it easier to tell if they were lying.

The time traveling Gengar!

-----

I realized Miharu had been trying to pull a little reverse psychology, and I ruined it. Even if I hadn't actually confirmed it, I did have a little bit of a sarcastic tone then, or at least I thought I did, guess not. Though, it would be good for these fellow shifters to know at least a little of the truth. When Miharu had said her Gengar sent us back in time, I wanted to burst out laughing. Instead I just gave a little smirk and nod of the head when the twins looked at me for confirmation.

Then Josh tried to change the subject, "Why are you all gathered in this village?" That thought hadn't occured to me yet, but it was a good point. It would make sense if it was just the twins, as they were born together, but with Mathias too? Something brought them together, and I was also a little curious what that something was.

-Raike didn't really care if these people found out they were from the future, there was a dying pokemon on his back. He was actually feeling a bit frustrated though. We were just arriving in this time and we were already about to make enemies it seemed. Raike cleared his throat, loud enough to draw everybody's attention.-

"Not to interrupt, but I have a pokemon on my back that needs some serious medical care, so I would appreciate it if you guys would stop this semi-argument, and please get my friend here some help. Michio, we are not trying to make enemies, the sarcasm and dry tones aren't needed."

-His own tone was a bit harsher than he had meant it to be, but it was necessary, in his opinion.-

((OOC: I'm taking full control of Mathias, Angelina and Angelica now.))

Angelina got up out of her chair and around to Raike whom had the Persian on his back. "Follow me," she said grabbing his hand and pulling upwards towards the house, "I will take you to the Healer in the village." They exited out the house, Angelina practically dragging Raike by the hand down the street which did warrant a few stares, but Angelina didn't care, she saw herself as above most of the commoners. Many gave Raike dirty looks, "Oh don't mind them," she said happily, "they only feel that something is wrong with the world, they don't know about it like we do." She smiled at Raike as the got to the Healers house.

The old woman stood over the Persian, mixing a bowl of what was considered medicine to dress the wounds and make them heal, "It will be fine, leave now," she said grumpily. Angelina took Raike by the hand and led him into the streets, dropping is hand once they were in public. "Would you like to go for a walk?" she asked him before walking off in the opposite direction to the house.

Mathias glared at Michio, noting the sarcasm that dripped from Michio's mouth like venom, "sarcasm is the lowest for of wit," he said, "a Gengar knows not of time travel, so who sent you here, Celebi or Dialga?" He was starting to get a little angry, but kept his emotions in check. He studied Michio a little more noticing that Michio's facial structure was hardly masculine at all.

Angelica got bored as her sister left, they had many interesting conversations through the Ghost Realm while they were petting their Pokemon, and todays was entirely more interesting. But they always kept the conversations between themselves. With Angelina gone and Mathias talking with the Time Traveler's leader, Angelica decided to talk to the other two boys. She got up from her seat and went over to them, bowing when she reached them. "My sister and I have grown up with Mathias, he was like an older brother to us, always looking out for us. He started shifting a year before we did. He saved us in the Ghost Realm when we were being attacked by The Dark Enemy, so we have been together since...." she thought for a moment, "since a month ago, but we are completely and utterly lost." She bowed her head a bit, becoming a little less happy. It was like the world was resting on their shoulders, and they knew nothing of how to save it.

"So why are you here?" she asked, perking up a bit.

-Raike looked at the girl walking off. He remembered from the introductions, that her name was Angelina. He had flipped off a few people as they gave him dirty looks, although he doubted they knew what he meant. He looked back at the healers place, then at the hut they had first gone into, then back at the girl, all with his good left blue eye, as his other red one was covered with a piece of his jacket tied around his head like a headband. He finally shrugged, hoping that Raven wouldn't claw his eyes out when he returned. He then began to walk off behind the girl, speeding until he had caught up to her. He guessed he should ask some questions, maybe the answers would help him in his world.-

"Hey, uh Angelina? How old are you? And what happened here?... Why are you taking me for a walk?"

Angelina chuckled to herself as the future boy followed her. "Yes, it is Angelina. I am 18 if it matters. I'm taking you for a walk because I need some fresh air, Mathias hasn't let us out his sight in ages!" Angelina stressed the last word, "he doesn't want us to get hurt, so he keeps us nearby." she said, voice dropping a bit. "What happened here? Its always been like this; since we were born. But these people are more angry lately than before. Mathias says it is the cloud in the Ghost Realm." She spun around once in the middle of the street as she walked. "So..." she paused, "how old are you?" she said poking him in the chest.

She took another step forward before spinning around to look at him, "Why do you have that silly thing wrapped over your eye?" she took a step forward, reaching out to take it off. "It must make things hard to see!"

Michio shrugged. "One who thinks that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit is usually correct. However, I could possibly outwit Mathias quite easily if I tried." Michio stared into Mathias's eyes, reading into his barely shown emotions. Anger at her sarcasm, annoyance due to saying that her Gengar was the one who brought them back into time, although Nightmare had brought her and himself back in time before. "Plus, who said that it is not possible that a Gengar could send one back in time? My Gengar did that, the bloody bastard." He scowled. Nightmare just had to touch the freaking orb. He just had too. "Does it really matter that Mathias has to know of who sent us here? All Mathias needs to know is that we are here now and how we are supposed to solve this...cloud problem."

Usually Dialga does not work on his own, especially if it has something to do with sending humans or pokemon back in time. The only time he could do that without fear of getting punished by Arceus is when he is being attacked and even then he might still get punished. Which means that Arceus is the one to order Dialga to send us back in time. Also, when Dialga is there, Palkia usually follows. Since Palkia never showed up, I cannot help but feel that the other half of the group was transported by Palkia to an alternate dimension. If the reason that we were here is because we needed to help with the cloud...then most likely, as a warning as to what might happen if we failed, Anthony, Harley, and Kellyn were sent to a place where they had failed. This was complicated already even when we were just going to the Distortion World. Bloody Arceus; now I cannot help but be glad that I have never met him.

-Raike acted on instinct, stepping back and her hand, but he loosened his grip one he came back to his senses. He sighed, readjusting the makeshift bandanna that covered his eye before answering.-

"Sorry about that...but no, I can't take this off... not yet at least. It's kinda freaky. And to think this happened only because of this stupid cloud...whatever. The Ghost Realm huh? We call it the Aether Realm... weird.Anyway, I guess you should know I'm 20, and if you didn't hear, my name is Raike. Mathias sounds like a downer. I'd hate it if someone kept me cramped up in some hut for who knows how long. By the way, how long is it gonna take for that Persian to heal? It didn't look so good before..."

Mathias glared at Michio, "If we are to work together, we need to trust each other," he said putting emphasis on the word 'trust', "and right now I don't trust you, so unless you start being open and trusting with me, we will get no where except for pointless bickering." Mathias was about ready to yell, but he kept his emotions and body calm and collected, letting no signs off. This Michio was frustrating to say the least.

"Don't worry," Angelina smiled, "the medicine lady will take good care of it and restore it to full health." She continued to walk down the street, getting closer to the edge of town while she talked to Raike. "So, Raike, what is the future like?" she asked quizzically. She had always been fascinated by new things that came along. They had walked a fair bit now, they were on the other side of town, far from Mathias' house, Angelina was feeling great being away from Mathias and the house.

Two men stepped up from behind the two. "Gengar, Hypnosis" he whispered to his Pokemon and both Angelina and Raike collapsed as did their Catalysts. The man with the Gengar took Raike while his accomplice took Angelina and his Cofagrigus took her Espeon. No one saw them being taken, no one would have cared, so the two men took their captives away.

Angelina awoke into a dark, dank cell. She felt around for her Espeon, Light, but he was no where in the cell. She was confused, she had only just been walking down the street with Raike, talking to him, then.... nothing! She pulled herself over to a corner, huddling up with her arms around her knees. She slowly rocked back and forth, muttering to herself. She was scared and afraid, and she was not coping very well.

The cart stopped when it reached the bottom and Anthony released a huge sigh of relief, he was glad that they hadn't reached the bottom another way. He jumped out of the back of the cart, following Kellyn, Harley and Kris, Josh and Raike following behind him which made it fell as if they were prisoners. Miharu joined them from the front of the cart, motioning for them to follow her.

Raike ran up to walk beside Miharu and he heard a little bit of the question he asked, "...to see her?" Miharu merely nodded her head and Raike dropped back a bit. He didn't seem so happy anymore.

They carried on, following Miharu, Anthony noticing the few people that were here kept well out of sight of them, whispering to each other and giving stares as they walked past. They walked to the end of the corridor, reaching a big door, one that looked like it was there to keep something inside from getting out. Miharu swung the door open with ease and they all walked through into a small rock walled room. Miharu stepped forward and through the rock wall in front of them; then did Anthony realize it was an illusion. He stepped through the wall when it was his turn, appearing on a platform drifting in midair. The rock wall wasn't an illusion, it was a portal to the Distortion World.

"Hello, my children," a disembodied voice echoed, "what brings you to my Realm?" Anthony gasped in surprise as Giratina appeared before the Platform in its Origin Form; it was massive.

"We bring you...presents," Miharu said, gesturing to Anthony, Harley and Kellyn. "The arrived a few minutes ago, we picked them up in the wastelands," she spoke confidently to Giratina, as if she was on the same par with it. "Their leader says that they are from and Alternate World." she gestured to Anthony.

Giratina spoke, "May I please have a look in each of your minds to confirm this?" she asked, "I will be gentle."

Anthony stepped foward. "Feel free." Giratina extended one of its 'arms' and touched Anthony's forehead. He winced as a bit of pain shot through his body, but then relaxed as he felt Giratina probe his mind.

"It took mere seconds and Giratina looked at Harley and Kellyn, "May I?" she asked extending two arms.
