Dedenne = Denki (electricity) + Antenne (antenna).

Still don't know how to say it properly though, so I'm calling it "deh-den" until I hear the official pronunciation.

It actually is the English name. The Pikaclones tend to retain their Japanese names or have the name look close to the Japanese name. Emonga became Emolga in English because of the word "mong" which is apparently offensive to people with Down Syndrome.

I like Aggron too, but as far as Rock types go, I prefer Rhydon and Tyranitar.

As for Steel types, I prefer Ferrothorn, Lucario, Metagross, and Magnezone.
