In the Fourth Generation games, during your pursuit of becoming Champion, you encounter your last 4 obstacles. These four are master trainers known as the Elite Four, serving as your final challenge before the Champion themselves. These are: Aaron, the Bug type master of the Elite Four, Bertha, oldest of the four, wise and a formidable Ground type user, Flint, the hot-headed Fire type expert, and Lucian, calm and collected, utilising the Psychic type.

So, which one of the E4 was your favourite? What do you like about them? Which one/s do you dislike? Why? Feel free to discuss~ :)

Oh, and be sure to share some experiences!

Flint was always my favourite. He just seemed like someone I would get along with and fire types are pretty cool metaphorically so ya. Also you've gotta admire that afro, you know? I admire the guy. :p

Personally I thought Bertha and Lucian were a bit boring in general. Bertha was nice and all but personality-wise was just boring. Lucian just rubbed off on me in the wrong way, he sort of had this snobby appearance. A bit like a Gary that just beat you in a battle. But I could be wrong, so you know, feel free to disagree or agree. Aaron's a good E4. A tad easy but that sky drop was definitely something. What I do like about Sinnoh's E4 in general though are their strange appearances. Green, purple, red hair, it's nice and colourful.

The battles with the E4 were quite easy the first time around. Come second time though it was actually harder since they had higher levels and overall better strategy (more switching etc.) I remember only getting up to Flint in the rematches so yeah it was pretty tough. XD

I like Flint the most out of all of the Elite 4, if we're not counting Cynthia. His afro reminds me of Miror B a little bit, which is probably one of my favorite characters in the Pokemon games. Fire is also my favorite type and that's what he specializes in! Seeing him in Sunyshore City was also something very odd, since I didn't even know who this dashingly handsome person was. I think I'm dragging this on, so I'll just move on.

I wasn't very fond of the other Elite 4 members to be honest. They were just all so boring. They were very weak in my opinion, even Flint was, please don't hate me Flint! I was able to go through all of the Elite 4 in Pokemon Pearl with Pokemon about 10 levels under theirs, and I still got through them. Cynthia just ruined me though, too powerful. :P

I liked Sinnoh's elite four. I was ecstatic that they finally gave Bug types some relevance with Aaron. Granted, if you had a mediocre fire type Pokemon you could obliterate his team in seconds, but it was cool to see some Bug recognition. Bertha was rather dull as a personality, and kind of your basic wise grandmother type. Nothing new to see there; but I definitely liked Flint's design and personality. He almost popped off the screen, his look was so unique and eye-catching. Not an easy team to defeat either, although it didn't feel right for him to not have a mono-fire team. What were Drifblim, Steelix and Lopunny doing in his lineup? I had a lot of trouble with Lucian. Alakazam nearly sweeped me, and since my Infernape had already fainted, Bronzong was a chore to take out.

Overall, no complaints. They could have been a little more creative with Bertha, but otherwise, a solid elite four. :]

Bertha reminded me a lot of Agatha. Honestly, none of the Elite Four really stood out to me, but I was glad that they gave Fire and Bug types spots in the top four. I also was really glad that Lucian was there, since Psychic types can be real pains, especially since they are last and you might have run out of medicine by then. These four were a solid bunch.

I agree with the above; Bertha does have a lot of resemblance to Agatha. Since they're both members of Elite Four in their respective region, I'm going to say they might have some connection of sorts and be good friends. Lucian's in a similar situation as Bertha; in terms of looks, him and Will are a lot alike. Anyhow, my favorite Elite Four from Sinnoh would probably have to be Flint; to me, he was the most challenging. When I'd first faced him, I had to go through plenty of defeats before beating him. :P

Flint was definitely my fave, what with that afro and appearance of his. And who could forget his romantic relationship with Volkner? (I kid.) I also sort of liked that his DP team only consisted of two Fire types (given, those were the only final Fire evos. available in DP)--it made him slightly more challenging than the rest. I also like Lucian mostly for his design and typing. As for the other two, I don't hate them, but I don't like them either. Aaron's ninja-esque entrance in Plat. was pretty cool, though XD

I like Flint, mainly because of his Houndoom and Magmortar. Basically all of their AI difficulties are the same, but his movesets give him a better variety.
