"Ninth?" Satoru echoed in slight confusion at Raito's remark. The boy had been quite positive that they were only eight, but now that he thought about it...hadn't he read something about that in one of those newspapers Yoru had faithfully snatched for him? Satoru shook his head, by the looks of it he really should have been paying more attention to his surroundings, not that it was easy in the dark, especially after Twilight's brief burst of illumination had effectively taken his night eyes. Still, at least it had affirmed that the girl in front of them was friendly, and he was, at the very least, relieved not to have to hold his hand at the ready over the pokéballs. A sulking Espeon, a sleeping Victreebel, and an overly affectionate Duskull weren't exactly the most intimidating selection of pokémon out there.

"Looks like we're on the same side, then." Satoru remarked at last, "I'm Satoru Hikari, pleased to meet you." he extended a hand towards the girl, hoping that the Arcanine next to her wouldn't seize on the opportunity to bite it off, "As for the others..." he paused to think about it, his thoughts rapidly treathening to slide into the veritable ocean of inconsequential musings which mostly occupied his head, but, fortunately enough, managing to stay focused, "Well, we all went towards the river, so I guess we'll run into them?" he cast a sideward glance at Raito for reassurance. After all, the older boy always seemed to have an answer ready, regardless of the situation, "Unless they're further down stream in which case..." the boy frowned slightly, "Well, I guess we're bound to find them eventually." he concluded, his usual optimistic outlook returning.

{Shiny one!} Chichiro trilled as she noticed that Argent was around once again, quickly hopping up to the Skarmory and nuzzling the steel type affectionately, {One that is shiny! Beautiful you are, what you are is aesthetically pleasing!} the Altaria seemed to achieve a whole new level of hyperness at the complicated term in the end, remaining quite oblivious to whatever the Skarmory's response was.

OOC: Well, I shall take control of Alana's character briefly for this post. ^-^ I have finally gotten prepared to do it!

Note: Alana, if I make Kyra do anything out of character in your opinion, please let me know and I shall edit away! I am not afraid to correct a mistake. ^-^

Aisling (& Kyra)
---------------------

Once Aisling finally managed to get herself onto the Dragonair's back, the two girls were ready to take off. Despite her placidness, Aisling was feeling a bit odd having no pokemon out. She usually had at least Irikail or Faafi out. Thankfully, she was comforted in the fact that Kyra hadn't any pokemon out either. She probably felt lonely without them too.

Kyra looked up at the Dragonair. "I think we're ready to get going now, Cyst," Kyra said to the pokemon.

So soon they were going through the forest, the minimal amount of light that had come from wild pokemon and other sources quickly fading away to the darker, thicker inner forest. Trees whipped by them as Cyst made her way through the area. Aisling was having fun watching the dark objects zoom by her. She could see other objects moving about and hear them too; wild pokemon or the others.

"Wow... this is fun!" she said, smiling softy, "I hope the others are having fun too."

Kyra had to raise her voice a little over the sound of movement created by Cyst, "I hope they're safe too." It was always a gamble, moving around. You could never be sure about what was lying in wait on the other side. The river would be better once they got there, at least they would be nearly impossible to track on it.

Aisling frowned as she looked out to a distant light. It looked like the kind of light that what-his-face's pokemon thing made. "Hey hold up!" Aisling said in her soft, slow voice. Cyst slowed for a moment, wondering what was wrong.

"Look there! It's... um... that boy with, um, the glittery eyes," she said, her mind not coming up with a name. She had such trouble with those things. She did remember the glittery silver parts of his eyes though. Aisling usually remembered things like that.

"Raito...," Kyra said, now looking confused herself, "But why has he stopped? Let's take a look Cyst; we have to make sure he's not in any trouble."

The Dragonair changed directions, and so they made their way towards Raito's light. Aisling was the carefree sort, so she didn't even think of the kinds of danger that Raito or any of the others could be in. After a few moments of going through trees, they came to what appeared to be Raito, Satoru, and a girl, standing around each other engaged in some sort of conversation.

Aisling was attracted not the the others, but to the blinking lights of the Chinchou in the river. Once Chichiro had left the water, they had taken a chance to come back. "Ooh... wow!" she mumbled, but something in her brain told her to try and forget the lights right now. There were more important things. She sadly peeled herself away from the blinking pokemon and looked before her.

Kyra had heard the girl introduce herself and Satoru mention them as they had pulled up. "Did I hear you right," she said to the girl, "You are the ninth? I'm glad you found us."

"Hi!" Aisling said with a soft smile, "My name's Aisling! Aisling... um, Aheron! Heh, almost forgot again." Luckily it was still shadowy even with the Umbreon's light, and it could cover up Aisling's now pink cheeks. It was okay when she forgot other names, but sometimes a feeling of shame would creep up when she forgot her own.

Raito nodded affirmatively in response to Satoru's glance, waiting until the other trainer finished speaking to reply, "All of us agreed to meet at the river. This is probably the portion of riverbank closest to the camp, so it's the most likely location for all of us to arrive." Turning toward Kumori, he then raised his hand in some combination of a wave and a shrug. "So, no worries. By the way, my name's Raito. A pleasure to meet you and your Arcanine, Kumori." Lowering his hand, Raito glanced to one side as Kyra and Aisling emerged from the forest. "Good timing," he commented.

Meanwhile, by the riverbank, a low hiss echoed through Argent's metallic throat--only its respect for a comrade's Pokemon preventing it from attacking this creature that now nuzzled it with such a lack of concern. Sensing that the warning hiss was having no effect, the Skarmory's quick temper began to spark. But, not wanting to attack an ally unnecessarily, Argent decided that escape would be better than a fight, however undignified such a course might be. At the first flap of the steel-type's wings, Raito swiftly whirled about toward his Pokemon. With a single motion of his hand, the trainer indicated that the Skarmory should remain on the ground. A chase through the sky was a little more than unneeded at the moment. Then, after a moment of judging his Pokemon's predicament, Raito turned toward Satoru.

"Um . . . Once you said your Altaria liked shiny objects, right?" Suddenly, Raito was starkly and awkwardly aware of the various pieces of metal he wore. "She won't be too disappointed if I make Argent return, will she?"

OOC: Wow, okay. I guess I'll have to switch to 3rd person, eh? I haven't done that in awhile, but it's odd to be the only one RPing in first person. *laughs* So, here we go!

BIC: Kumori smiled softly at all the newcomers, shaking the hand offered to her. "Kyra, Raito, Satoru, and Aisling," she whispered. She smiled again. "And yes, I am the ninth."

She paused, of course, she couldn't expect them to believe her immediatly. With a smile, she pulled down the neck of her kimono a bit, revealing her collarbone. The five-pointed scar shone with the strange white light for a moment, only long enough for them to see before she snapped the kimono back up.

"I am the ninth fragment bearer. Again, you have my apologies for taking so long to find you." The usual soft smile fell from her face. "I am afraid to say that bounty hunters killed my mother, father, and little brother in their search for me and I took the news poorly. I spent a lot of time searching out the bounty hunters for revenge, and recently, have given up the search and came for you."

She smiled again. "But my past isn't a wonderful topic for conversation," she laughed. "Should we set up camp? Across the river there's a nice grove of trees where we could get a small fire set up and get something to eat. You all look pretty hungry."

Blaze yawned at the boy who seemed very nervous around him. To make up for his previous growling, he gave Satoru a small nuzzle before returning protectivly to Kumori's side.

OOC: =O I RP in first person...I think...Well either way, I hate RPing in third, so, I usually RP in first. >.< My posts all seem to suck! Arrrguuuu!!!

IC: Trin shook the sting from the side of it's head as I looked over my shoulder. I was facing downstream the river, and turned Trin around to go upstream, as I stopped him right before the group of people. I hadn't exactly been all too far, but I didn't want to be yelling at them to catch their attention. Trin walked in place, disliking the cold mud underneath his feet that he was slowly sinking into due to his and my weight combined.

"We're running from the hunters, not finding camp." I said, staring at the new girl for a minute, before rubbing the tips of my fingers together, a light swishing sound catching Cyst's attention as Cyst nodded quickly and spun a circle in the air to straighten her long coiling body out for passengers.

<'All aboard!'> Cyst trilled, as I hopped from Trin to Cyst, without having to hit the muddy ground. Returning Trin to his pokeball, I turned to Kyra and Aisling, saying, "Last I remember, neither of you need a ride in the water." I rubbed my fingers together again and floating over to the rushing river, Cyst paused for a moment and turned to look at the jumble of trainers for a moment, floating silently over the river.

<'Don't fall too far behind now, you hear?'> Cyst said, before shooting down the river, avoiding underbrush and trees by heading directly over the middle of the river.

OOC: Might as well find some way for my split-up group to get to the riverbank...

In the sky

Suneora and most of her Pokemon found the river they were supposed to meet at immediately. However, what they could not see was where along the river they were supposed to meet the others--nobody could see any people from as high up as they were. In fact, all they could see was forest, river, and some hills that were off in the distance.

<"How about I go down there and find them,"> Suthemai suggested, <"and when I do, I'll show you where we are?">
"No good," Suneora commented. "I am fine by to be seen, but other people maybe not."
<"Then let's just follow the river!"> Kaleni suggested.
<"Divine creators have assigned me the finest tools needed to ease our venture,"> Su-Kanaori added. <"Of tree and that which my name came from, our capital shall arise.">
"You want to by the order of Hidden Power change a tree into a boat?" Suneora clarified. Su-Kanaori blinked slowly, which in its case meant yes.
"Bea takai rui koyoki, teth lai sao tea-bi kare-me," Suneora announced. Travel on the river till they catch sight of the other Fragment holders.

So the group descended sharply, almost in free fall, till they landed on the riverbank--but this part of the river was empty, so it couldn't have been the meeting place. As Suneora dismounted Kaleni, Suthemai rested against a tree, stretching her slightly sore wings. Su-Kanaori found a fallen tree, which it used its Hidden Power on. The six orbs that appeared as a result of this glowed and morphed into what looked like several leaves, which shrouded the log. Sureana used her Psychic attack to lift the log up, so the "leaves" could completely surround it. As they did so, the log began to change shape. This happened for a few more moments until the leaf-thingies disappeared, causing the ex-log to fall with a light thud on the grass. But it wasn't a log anymore: its shape resembled a boat.

With the same powers as before, Sureana threw the boat into the water, holding it still in the river current. Suneora nodded to the Unown and the Haunter, thanking them for a job well done, then got into the boat with Suthemai, who was too tired to fly. Also, Kaleni slid into the water, a little surprised at how cold it was but not too bothered by it. And finally, Su-Kanaori got into the boat, resting atop Suneora's head, and Sureana grabbed the back of the boat for support and steering. After Kaleni moved to the front of the boat and started to follow the river, Sureana let the boat move as well. Occasionally she gave the boat a little push or pull so that it would catch up with Kaleni.

Some parts of the river were still, and others had a bit of a current, but there were no waterfalls or rapids, quite thankfully. But Suneora could remember seeing a waterfall from high above; would they reach it before the meeting spot? Still, nobody protested--Suthemai sat calmly in Suneora's lap, Su-Kanaori kept quiet, Kalena was doing well and didn't seem to be getting tired or cold, and Sureana was doing a great job managing the boat.

Until all of a sudden...
"Nair!" Kaleni called as a warning. The current was speeding up, and up ahead, the river seemed to end, after which there was only air... When Kaleni reached this point, she jumped out of the water and switched to flying. But instead of flying up, she flew down, till the rest of the group couldn't see her.
"Haunter..." Sureana let go of the boat and floated above it. By that time the boat had reached the end of the disappearing river, but Sureana once again lifted the boat telekinetically. Like Kaleni, they were carried down, for behind them was the waterfall Suneora had seen earlier.

But it was the sight ahead of them that was even better: a group of people and Pokemon stood on the left bank of the river, and Suneora recognized the familiar faces of Satoru, Aisling, Kyra, and Raito. So therefore, Sureana put the boat down into the calmer yet still flowing river, guiding it towards the bank. When it was close enough, Suneora stepped onto a rock that sat right on the edge of the river, carrying Suthemai with her. Sureana and Su-Kanaori followed her, and Kaleni landed next to them--she had refused to go back into the chilly water before landing.

<"Uh...?"> Sureana asked the rest of the crowd--she was pointing at a girl she didn't recognize. <"Who is this?">
Suneora looked in the direction Sureana was pointing--sure enough, there was a fifth person that had apparently not been at the camp...
<"Psst, Suneora!"> Su-Kanaori said in a slightly worried tone. <"It seems that our psychic friend and the other master of darkness have not yet completed their traveling.">
"You mean Runaito and Asachiwa?" Suneora clarified, looking around for any sign of a Medicham and a Persian. Yes... where are they?
"Ah, Sureana!" Suneora called--her Haunter was about to venture back into the forest. "Where are you going?"
<"To find Runaito and Asachiwa--to see if they are OK."> After saying this, Sureana disappeared into the trees, passing right through some of them as she searched.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: Suneora's other two Pokemon will come eventually, and they'll probably be the last ones to arrive... Therefore, once all the people arrive, we can leave.
OOC: Light_Azumarill that post was fine. ^_^
IC: Kyra took a Pokeball from her waste and tossed it lightly into the water. There was a flash then the Pokeball returned to her. A moment later Yulo poked his furry white head out of the water. He grinned at her and swam easily to the bank. "I'm glad you managed to find us before we started down the river, Kumori. You may never have caught us if you hadn't." She looked around for a moment then said, "Some one isn't here yet." She looked around again, checking everyone off in her mind. Finally she said, "Cassie hasn't arrived. Everyone else is here. I hope nothing's happened to her."
Yulo looked at her and spoke in a low deep voice, 'I wouldn't worry, this forest looks very complex, it is very possible she simply got a little turned around. She'll arrive shortly."
Kyra nodded but she still felt uneasy. Now that they were at the river she wanted to get moving. They were stuck again and she didn't like it. She wasn't impatient, well, maybe she was a little, but she really wanted to put distance between them and the hunters before they discovered that the information Raito had given them was false, assuming they hadn't already of course.
'Relax,' said Yulo soothingly, 'we'll be on our way soon enough. You'll see.' Kyra nodded again and turned her attention to the conversation around her.
Kumori nodded, a little hurt at the snap from one of the girls who had just arrived. Managing to look unperturbed at least, she smiled at Kyra.
"Thank you," was all she had time to say.
Kumori quickly called Ceru out of his Pokeball. The Garydos stretched and flicked his tail a bit. She smiled at her friend, though the smile was strained.
"I hate rivers," she whispered to herself and climbed up onto Ceru, holding him by the bones coming out of his head. "I really hate rivers..."
OOC: Thanks Alana! I tried my best.
Aisling
----------------
As Kirux showed up, Aisling smiled at the girl, about to say a thanks for letting she and Kyra use Dragonair. Kirux had other plans though, and hurriedly took Cyst to ride out on the water, stating quite bluntly that neither of them needed her pokemon anymore.
"That's true!" Aisling said with a smile, "I've got Irika... oh, she left. I'd better talk louder then. DON'T WORRY! I'VE GOT IRIKAIL!" She waved to the girl as she dissapeared down the river.
Aisling turned around to see that Kyra was now talking to the newest member of the group. She was happy to see that the new girl had a pokemon to ride, and what a pokemon! So many of this group had such awesome pokemon-- Gyrados, Dragonair, a number of Umbreon, Starmie too. All Aisling had was a Slowking, Numel, Weezing and Farfetch'd. Compared to the others', hers were rookies. This didn't mean she didn't like her pokemon, on the contrary she loved them like her family, but it was a little intimidating. Once in a while she would notice these things, but luckily for her she was easily distracted and so she would no doubt forget about it soon.
"Come on out Irikail," she said, tossing a pokeball to the ground. The prideful Slowking appeared in a flash of light, and looked up at Aisling.
{Is it river time?} he asked, then suddenly began to look suspicious, {Or did you stop to look at something?}
"Nope! It's the honest-to-goodness river!" Aisling replied with a smile.
{Well then let's go. Standing around here is making me nervous,} the Slowking said, eyeing the new girl and her Gyrados. It was obvious what was making him nervous.
Aisling nodded and then put her serious face on, which didn't really ever look serious at all. It was more of the kind of face a little kid does when attempting to look like a serious adult. "Now we've gotta be careful Irikail! Know why?" she said to him.
The Slowking's face seemed become rather skeptic that his trainer knew much about anything. He sighed, {Oh... why?}
"Because there's all sorts of dangers in the river, that's why!" she said, her voice getting lower, her body leaning in on the crowned pokemon.
The Slowking was actually intrigued. Could it be that Aisling had been thinking of hidden rocks under the surface of the water, dangerous undertows, fast and unpredictable currents, and rapids that could sink a Blastoise?
"Dangers like the mysterious Wavouria!" Aisling finally got out, pausing for dramatic effect. Irikail almost fell over.
{The what?! What nonsense is this?!} he spat, regretting ever thinking that she was actually concerned for a real cause.
"The river demon pokemon-- Wavouria! Some say that it was born on the day the sun went away and so is pure darkness.... There's stories of how it likes to take the lives of travelers while they float down the river. It waits for them to pass over it, and then spits a toxic ray of bubbles at them to stun them!" she said, putting her hands together, "It's terrible."
{No, it's fake. False. A dumb story. Not to mention, there's no such thing as a ray of bubbles. Rays are light, not bubbles. Let's just go before the hunters catch us,} he said in an annoyed tone. With that he hopped in the water and called to her to get in.
"Right Irikail! Lemme say goodbye in case Wavouria gets us!" Aisling called to him. She turned around and looked at the remaining people. She turned to Raito. "Bye, um, oh yeah-- Raito; good luck on the river!" she said with a smile. She really had to work on names.
Then she turned to Kyra. "Bye Kyra, have a safe trip. Don't wait too long for the four others," she warned, sensing the unrest in the poor girl. She was never good at math.
Then she turned to Satoru. "See ya' Satomu... no... Satiro... no... Satoru!" she paused as she noticed Chichiro with the pipe cleaner in her beak, "Aw, she's cute with that pipe cleaner. Anyway watch out for the Wavouria."
Then she turned to Suneora. "See ya' too Suneo- Suneo- Suneo- Suneor--."
{For goodness' sake! Hurry it up Aisling; I'm waiting!} Irikail called impatiently, {Your friends will appreciate it too!}
"Suneora! Have a safe trip and remember, Wavouria hates light," the girl finished, nodding benevolently at all of her friends. Aisling then slowly walked over to the water's edge and got in, her calm demeanor not even disturbed by the cold liquid now surrounding her.
Irikail huffed to himself, then positioned himself in front of his trainer so that she could hold on. {Here we go. Pfft... Wavouria,} he said, mumbling the last part with his head shaking. With that his eyes glowed a light blue and he kicked off, floating down the river slightly to the right. With his psychic abilities, he could easily detect rocks and debris in the water and on the bottom. What he had to be careful of was currents. He wasn't a huge pokemon like Dragonair, but he was quite bulky.
Aisling clung to the Slowking's red and white collar, and managed to free a hand to wave to the others as she and Irikail dissappeared down the dark river.
OOC: Gah, I haven't been able to get on PC in ages. There's always some kind of problem these days.
IC: Kyra sighed as she took a final look around the forest. Still no sign of Cassie. Should she go look for her? It would be a risk, on she didn't want to have to take. Perhaps they should just get going. Cassie knew where they were going, she'd be able to find them easily.
"Let's get moving. The more we dawdle the higher our chances of being found."
Yulo stared at her and said, 'You are far too restless.'
"Easy for you to say," Kyra replied in whisper so only her Pokemon could here her. She slipped onto her Pokemon's back and gripped his slick fur loosely. She wouldn't leave until everyone else was in the water, but she wanted everyone to hurry up. She was usually a pretty patient person but she was oddly edgy. The encounter with the hunters made her want to keep moving.
OOC: I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just leaving Cassie behind but the RP can only survive on conversation for so long. Also, I'd like one member of the group to be captured a little later on. Any volunteers? :P
OOC: I'm sure with Kirux's attitude of just going on without everybody else, it'd be easy for her to get caught, so you can count me as a volunteer.
IC: Cyst winded forward, pausing every now and then for me to take some time to dry off from the splash and spray of the river, and also to look back at where the others' were, giving them time to catch up to us. I hated waiting, because it gave hunters more time to find us. I looked up at the black sky, wondering; would it be day right now? Or, would it be just like it is now? Night time? My mother had always told me stories about light, and the sun. But I'd never believed in them, because she was definetely not old enough to remember. I didn't believe the sun had existed at all.
But wasn't that why I was here right now? As Cyst waited, well above the vapor of the river so I wouldn't get wet, wasn't that why I was running for my life? With a bunch of other people who constantly weighed and slowed me down? I had everything I needed. I could cook well enough that it was edible, and it wasn't like I didn't have the ability to gather firewood and start a fire- especially since I had Blair on my team. Cyst's body coiled around me, about three inches away from the beginning of a squeezing-to-death process.
It was a defensive position Cyst took when she felt nervous for me. They were probably catching up- the hunters that is. Who wouldn't have noticed that there was nothing where they were headed? If they'd tracked us this far already, they would notice lack of foot prints, disturbed bushes and pathways. Cyst loosened up, but her tense nervous premonition seemed to be transferred into me, as my muscles tightened. I clutched the smooth slippery blue scales quietly, and Cyst took one glance at me, and stopped waiting.
I felt like I was a sitting duck, when I wasn't doing anything but waiting. Especially during a chase. Like an unused mannequin, or rag doll. It made me feel like the hunters were right behind me.
OOC: Good thing someone volunteered... I'd volunteer if I played a different character (one I frequently use has terrible luck), but Suneora is different... (Then again, in a fanfic I wrote, Suneora gets captured by an evil organization, and loses all her Pokemon except Su-Kanaori. So since she has experience with being captured, I'll volunteer too. Now who will it be--the rash girl on the Dragonair, or the alien that doesn't use Pokeballs...?)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next to the river

A couple of people had already set off onto the river. Suneora waited on the bank until Kaleni felt fit enough to cross the river.
With all this talk about water demons, Kaleni thought as she watched the other Dragonair floating across the river, I'm surprised Cyst decided to swim rather than fly across.
Then the Dragonair spoke to her trainer. <"Suneora? Why don't we fly across the river rather than swim? That water is freezing!">
Suneora looked at her other Pokemon before replying. "That will not be a problem, because Suthemai and Su-Kanaori also can fly, but then the other three..." She thought about her Haunter, Persian, and Medicham that were still out there.
<"Sureana and Asachiwa both know psychic attacks,"> Kaleni suggested. <"They can use their psychic attacks to...">
"If they do that," Suneora interrupted, "they glow, and the Hunters may see them. Maybe we must wait for them."
<"I have an idea..."> This voice was Suthemai. <"Why don't we cross now? When the other three get here, Kaleni, you can go back across the river to help Runaito and Asachiwa across.">
<"That service will not only benefit those closest to you,"> Su-Kanaori added.
"Da tabai," Suneora commented, agreeing with Su-Kanaori's suggestion. "Others can cross on Kaleni. You will do that, right Kaleni?"
<"I suppose I will,"> Kaleni replied. <"And remember, verbs come before the subject in a question, and you don't need to add 'right' afterward.">

And with that, Suneora mounted Kaleni, who rose into the air. Then the two started to skim over the river, Suthemai and Su-Kanaori trailing behind.

In the forest

Runaito was running through the forest, carrying Asachiwa on top of her. But now she was running a bit slower than before, heavily panting, and her muscles were becoming sore. On top of all that, her feet were hurting as well--especially after stepping on some thorns. Then, all of a sudden, Runaito tripped on a tree root and fell over. Asachiwa rolled off the tired Persian afterward.
<"Are you all right?"> Asachiwa asked Runaito. All Runaito did was move her head slightly in response (she was too out of breath to speak).
<"Was that a yes or a no?"> Asachiwa asked again.
<"I can't... feel my paws..."> Runaito grunted.
<"Let me see..."> Asachiwa then picked up one of Runaito's paws, inspecting it. She could feel a throbbing pulse in the paw, and something was sticking out of it from the side, causing a little bleeding as well.
"Nyaaarrr..." Runaito grumbled as Asachiwa pulled the thorn out of her foot. <"Not... helping...">
"Medi-cham..." Asachiwa mumbled as she took a closer look at the thorn. <"I can't see what sort of plant this is from, but judging by your numbness, it may have been poisonous...">
<"Yeah, that makes me feel better,"> Runaito moaned sarcastically.
<"Maybe you shouldn't run anymore,"> Asachiwa suggested.
<"Maybe I shouldn't even walk,"> Runaito grunted.
<"Hmmm, if only we had some medicine..."> Asachiwa muttered.
<"Or any sort of help,"> Runaito complained. <"If it is poison, how long will it be before I die? Now I can't feel most of my legs...">
<"Wait, I have an idea,"> Asachiwa offered. I know Suneora doesn't want me using any psychic attacks, but in case of an emergency...
So Asachiwa grabbed onto Runaito, focused for a while, then jumped into the air, using her telekinetic powers to keep them aloft.

<"Runaito! Asachiwa! Where are you...?"> Sureana called while floating through the forest and looking all around. Fifteen minutes had already passed without any sign of a Medicham and Persian running through the forest. No sounds of branches snapping, no growls or Medicham voices, nothing. But she did hear something eventually--the chirping of a Swablu in a nearby tree. This tree was right at the edge of a small clearing, where a giant tree root stood. Beside the root, a patch of grass was uprooted, and to Sureana's surprise, there was a little blood on the grass.
"Haunter?" Sureana was confused at this sight.
<"Is anything the matter?"> called the Swablu from the tree.
<"Why is there blood on the grass?"> Sureana asked the little bird. <"Is it yours or... did someone pass through here?">
<"Yes, someone did,"> Swablu responded, <"but I was too scared to approach them... The Persian especially looked scary, even if it was hurt.">
<"Wait... the Persian?"> Sureana clarified. <"Was there a Medicham as well?">
<"Yes,"> Swablu replied, <"a Medicham was riding on the Persian. Then the Persian tripped on this tree root and they fell over. The Persian didn't look to well--its feet were bleeding, and it complained of numbness...">
<"Hmm..."> Sureana immediately knew that Runaito and Asachiwa had passed through here. <"But where are they now?">
<"The Medicham picked up the Persian and flew away,"> Swablu answered, pointing its wing to the right, <"that way.">
<"Thanks,"> Sureana said to the Swablu as she started to float away. <"You see, those two are friends of mine.">
"Blu blu!" Swablu waved as Sureana disappeared over the trees.

<"Look, the river!"> Asachiwa noticed as she floated over the trees with Runaito still in her arms. <"We're getting close!">
<"Boo!"> said a voice behind them. Instinctively, Asachiwa turned around.
<"Sureana!"> Asachiwa exclaimed. <"What are you doing here?">
<"I went to find you,"> Sureana replied. <"Hey, my telekinetic glow is dimmer than yours--why don't you let me carry Runaito instead?">
Asachiwa remembered when Sureana lifted the boat carrying Suneora and Suthemai down to the riverbank. <"Only until we reach the river,"> she suggested. <"Let's keep as close to the trees as possible, so we are not seen so easily.">

Finally, the three Pokemon landed on the riverbank. Sureana arrived first and gently lay Runaito down on the grass, and then Asachiwa emerged from the trees (she had landed in the forest after handing the Persian to Sureana and then made her way through on foot).
<"Uh... Suneora?"> Asachiwa asked as she looked around. <"Where are you?"> Sure enough, Suneora nor her other Pokemon were on the riverbank.
<"I think I see her on Kaleni,"> Sureana noticed. <"I think I'll let her know we're here, and then Kaleni can come back to get you.">

So while Sureana followed the others across the river, Asachiwa and Runaito waited on the riverbank.
<"How are you feeling now?"> Asachiwa asked Runaito.
<"Not... very... good..."> Runaito grumbled. <"Now I can't even... move... very much... but... hopefully... I'll survive...">
<"If only Suneora had the magical powers she was supposed to possess back on Hakushiari..."> Asachiwa wondered.
If only I had the magical powers I was supposed to possess back on Hakushiari... Suneora thought as she sat atop Kaleni. She remembered her home on that island where she was born. The people who lived there had such powers, just like the Pokemon they lived with--but Suneora seemed to be the exception. This was the only memory she really had of that island, and it wasn't a very good one either as it suggested that she didn't fit in there at all. Normally it would be lucky to have such a memory of one's past life when everyone else's past is mysterious and unknown even to them... but in Suneora's case, it was instead a curse to know such a thing.

OOC: Hopefully having that little memory is OK... as it isn't a very good one. Nowadays I am giving my RPG characters all sorts of problems... in this case, Runaito's state and Suneora's rather sad memory.
