One of the new content introduced in Emerald was the Battle Frontier. It is the brainchild of Scott, built on an island at the south-eastern portion of the Hoenn region. Basically, it was a place where you take on different sets of challenges with teams of a certain number of Pokemon (usually 3) in one of 7 facilities. Extending your streak in a facility eventually leads a Frontier Brain to challenge you, giving an opportunity to win a Frontier Symbol; a silver symbol is awarded upon defeating a Frontier Brain for the first time, and a gold symbol for beating the same Brain twice. You earn BP for completing challenges, which can be traded for prizes or gambled for even more BP. At the south end of the island was also a Sudowoodo blocking the path to a cave full of Smeargle and stat vitamins.

What did you think of this place? Did you find yourself visiting it a lot? Which facility was your favorite? And were you able to complete a full set of silver/gold symbols?

I've played it and I loved it! I wish it returned in ORAS, oh well... The facilities are innovative and they are fun.~ I've got 7 Gold Symbols already.~ ^_^

I never did the Battle Frontier challenge because my brother was playing Emerald at the time and he wouldn't let me anywhere near the game. However my fave facility might have to be the Factory since rental Pokemon make for some odd and interesting twists.

I've admittedly not done that many of the Facilities in the Frontier. Maybe it's just me, but I've always felt they were really tough. The only one that never seemed as tough as the rest was the Seviper one (the Battle Pike, I think). That one was manageable, but there was also a luck factor involved.

Now the Battle Pyramid always sounded cool, but I never really got to try it much. Heck, even the name sounds cool.
