Say years down the line after Pokemon is done and over. Will you expose your children to Pokemon? Likelihood you would have to play them on ROMs and such. Would you do it?

Having a little brother that looks up to me, you'd be surprised how willing kids are to get into "old" stuff. I don't think I'll have kids, but I do think I'd let them try out some old gen Pokemon, just for the sake of my own nostalgia, haha.

Chances are I'm probably not going to have children, but if I were to have children, I wouldn't attempt to expose them to Pokemon. It would, to me, feel as if I'm forcing my past interests upon them, and it would be probably be so ancient and outdated that they wouldn't even go near it if I tried to show it to them, knowing the habits of today's generation.

I think that if I do have children then yes, I will show them Pokemon. I want them to experience what I did as a child and young adult. While they may or may not be into it as much , but I would just want them to know some of the things I liked and experience what life was like when I was growing up. My dad did/does the same thing. When I was a kid he played The Beatles for me and other bands and artist that were popular during his childhood. He also showed me older movies, such as Back To The Future, and stuff from the 60s and 70s along with older board games. I think I want to do the same with my children, let them see what it was like back then. I'd like to think they'd enjoy Pokemon and that we can enjoy Pokemon together. And if new games were still being made, we both can be excited and play them. :)

I doubt (once again, if I had children) they would be interested to be honest. Kids find their own thing to like from their friends and environment, thats how I found Pokemon, and how they will find the new trendy toy. You can't force your childhood upon them. So no :) I will have lots of "old" books and movies, like Harry Potter, for my use and theirs if they're interested.

See I didnt say force I said expose. Like showing them this what I did as a kid kind of thing.

Definitely. I've gotta admit, Pokemon is a huge thing in my life. It's how I met my best friends and my boyfriend and I have probably invested way too many hours in my life playing it, lol.

Seeing as I want children within 10 years, I think Pokemon will still be around and I'll definitely introduce it to them. But if they don't like it then that's okay too. They just have to deal with their Pokemon master mommy :b
