    These were travelling news reports who would challenge you to a double battle if you spoke to them, and upon winning, they would put you on tv. They would appear randomly on three different routes in the game. Did you ever bother to battle Gabby & Ty? I know I did a lot because it was just easy exp.
     
    It was easy exp and it was cute watching their Pokemon level up and evolve, made it feel a bit like they were on their own journey.
    Also props to Ty for lugging around that huge camera in the middle of the road.

    both of them made me feel like a big celebrity trainer hehe. sometimes i feel bad when I one-hit their pokemon but oh well :p

    I loved fighting them and seeing their Pokemon develop. One of my fondest memories of Pokemon Ruby is just me going in circles just battling them over and over. I never said anything to them as I thought that will change my name forever (don't ask, I was a kid).
     
    They were great. One of the things that made RSE much more immersive for me as kid. Like there are other trainers that make progress other than our character and rival. That's the future!

    I always told them random word. To this day I have no idea if this interview have an effect on the game.
