Game Making Competition, 2004

I've taken years of experience trying Pok?mon games, and I'll say that if anyone isn't trying hard enough at a satisfactory (stuff that word) level that I think is suited to the games... you get my 10 points. And if you fail, you would be very lucky to even get a 1.

I think those lines just put a couple of people off from entering... :\
Anyway, this competition should be about how good/creative you are
using rm2k. Follow the guidelines and well have fun making! (you know that
a rushed piece of work will be gutted right?) Even if your work does not
win first prize, hope you enjoy the time you put into it itself.

Hmm...Let's not think about those sort of things. I'll only believe something
sweet to my ears. I'm hoping this competition will start without a hitch.

Erm, it might be a bit late to add now but how about a christmas themed game? I think that'll be more appealing to veterans and n00bs and it fits in with this time of the year. You could bring the deadline forward a couple of weeks which'll still leave about seven weeks to make a fun, short-ish game and also actually adds some more games to the Finished Games and Demo thread. You could have rules like only allowing custom graphics.
Just an idea that I thought of because I was thinking of doing a small christmas game as a side project to Hidden Depths.
 
Well not necessarily do people celebrate christmas only if they're christians. I'm pretty sure that many people celebrate christmas as a time of love, caring and family reunion as well. However, yeah it's a bit too late to change the topic to Christmas.

And I have nothing to say regarding the choice of topics... as back then when the topic are just chosen, no one objected to it back then... and it's a bit too late now? People already started on it... Meh. I'm just a judge. All that I'm looking forward to is a good game to play, with a reasonable plot... (no I don't accept random battles for no reason.)
