    I didn't know how to directly word this, but, what kind of Pokemon Battle Style do you like?

    I like them for both Gen 6 (the 3D makes the battles feel very detailed) and Gen 5 (animated sprites and close-ups on the attacks gives them more life to the fight). But Gen 4's I wasn't the biggest fan of myself.
     
    Gen VI, no contest, and solely because of the atmosphere. I was online playing wifi battles, and just stopped to admire the whole neon techno surroundings. 3D sprites are great and all, but all the different environments really make it for me.
     
    I'm really used to the style of generations one through four, since, y'know, that's what I grew up with. xD" Same thing goes for generation five, since it's extremely similar. As for generation six, I haven't adapted to it yet, but will someday. What I love about this style is that its environment resembles games like Pokémon Stadium and Battle Revolution quite a bit. Also, the attack animations are pretty fun to look at.
     
    Gen 5.

    Acrobatics just looks 10x more... Cowabunga!!1 in Gen 5, ya know?

    I honestly prefer Gen 3's Battle display(although it isn't shown here.) cause of the nostalgia. Gen 4 was abit...i don't know. I just don't enjoy it as much. I also loved Gen 5. The moment I saw it's animations in the trailers during it's announcements, I was so amazed by the advance. Now in Gen 6, I am astounded. It felt alot different that what the console Pokemon games offered. It has a mix of 3d with some 2d outlines that made it enjoyable to me.
     
    Definitely Gen 6 style. It reminds me of Pokemon Stadium, the battles look much more realistic, and simply more awesome.
     
    Anything but Gen 5. It was the awkward stage between sprites and 3D models and since the artists didn't bother to ever redraw the sprites for different angles or even different poses (they just moved the limbs around) the whole thing just looked like a pixelated mess.
     
    I LOVE Gen 6's battle design. It'd be even more amazing if moves were split into categories so that the Pokemon have different animations whilst doing them (because you wouldn't do the same movement for Water Pulse as you would Psybeam!).

    I agree, I bit too pixelated for me. I was hoping in B2/W2 they would fix it, but now I have Y so no complaining! Pokemon Y's battle style is to me personally far superior (and not just because of the graphics).
     
    I like the 6th generation battle scene the most. Although the moment were it shows both pokemon zoomed in staring at you and the frame rate drops and looks choppy should be removed. Everything about the new battle scenes is great but whenever it zooms in to both pokemon and gets choppy like that I'm just like why would they do that knowing during testing the 3DS drops frame rate.

    If it can be patched and fixed great. If not then it should be removed to preserve the games great presentation.
     
    As amazing as gen 6 was when it came to graphics, i like the old style(s) better. I think its because i started with gen 3 and don't want to let go of what it used to be.
     
    Definitely Gen6, no doubt. The 3d animated sprites, the environment, the atmosphere...its just really immersive and looks awesome. I still really like the 5th Gen Battle style though, which is a lot more advanced than the one from previous Gens.
