Yeah, it's just hard for me to accept, haha. In the Netherlands, the whole economy is based on the fact that we speak a lot of languages. We are small, so we have a lot of business across the borders, which forces us to learn languages. I learn English, Dutch and German at school, and there are possibilities to do French or classical languages too. I have friends studying Russian, Polish, Danish and Arabic, so I get in touch with non native languages a lot. And then you have America, where people only speak English, and maybe Spanish. Not saying that there is anything wrong with it, because you probably won't need it, but it's a bit weird for me, haha.
