Got a Song That's Special to You?

Probably... Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru. Yes, it's the theme song to a video game, so bite me. xD It was the first one that I became completely obsessed with--I used to sit around and record the old Kingdom Hearts commercials just so that I could listen to the short clips of the song over and over again!

The funny thing is, my mom likes it almost as much as I do, heh. It is a great song.

I have a lot of music that's special to me, mainly because I don't listen to mainstream music. Rather, my interests lie in video game soundtracks and movie scores. To me, there's just something in them that nothing else on Earth can capture, and, frankly, their emotional impact drives my inspiration.

"The Violin" from The Good Shepherd soundtrack is one of these songs. For those interested in listening, you can download it here.

Probably...
Golden- Fall Out Boy
Welcome to my Life- Simple Plan
Never Let This Go- Paramore
Your Guardian Angel- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
The Reason- Hoobastank
Buried Myself Alive- The Used
Smile in You Sleep- Silverstein
Numb- Linkin Park

I have a lot of favorite songs, actually.

Adagio for Strings - Tiesto

It's a trance song with no vocals, and it has a strings segment that defies sense or belief. A great mental boost for me.

Crazy - Gnarls Barkley

A song that shows how an outsider views this crazy world we live in.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk

A song about pushing yourself to the limit and becoming all you can be.

Into the West - Hans Zimmer

A song about death. Sounds depressing, but it actually has a very uplifting message.

Klein Mandelbrot - Blue Man Group

A great "energy" song. Amazing instrument-I-can't-name solo about halfway through.

My Immortal - Evanescence

A warning to not fall so deeply into despair that you don't notice someone trying to help you.

Super long post, but that's pretty much my music faves in a nutshell.
