To be honest, there are positives and negatives I can take from it so far.

I enjoy the battles themselves, the Pokemon look and interface, while unspectacular is still fairly good. I also enjoy the use of the Battle Pass and the various customizations you can make to your profile. Getting your Pokemon off your DS onto the Wii couldn't be easier, and making your Battle Pass is easy as well.

My only real grumbles, are that so far the battles in the colosseum have been far from competitive. Most of my Pokemon are bred for IVs/natures and are EV trained, so coming up against Pokemon like Farfetch'd and Monferno doesn't really make for good battles. Please tell me the matches get harder as you go further into the game!

As for the Wifi battles, again positives and negatives for me. The ease of connecting is great, and the battles are enjoyable. Just a shame we can't choose an opponent rather than be given random opponents. The amount of people I battled who had rental Pokemon was ridiculous. In nearly 2 hours of battling on wifi, only 2 trainers had their own Pokemon, and only one of them seemed to have EV trained Pokemon and gave me a good battle.

Obviously thats just my own opinion, probably doesn't warrant its own thread, but anyway hehe!

Feel free to discuss my thoughts.

Well, you can beat the game with an EV trained, poor-IV team as I did. And even the last battle is as easy as D/P itself. Anyway, I haven't beaten the game a second time (where they get better, supposedly) but you can get that Pikachu with the default pass probably.

I sort of agree about the Wifi battles. It would help if they showed you the teams of people currently logged on so you could choose who to battle. At least 3 fourths of the people you battle are either newbies using battle passes or n00bs using all ubers. But still, it's fun to beat those n00bs too. I've battled a kid with four Rayquazas and a kid with the 3 main Deoxys forms and Celebi and effortlessly defeated all of them (and the team I use isn't even EV trained...). But when you do find good battles, they're really fun. I really don't care if I win or lose with battles like that.

As for the 3D graphics, they could be better. I'm not one to care so much about the way a game looks if it's a good game, but I was really expecting a bit more considering how good all the other Wii game's graphics are.

Yeah it's obvious the people who have ubers in their team have no strategic sense whatsoever, or just badly trained legends. One of my Pokemon swept his legendary team with no trouble, and I won't big myself up as a good trainer because frankly I'm well below the level of some of you guys.

I will likely play through some more tonight/tomorrow, mixed in with some more wifi battles, and see if I can find more 'able' trainers, being late in the evening for me and middle of the day for Americans, so hopefully some better trainers will be around.

Shiny Umbreon: Thanks for the heads up on the PBR competition. I hope the sequal/next planned game has a higher level of competition.

Yes, the matches in the game will get harder once you reach further in the game which also your rank goes up.

I actually think that transferring your creatures into the game kind if comes off as a tiring task, because when I tried it our, the transferring process was slow like hell.

Only took 20 seconds for me, about 15 boxfulls of Pokemon. Maybe because my Wii is literally right next to my wireless router =P

Pokémon Battle Revolution has a Friend Roster that works in the exact same way the Pal Pad in Pokémon Pearl Version and Pokémon Diamond Version does. That way, you can sort of choose your opponent from a list of 32 or less.

If they showed you the Battle Passes of everyone currently on the Nintendo WFC, it wouldn't be as exciting. You aren't really supposed to know what Pokémon your opponent uses, after all.

Pokémon Battle Revolution is easy at first, but it does get harder. Much harder. You just need the patience to prove yourself worthy to the game.

I was also ticked off that the CPU Trainers were using Pokemon like Likitung. It wasn't until I visted the Rental Battle umpteen times that I realised that the battles get harder as you improve your rank. Doh!

I think that people who use Rentals in Wi-Fi either don't own D/P or their own Pokemon is rubbish. I could be wrong...

The only other reason they'd do that is to see how far they'd get with them, but this reason would rarely be the case.

Yeah battles get harder up to rank 8 which in the Stargazer Colloseum you'll be fighting ubers around rank 5. So remember to IV breed if you don't wanna use ubers yourself.

lol, I beat PBR with my UU team...

The lack of competitiveness on wifi is apalling! I battled someone who used 6 Movie Darkrai, and all he did was Dark Void then Nightmare. I beat him, with my UU team, but my point is that people go online looking for a good battle and all they get are people who know 2/5 of jack. I actually battled someone 3 times in a row on the random opponent section, it seemed no-one else was on!

lol that has happened to me aswelll , nintendo needs to take all games and revamp .....

i was under the impression that PBR would revert your pokemon to lvl 50 to battle random people. Unfortunately it doesn't allow me to battle with my 100's am I missing something? also is there any way to get voice chat going on this game somehow?
