Grasping for the Light: A Teen Titans Roleplay

I made a right turn, toward my old "room." It was an absolue dump, just as I'd left it back when I was still a street thug. The couch in the center of my room was my destination.

I felt my own morphing energy start draining, I no longer had the focus to contain my own power. anybody with any special enrgy would be able to sence the output...

I practically had to drag Eclipse to the couch and set her down, hoping she wouldn't fall off as I walked over to the corner of the room and sat down there, starting to go into a meditative trance.

The instant I was down, I couldn't even get the time to thank him, before my own pain forced me to fall unconcous. I really hated when a weakness of mine was noticed, and this was no exception.

I spent a restful enough time, stuck in the comforting dark of my mind as I waited for Eclipse to recover.

about an hour later, the pain finally faded and even though I hadn't fully charged my morphing energy, I menaged to wake up. I noticed Chaos meditating, and waited, not wishing to disturb him, especially when he had been so helpful to me.

I actually came out of my trance soon afterwards, Eclipse finally having regained control of the energies that had been disturbing me. Smiling, I asked "Shall we head back to base?"

"As long as we come back in one piece with the disc he should be fine" I replied, stretching out a bit and continuing "You up for a bit of a run?"

ooc: this is driving me nuts! i cant reply until EU does!!! arrrrrrhg!

"Bout a quarter-mile to the nearest enterance" I said casually.

"kay then, let's get going!" I said, heading for the stairs.. I knew at this point the temptation to morph was going to be a bit much, but I'd deal with it, it wasn't the end of the world if I did morph

"Alrighty then," I replied, going for the stairs myself. "We start when we both get up top.

I didn't answer, mostly because by the time he had reached the stairs I was halfway up them. I knew that he would probably beat me in a race, but that was because he had training, all my training was morphing and fighintg in other forms.

I high-stepped up the stairs, hoping to catch up a bit. Racing was one of my favorite activities and I was more than looking forward to this.

once I got to the top of the stairs I got to the side and waited, as he had said the race didn't start until both of us were at the top, and I was getting some major adrenilene rushes. or, that was hyperness, didn't matter which.

I reached the top shortly after, rounding the corner at a near sprint as I yelled "Let's go!"

I muttered something about not being fair, but I took off after him anyway, though I couldn't reach my top speed unless i wanted to run out of energy, my endurance was pathetic but my pure speed was another story

I looked back quickly, seeing Eclipse slightly and closing fast. Pushing myself up a notch, I sped up a bit, hoping it'd be enough.
