Grasping for the Light: A Teen Titans Roleplay

I adjusted accordingly, and I was about a half second behind him, though I couldn't press myself much more, I planned to pour all my speed in about the last 30 or so feet.

I kept a solid pace ducking into an alleyway that cut through the block we were on. It'd cut about 150 feet off of the course and opefully Eclips was too close behind to react.

he was correct in guessign that I couldn't react fast enough, but I managed to hop on top of a wreaked car, jump and climb a little to get to the top of a small building, and continue from there, above the route. with a higher route, the time I lost getting here would be irrelivent.

I pushed myself a little harder, letting my long legs open up in earnest as I mopped a trash can and burst out of the alley and back onto a main road.

I crossed the building quickly, and then dropped down, resuming a place only a few feet behind Chaos, and since we seemed to be getting close to the base, I allowed myself to reach my top speed.

The conceled door was only 15 feet away when I really started pushing myself, shortly after Eclipse took a slight lead. We were roughly neck and neck when I took a chance and went into a full-out dive for the entrance.

I knew that there was no way I'd be able to win, but after he got to the door I said "talk about a close race, you're a good deal faster than you look"

I got up panting and brushing the dirt off of my pants as I said "You ain't so bad yourself. No one's been able to get me this worn out for years." I palmed the door and after checking my fingerprints it slid silently open.

OOC: Adamant, might I ask you where exactlly we (Or at least, Flygon_trainer and you) are? I have pretty much (Very strangely, might I add.) lost track.

<OOC>We're at one of the entrnces to Slade's base after finishing up a mission. I can't really say where any of the others are. And shame on you, not keeping track of your own RP!<OOC>

I didn't comment to that, as I was out of breath, and I didn't trust my own voice as I'd probably have ot find a plausible lie for some reason. There was a lot I intended to keep secret, though the dragon morph and its after-effects was supposed to be one of the best kept.

I stretched myself out a bit as I descended the stairs, jumping off the last few as I wasn't quite off my competitive high. This stair led down into one of the upper halls, just under the subway lines.

I followed, though my hyper streak was long gone, and I had no idea what caused it, though I made a mental note to not drink so many suger based liquids. yeah, right, like THAT was going to happen.

When Eclipse arrived, I punched the lift button, ready to go and give ou report to Mr. Slade.

OOC: Hm, I must say... Yeah. '_'; See, there's a lot of pressure I'm currently undergoing. Ah, well.

IC:
Illusion winced a few minutes later, as, when she looked around, there were a few security cameras. Great, that is exactlly what I need, She thought, her thoughts ozzing with sarcasm.

Quickly, though knowing it was quite foolish of her to do so, ran up to the nearest display case (She had figured out she was in some kind of a huge fancy jewlery store), and, with a few hard scrapes of her specail device she used for cutting glass, she reached in, and pulled out a stunning gem necklace, just as the alarm began to wail.

Her eyes darted about, and, rushing out of few of the cameras (Hopefully), she created a copy of herself, as to fool the 'good guys'.

She then created a few shadows, although it took up most of her illusional power, and knowing they wouldn't last long, scampered back to the shaft with her prize.

Some few seconds later, unknown to her as she crawled back to the front, the Titans (At least two, as there had been another break-in somewhere else, obviously) arrived on the scene.

at this point, I was really wondering how big slade's base was, and how he kept it from being detected.. the thought of a base reminded me of my own, and reminded me of something special to me that had probably been lost in the flames...

saphira tured around sensing psycho`s aproach. "why did you follow me here?" she asked. saphira was weakening. she hated when this happens. no good was going to come out of this.
<Why did I follow you here? Because you need to be stopped, and I intend to be the one to stop you!> Psycho focused energy into his palms, getting ready for a sudden move from the girl. He knew this villain would not go down without a fight.

"i-i cant fight.." saphira said, looking behind her at the dark waves. she ran and dove into the water. she wouldnt mind fighting him but she couldnt kill him...

Psycho sighed. He wasn't much of a swimmer, so he'd have to create a psy-bubble around himself, cutting almost a third of his potential energy to fight this girl. he focused his energies, Creating a large purpleish bubble around him as to protect him from the water. He then levitated up, and dove full- force into the water. This was going to get ugly..

Getting onto the lift, I said to Eclipse "You can go to your quarters if you want. Only one of us needs to report."
