I had the same thing happen to me multiple times :/ Was it the second lass in that vertical row of trainers? There's also a few more trainers that do that, one of them being the last trainer in Blaine's gym. Just answer the question, or else as soon as you talk to him, the game crashes.

I beat Blaine with a combination of Sleep powder and normal moves.
Did the tri-island stuff.
Beat Giovanna with my Grass moves and sleep powder.

Training to beat my rival now. He has Pidgeot, Alakazam and Charizard, all super effective on me. Pidgeot and Alakazam are easy, but Charizard is freakin hard. So yeah, time to train some more :D

Actually, I think I will post updates. Derp.

1. Started the game with Patrick the Treecko.
2. Did mandatory opening stuff and went onto the Route near Oldale, where I caught a Lotad. ...After killing another one. >> Named her Groeni, but will probably be renamed to something cooler.
3. Shook fist at Pokédex for not allowing Gardevoir to be a Green Pokémon.
4. Did Wally's little subquest, met Scott, etc.
5. Entered Petalburg Forest after grinding my 'mons against some Wingulls and Poochyenas and the like.
6. Caught Roasty the Shroomish -- shaddup, it's an in-joke. This is half of my team, caught in the first few hours of the game. Pretty pro if you ask me. (The real problem is going to be Cradily... I hate those rock things, but not all my 'mons can be Grass-types...)

Very delayed update on account of being out of town for the past week, but finally getting my update up. ~

Also, I decided to not add Xatu and Tropius to my team. (The latter because it would be another grass type... the former because by the time I caught one, my team was about 13 levels ahead and I didn't feel like grinding) Instead, I trained Kecleon.

Spoiler:

-Started my journey back to Rustboro, training Trapinch along the way.
-Continued on back toward Petalburg.
-Prepared my team for what I assumed would be a tough battle against "my dad".
-Took on Petalburg gym and after about four tries, finally collected my badge.
-Trapinch evolved into Vibrava.
-Collected HM03 and prepared for yet another journey, this time across the water.
-Surfed out toward the abandoned ship, training my Pokemon on the way.
-Explored the ship a bit and then continued across the water, once again training my team.
-Surfed around for a bit, exploring as many surfing areas as possible before finally heading toward the next town.
-Arrived at the weather institute and did that little side plot.
-Battled my rival, and found him embarrassingly easy this time.
-Arrived in Fortree.
-Collected my Pokemon... scope... thing... to find Kecleons and caught Kecleon.
-Challenged Winona, beating her on my first try using Lombre, Dustox, Kecleon, and Vibrava. Only one that gave me trouble was her Skarmory.
-Team was about Lvl 38 by that time. (lowest level being Kecleon at Lvl 32 or 33)
-Continued my journey once again.
-Headed toward the next town, battling the trainers along the way and trained Kecleon to lvl 37 so that he'd be up to speed.
-Arrived in Lilycove, did some shopping after defeating my rival once more, and headed to Mt. Pyre.
-Defeated the grunts, explored Mt. Pyre, continued along the route.
-Headed back to Jagged pass, defeated Team Magma.
-Returned to Lilycove, talked to the grunts.
-Returned to Slateport, watched Team Aqua take the submarine.
-Returned to Lilycove, defeated Team Aqua.
-Surfed to Mossdeep, defeating the trainers along the way.
-Took on Tate and Liza, defeating them using Dustox, Lombre, and Sceptile.
-Went to the space center, defeated Team Magma.
-Explored the ocean; dive and all. (used a Tentacool for Dive)
-Traded blue shard for water stone, evolved Lombre into Ludicolo.
-Vibrava evolved into Flygon.
-Found the submarine, did the Team Aqua thing.
-Went to Sootopolis.
-Did the cave of origin thing.
-Went to Pacifidlog.
-Explored the water a bit more.
-Went to the Sky Pillar.
-Returned to Sootopolis.
-Finished the legendary thing and took on Juan, beating him quite easily using Kecleon, Sceptile, Ludicolo, and Flygon.
-Headed toward Evergrande. (using Tentacool for Waterfall)

-Made my way through Victory Road.
-Arrived at the Pokemon League.
-Stocked up on Potions, Full Restores, and Revives.
-Prepared my team for battle.
-Entered the league!
-Challenged Sidney, who was rather easy to beat using Dustox and Kecleon. (and a few Revives and Potions)
-Challenged Phoebe, who proved a challenge. But I eventually beat her using Kecleon, Sceptile, and Ludicolo. Had two fainted Pokes afterward. Healed up and continued.
-Challenged Glacia, who was a challenge. Had to soft reset once, but eventually took the win using Kecleon and Sceptile.
-Got anxious on my way to Drake, since he's usually my downfall.
-Challenged Drake. He proved a challenge, as per usual for me. But with a lot of luck, Flygon, Kecleon, and Ludicolo... I took the win after only one soft reset.
-Got even more anxious as I headed toward the champion.
-Challenged Wallace. This time, I had to soft reset several times. Since my team was around 50-52 and his was in the late 50's, I had a bit of a struggle. But I finally got down to his last few Pokemon... struggled with his Ludicolo, though... who insisted on Double Teaming and Leech Seeding me to death. Finally defeated him using my entire team (minus Dustox). Three of my Pokemon were fainted at the end, and one was down to red health... but it was a win!!!
-I am now the champion and I have a team of nothing but green Pokes to thank for it.

Beat my rival because of epic overleveling. xD

The way trough the victory road was easy with such high levels.

Lorelei got pwnt by some Razor leaves.
Bruno as well.
Agatha was really difficult.the rest pwnt with
Gengar, haunter were Leech seed stalled, the rest was pwnt with neutral normal attacks.
Lance was pretty difficult, but normal type moves + Sleep powder (and giga drain for Aerodactyl) ftw.
Then my rival battle was pretty hard, but level 80s live super effective attacks and kill with neutrals :)

After being given an Orb, I took a quick trip to route 123 to get Giga Drain for Lombre.

Not really sure on who the MVP of my team was... It was definitely Clover at the beginning, but she lost usefulness as the other two got better. Would have been fine with any of them as starters. Shamrock was really useful with HM Juggling. At one point (Seafloor Cavern), she knew 3 (Dive, Surf, Strength)

Ohhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaah! Finally, I've completed this challenge. :'D

I went against the Elite 4, with a team of Level 50 Pokemon and they were amazing! Breloom and Dustox swept through Sidney, whereas Pheobe required a combined effort from the entire team. Breloom once again swept through Glacia, and Ludiculo and Flygon did a nice job kicking Drake. Sceptile and Breloom easily wiped though Wallace. :>

I'm feeling too lazy to type out anything, so I've got a whole bunch of screenshots with my green team!
