Greninja will be back ?

Most likely not. The episode sets up that only Greninja can see the vines, and thus he must stay in Kalos to protect the world and Kalos, should the weapon used to create them, rise again. After all in the legends Ash Greninja was the hero of the ninja village, now it's the hero of all of Kalos.

So it coming back seems unlikely, but you never know. Maybe Zygarde gets to Alola somehow and hides out there. I doubt that though, but you never know.

It's sad to see him go, but it's a nice story, even if I'm slightly disappointed by results. It still makes sense. On the plus side, Goodra is still available to be called on. It be cool to see it come back sometime in Sun and Moon.
 
I highly doubt Greninja will return, especially since it's role now involves being put on a bus that goes all over Kalos.

Maybe a cameo towards the end of SM where Greninja can't sense any more vines so he searches for Ash? Problem is that the anime is always going to be an advertisement and they'll want to show off the new Pokemon, so Greninja at that point becomes fan service and there's only so much fan service one gets in the anime.

I think the only chance we're going to see Greninja is him doing his job with Zygarde and coming across Bonnie & Clemont.

I wish he will be...

But honestly, Greninja won't be... This is a great way to write Greninja (Now the Hero of Kalos) out of the show. Basing it all on Greninjas personality (Being a loyal ninja, who's a bit battle hungry) He will most likely keep his word and guard Zygarde for all time (Kinda like how the legendary Gekouga watched over the ninja village.)

I hope so. Maybe it will be a Charizard kind of thing why he come when ash is in a Big Crunch...
