Which gym leader do you like better?

Well, if you watched the preview for Best Wishes it looks like Yanappu is his signature Pokémon. So i'm going with grass for Dento. Though that concerns me about Aloe's type since people have been saying that she'd be a grass type gym leader as well.
 
Dento could still be Fire/Grass/Water. We only know one of his pokemon. We have more evidence for a gym with him having a Grass pokemon, a Fire pokemon and a Water pokemon.

For Dento being a Grass Leader:
- He has Yanappu
- He is green

For Dento having one Fire, one Water and one Grass type
- In Game his puzzle has to do with picking between the three types to solve questions
- He is the First Leader, which would be great for introducing types to new players. Game Freak loves making the game good for new players
- His gym badge is made up of three stones, Red, Blue and Green.

Just because Dento has a Grass pokemon doesnt mean he is a grass leader. Heck this is only one of his pokemon. You cannot just jump to conclusions using old ways of thinking. Pokemon is changing and a gym with no real set type is bound to happen early in game eventually.

For all we know he could be a completely mixed gym leader.
I would prefer mixed instead of a mono-type as it usually is. D:
Something a tad less predictable than Fire/Water/Grass as well would be amazing.

I'm going to agree with some of the few who said that may as well just be Aloe's name even if it is grass related. Dento and Yanappu make great partners as I see the picture of the two. :)
I'd make a guess that Aloe would be a fire or rock type gym leader. Her dark clothing/reddish look gives me that prediction.

It the japanese version of there names they do but I'm not sure how much English...though there is Jasmine who isn't grass...that's all I can think off...

Dento is a sommelier (a wine steward for Pokemon? lol). Well, either way, wine is made from grapes which grow on vines. We all remember the ever-crappy Vine Whip move, right?

Not to mention Dento is specifically labeled Pokemon Sommelier, and sommeliers do compare different types of wines and pair them up with the right foods...
 
Also with the sommelier thing, it could have a lot to do with Pokemon-Types, and what goes well against what. His gym focuses on those types of questions before you can battle him also. Instead of wine types it's Pokemon-Types, but I still think he will be a Grass-Type trainer.

That leads me more into thinking he's mixed. If Pokemon Sommelier does indicate that he knows his types well and matches them up similar to how sommelier's do with wine, then maybe his AI in-game will match a Pokemon of his team to yours that will have the advantage to yours, or do normal damage at the least. Which could ultimately lead to him switching out in battle too. <3

If he has more than one type then what does that mean for the other gyms? Cramming a few types into each gym so they're all covered? D: Let's think of badges, too... because they need to represent something, so... idk :(
 
Lotta people keep sayin. Aloe's Grass-type and dento's Bug-type...
But could be the other way round :/

According to the anime, Dento have the "Grass Monkey"... (I know anime is not a reliable source for speculating but...)
And as for Aloe... Most of the people in thread said her looks is just like a gardener,,,
but a gardener doesn't mean they are 100% Grass-type user, she could be also a Bug-type expert... In the real world, there are insects lurking in gardens or greenhouses... :/

Well that was back then, and this is now, I think Aloe will be Fire now...

Take a closer look at Aloe's artwork if you must. She isn't fat at all, not even close. :| It's only her clothes being brought out so much and being large in size that gives Aloe the impression she is fat. And even if she was fat, so what? Don't judge someone because of that - it's pretty rude to others. :\

I prefer Dento though. Given a cool design and an interesting personality in the anime, I just naturally have a liking to him. Not to mention, being a Grass-type Gym Leader for the first gym is really a plus and change from the traditional Rock-type Gym.

yup she isn't fat, it's only that apron that poofs out making her look fat...I don't like that apron...

Yeah fat=/= ugly...

I also think Dento's Grass-type.. But at the sametime it feels strange to me...
I mean they can be other types but not Fire, Water or Grass... I dunno...

Also it is said the dark place with roller coaster is "Electric-type Gym"... Roller coasters do use electricity but the color of the "Gym" just doesn't feels right to be Electric-type... It's more like a Dark-type, Ghost-type or even Psychic but definately not Electric... Maybe because the previous Electric type Gyms are mainly yellow in color so I just have that feeling... Moreover it's not proven a Gym yet(?)
