4th Gen Gym Leader/E4 Levels

In my opinion, the levels for all trainers, including gym leaders and the elite four, could use a boosting, not a reducing.
Red was even a joke on some of my playthroughs.
Thing is, that's my opinion, not necessarily everyone else's opinion.
Then again, I still stand by the fact that the levels in G/S/C were jokingly low.

I agree that the level were joking low. However, Pyrce should still have higher levels than Jasmine since he comes after her in order.

Makes sense, they should switch the order or change the level difference. Though I do wonder why they were higher in the first place.

But you could beat Pryce before you fought Jasmine and Chuck, so they had to make him about the same as Chuck and Jasmine stronger since most people who got up to Jasmine probably fought Chuck first.

Her Pokemon may be higher levelled, but they aren't exactly stronger. I've personally found it easier to take out Jasmine's Pokemon over Pryce, since he has these annoying type combinations in his Pokemon, like Seel and Dewgong being a combination of Water and Ice, nullifying the Fire weakness, and Piloswine, being Ground and Ice, having an insane defence and being a general pain. >:-(

Pryce, Chuck, and Jasmine can be fought in any order, so I wouldn't call it necessary to make one stronger than the others.

forget that, they need to follow the manga, that game would sell billions

Merged with this pre-existing thread.

They won't follow the manga - they're different canons made by completely different people and all. =P

Those are what i think the levels should be, i have made them roughly the same as the gym leaders and elite four of fire red and leaf green

As much as the leveled should be upped to match what we want, Nintendo is not only trying to swindle us out of more money, they're swindling everyone else too.

I mean, we'll most likely see some upped levels, ranging from 5-10, and some changed Pokemon, with new features thrown in too.

Here's to hoping Nintendo throws in an extra or two for the hardcore games that have been around since the 1st gen, lol.

I just played through Crystal, and I beat Red with just a lvl 72 Typhlosion, and a lvl 50 Snorlax. They would've been higher, but all the trainers and gyms pokemon were SO LOW!!! They seriously need to be upped a bit. The ONLY challenge was Red, and even then, I beat him in about 10 mins of healing/switching.

I know that you really are the only one running around... but the point is that if you think about it... it doesn't make as much sense to have the wild levels ALL be around the 30s or even the 40s... they can be raised... but they would have to gradually get higher like they did for r/b/y/fr/lg

Since the kanto gym leaders are in thier 40s, it's very very unfortuneate indeed. XD If they do keep it the same, oh well, they do.

Also, if you look at it, if you raise the levels of the gyms, that would mean that every other trainer would have to be jacked up in levels too so you can keep up with the leader's levels... I mean you don't got too far and get too much exp before you face falkner, thought I love the posibility of higher levels, I don't think it's such a great idea, but I kinda hope they did decide to do it, would be more fun and challengeing... Omg, would this mean that all of red's pokemon would be like level 100 or something? >.===.> On second thought, bad idea, binky boy.

It should be higher.....Lance instead of 50s should have 60s or even 70s

I thought that with the Gym Leaders after each one you beat the next one got stronger, because I fought them in order one time then out the next and the levels were different.

Well, I do hope they make the levels higher. Here are my thoughts on their teams.

And now for Red...

Red

Snorlax: Lv. 100
Venusaur: Lv. 100
Charizard: Lv. 100
Venusaur: Lv. 100
Pikachu: Lv. 100

Well, Blane and Blue had a huge level difference in between them. (50-58, highest level) I had to put that in. It may be a bit much, though, seeing as he gets a Lv. 95. Red has an entire team of Lv. 100s, but... oh well. That's what it would be like if the levels were raised... granted, a couple would be a little high, and the difference in the Kanto leaders wouldn't be as great, but it's what I think, and, personally, what I hope for... even though it won't happen.
