Spoiler:
The purpose of this event is to help new hackers become more comfortable with the basics of hacking - honing the basic skills that will make designing and creating their own hack that bit easier.
Each fortnight three tasks will be given. These tasks will start off with very simple elements of ROM hacking. Whilst the first tasks will be very open, the secondary, harder tasks will require a bit more focus! In order to help complete these objectives I will be providing mini-tutorial tips as well as linking to useful documents here on The PokéCommunity.
These tasks will act as grades - completing task one will give you a bronze trophy, tasks one and two will get you a silver and finishing all three will earn you a gold. Show a screenshot, or upload a patch, as evidence and I'll award you with a trophy (and maybe some emblems as well)!
Whilst this contest is aimed at beginners, I am happy for anyone to join. Similarly, if you'd like to help someone or comment on how they can improve on their work feel free. As long as you're constructive, anyone can help out.
