I have an story idea, too.

The hero/heroine resides in a town on a snowbound island in the center of the region. While in town, you spot a pokemon running towards [title] mountain. You follow it until you reach the base of the mountain, where an avalanche occurs. You save the pokemon (who becomes your starter), but the path is blocked, so you are forced to find another way through the mountain. When you eventually reach the peak, you happen upon a Pokemon (Kyurem) trapped within a large block of ice. The ice melts as you move closer, releasing the Pokemon and knocking you into the sea below in the process.

You wake up having floated to some mainland town where you witness [professor] being questioned by a shady character. You help him and he explains that Kyurem has been cause havoc and that a team has come out of hiding in order to harness its power. You tell him of your situation, and he sets you all up for your journey (pokedex, pokeballs, etc). The initial part of the game would be about returning home (where you'd learn about the history of the islands creation, Kyurem, and team Ice). The second part would be about stopping the two.

...yeah, pretty basic. There could be more detail here and there, but that's the gist anyway.

I don`t really like the idea of traveling through Sinnoh and through the Distortion World. Most of us have already played Pokémon D/P/Pt, so doing the exact same things over again may seem not quite original.

I do not understand why we need a skype group, we have an IRC which is more than enough.

Now, I repeat myself - I am the worst storyline creator ever born (my stories are even worst than Lost Heart`s) but I am gonna suggest some muk anyways:

It is more than okay to make the game happening in a region that was already being used in an official Pokémon game, but I really don`t feel like it should have the same story as the official game.
We can make a story that is based on the legendary Pokémon from the game.

In the other hand, we can make a new region with a completely new story, which seems the best option in my opinion but it is harder.

I am not the one that decides the storyline but these are my suggestions.

Speaking of a completely different subject, I don`t know if all the teams have a music composer that is capable of making a complete original regional set. I have never tried doing a complete regional set but thanks to the summer holidays, I have time and I think I am capable of doing a complete regional set.
I already started composing something that can be used as the evil team`s encounter theme.

Good work today guys! I'm really glad that most of us could meet up today. Like I put in the first post, since most of us live in or around EST we'll hopefully be meeting around 2:00 PM as often as possible to chat on the IRC. Guys! I made some areas.
These are all based of the areas of my old roleplaying forum

Iridis Tundra
A land, dangerous to most. Consists of a frozen land coated in snow. On certain occasions, Ice-types gather at the middle to form a rainbow aurora visible across the whole tundra. It is believed that the Ice Rock rests here.

Pallidus Forest
Usually a calm and peaceful forest with a breezy ambiance. Flora and Pokemon here are one with nature, from Grass, Flying, Water to the elusive Fairy-types linger here.

Quae Caverns
A tunnel slash cave system running underneath the mountainous area of Viridis. Be careful when exploring the misleading tunnels, even the most experienced sometimes get lost here, sheltering many types Pokemon.

Mt. Acies
A volcano that is still active but there hasn't been an eruption for 300 years that was named after its discoverer, Narziel Acies. Researchers believe that the legendary Pokemon, Moltres has visited the island where the volcano is situated on.

Tumulus Hills
An area consisting of rolling hills and plateaus, and a popular spot for picnicking. This area is home to almost every type of Pokemon.

Fleo Rainforest
A largely uncharted forest. With high temperatures, and trees taller than skyscrapers. It's unknown what Pokemon inhabit this forest, but Bug, and Grass types seem plausible.

Pulvis Desert
A ruthless wasteland of sand and sun, it can be incredibly difficult to survive hotter-than-hot days and colder-than-cold nights without proper supplies and clothing. Caution is to be heeded in preparation of traveling this vast, ever-shifting land, for there is not much shelter from raging sandstorms other than Pokemon-infested caves.

Gratchenburg
A city holding a lot of history and culture. A tulip garden can be found at the outskirts of town. It is well known for the only quality cycling shop in the region. A fishing bridge awaits those who exit

Ramum
A town which happens to be the breeding capital of the Viridis Region located near Pallidus Forest. There are many facilities such as Pokemon Daycares and Breeding Centeres, though even with these facilities sometimes there might be an overabundance of eggs.

Parietes City
A city of time, in which even with the changing cultures keeps it's medieval look with a large castle and old fashioned homes that have been made of recent materials rather than plain old stone. There are theaters where they hold plays and taverns where travelers can relax.

Atticus Beach
Blessed with white sands, this beach is the biggest in the whole region. Many tourist go here for sunbathing and other beach related activities, mostly in the summer.

Obrussa City
A mining city, similar to Oreburgh in the Sinnoh Region. Their main export is veins and ores of iron, gold, coal and copper. Many of the men here are miners. Sometimes they find rare fossils in the mines.

Calpar Village
A village hidden deep in the jungles. Many native people live there, in their wooden hut as homes. They protect the Moss Stone, saying that the stone holds mystical powers.


Nigrum Central City
A metropolis city located at center Viridis. It is abundant with black skyscrapers with different business lingering about, including hotels, restaurants and malls.

Discant Civitas
A city that was born of many researchers mind. It is full of high-technology from its buildings, streets, lights and even the simplest beds. The education system there is one of a kind, plus, they give importance to science in everyday life.

I don't like my idea about Arceus and the plates... I like my Silver idea, and I think everyone else did too.

Munna eats dreams to make nightmares go away (before you have the Lunar Wing)
Darkrai lives in an abandoned city where there are people who are scared and think their nightmares are real.
Darkrai controls people and Pokemon through their nightmares
Cresselia helps the player get back the Lunar Wing.
The Lunar Wing wakes everyone up.
