i know. Order o the pheonix was very boring to me.

But one problem. HBP wont make the BEST movie since it is really just a storytelly book not a movie type.

I tried so hard not to get spoiled before I finished the book, and I succeeded. xD

The Book 6 title was kinda off, since the HBP didn't play as much as a role then the other titles. <<; But it amuses me how we all guessed incorrectly. xD

At first I thought the title didn't fit as much, but when you think about it was right for the title. I mean Harry was receiving help from this 'Half-Blood Prince' who in the end turned out to be Prof. Snape, the one who ended up killing Dumbledore. So yea I felt the title did fit. I'll be curious to see how they adapt this one to a film, I mean this book was VERY dark.

Yeah, it's hilarious how people guessed everyone but Snape XD We should have expected J.K. to trip us up by making us assume that the person was a known-half blood and not one masquerading as a pureblood. I always swore it was Hagrid up until the moment I saw that HBP was a potions master, and then I gave up my idea (and almost instantly realized it had to be Snape o_o; )

Did you guys hear, I believe Rowling said that the last Quidditch match in HBP was the very last Quidditch match of the series.

I suppose it would have to be since Harry's not coming back to Hogwarts next year. Nobody get mad, but I suppose I'm not that disappointed that there are no quidditch matches next book...I've always found them a bit tedious to read ._.;

hi. I guessed it was snape the half blood prince at the beggining of the chapter *Flight Of The Prince*

This book was great and i think the title was to throw us off. It worked becuase i thought it was dumbledore all along.

Flight of the Prince has one wicked awesome illustration. If it wouldn't spoil the book for some people, I'd have it as my avatar, probably.

The UK version just has an illustration of a copy of Advanced Potion Making on it, doesn't it? I mean, if that would have been on the US cover, I think I would have guessed who the Half-Blood Prince was right away o_O;

i love the Uk versions of the books. I live on Planet X and was only able to get the book from ordering it LOL

I believe that Snape was, for the lack of a better term, deep undercover. When someone has infiltrated a group, they usually have to do some pretty nasty things to keep the others from getting suspicious. Dumbledore knew what was going to happen which is why he had Harry put on his invisibility cloak, and then paralized Harry so he could see everything. Harry needed a kick in the pants to fulfill his destiny. And I don't Ginny will let anything like Harry chasing Voildemort will keep her away from Harry. Can't wait for book seven.

I believe that Snape and Dumbledore had planned Dumbledore's death. Look at this conversation between Hagrid and Harry from HBP:

Hagrid:I-- well, I was coming out of the forest the other evening and I overheard them talking-- well, arguing. Didn't like to draw attention to myself, so I sort of skulked and tried not to listen, but it was a--well, a heated discussion and it wasn't easy to block it out.

Harry:Well?

Hagrid:Well-- I just heard Snape saying Dumbledore took too much for granted and maybe he---Snape--- didn't want to do it anymore--

Harry: Do what?

Hagrid:I dunno, Harry... anyway, Dumbledore told him flat out he'd agreed to do it and that was all there was to it. Pretty firm with him.

Dumbledore must have already been dying because of his wound from Marvolo's ring, and so he had made Snape promise to kill him. Like DoubleWide said, that's why Dumbledore paralyzed Harry; he knew what was going to happen and didn't want Harry to interfere.
