Harvest Moon

I was brought into the wonderful world of Harvest Moon at a friends house. The first one I played was.. the one for gamecube... I forget the name. XD. Since then, I have been a huge fan of it.


I haven't really owned any of the games except HMDS Cute. I really like it. The DS has it really fun and interactive. I like washing the animals and shearing them. It is fun. Err.. so I am trying to marry Skye(Which, may I say, is a big pain) Who else plays these series? Which one is your favorite? Why? Who are you trying to marry?

IF I get a Wii, I'll surely get Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility or whatever it is.. unless they get a new one.

As a side note, I would love them to exand the systems they are playable on. As far as I am concerned, they do not have it on xbox360, they might. I dunno really. I would gobble that game up.

What are your opinions?

My favorite bachelor is Luke, obviously. But Kai is a close second ;D

I love Harvest Moon series too!Although they're repetative but they're addicting :D I played all the games,except from the GameCube one.I don't have a GameCube :P Anyway,I played mostly all HM games but I may have incomplete progresses!

Kai is my man. I want a real man like him, honestly. He matches what I want to find in a boy. He's like my dream boy ^^

Honestly, I thought Rune Factory kind of sucked. It just drifts away from what Harvest Moon really is and it's really boring in my opinion. Dunno about everyone else's opinion though........ I would suggest buying one of the boy games. They're fun too.

Now here is my funny story with Kai
Alrighty, so I decided that I wanted to marry Kai even though he came only during the summer. So I started and got him to the red heart by the second (or third?) summer. Alright, no problem for me. So I go and get the red feather and show it to him.......and he refuses! I was so upset and decided that maybe I wasn't supposed to show it to him right after getting him to the red heart. So I continued to give him gifts, show the feather, give gifts, show feather..............yawn. This lasted till 7th year. YES, 7th year. I was so annoyed that I looked it up and almost slapped myself in the face. I didn't do all the events for him. Geez. After doing the two missing events, he accepted my feather. The End.

Not my smartest moment, I admit............

I got Harvest Moon DS exactly a week ago. =p (They didn't have any of the other HM games? =[)
Also, my mom bought me a Wii randomly and I'm going to see if I can get the HM game for it - would you guys that have it recommend it? =p

On HM DS, I named my character Calen. I'm going to marry Celia.
I have 4 chickens named Rosie, Joey, Marina and Nico.
I have 3 cows named Tessa, Daisy, and Winter, and a sheep named Matt.
I've been addicted to this ever since I got it =p

My favorite so far is Island of happiness. It's a lot different from the other games, but it's amazing XD I would recommend it to anyone.

I am married to Shea. I have unlocked 67 people. I have 8 chickens; ChiChi, China, Cherry, Cheyan, Charla, Chika, Chiree, && Chansy, 3 cows; Melody, Maika, && Milly, and a horse named Ichus, and a dog named Shinbo (I later found out Shinbo was a girl, hahaha!)

Current Goals
-Get baby bed
-Get all couples married
-Get 4 cows and 4 sheep
-Get Maker Shed
-Get all the Makers
-Get a Green House XD

I was all new to the games, so I didn't have a clue what I was doing (and I went for one of the hardest guys >_<). And I didn't really go through all seven years. I went to bed, woke up, took care of my animals, and then went back to sleep until Summer. Not really thinking ahead, and I sure do not do that on the HM Cute game. Just in year one, I nearly have Kai up to a red heart. Woohoo! (Now I have to find those **** sprites)

I've only played a few, Rune Factory, DS Cute and Island of Happiness.
Notice they're all for DS? I don't have anything else! XD
They're fun and addictive, that's for sure, but they take a lot of patience.

They take a TON of patience, and they aren't for people that don't like repetition :p
I love them though. I don't mind doing the same thing for hours :p I like to make goals for myself and play until I meet them! XD

You definitely should! =) They're so fun.

Anyways, in my Harvest Moon DS, I have like 3 girls up to the green heart level, including the girl I want to marry =p The rest of the girls I can marry are at purple or blue. I'll get there =p

I've only played until the middle of Autumn in Year One. I'm sure I'm off to a great start and it's definitely been fun! Two of my chickens have started laying medium sized eggs! xD Not a big deal but it's the little things in this game that make it so much fun =)

I've been giving everyone presents at six in the morning, going around the town using the Teleport Stone. I have maxed out friendship for many of the villagers. Two nights ago, I went into the second mine and got the Legendary Sword! :3 Although, I have noo idea how to use it.. I was swinging it at the huge rocks it's supposed to be able to remove for like 4 hours (in game). >____< Does anyone know how to use the Legendary Sword?
