    with 721 Pokemon currently in the Pokedex, catching them all seems like an uphill task. Even with all of the ways to trade, events, and giveaways it can still seem like doing this is a near impossible task. Have you ever actually completed the Pokedex in game before? If so, how did it feel? What did you do once you had every Pokemon obtained?
     
    As soon as I get close another game comes out. I'll never catch 'em all D:
     
    I'm currently on 718/721 on Pokemon X, seen and owned.

    Only ones missing are Meloetta, Genesect and of course Volcanion.

    I've currently got one of every single Pokemon (apart from the aforementioned three) in National Dex order in my Pokemon Bank, plus hundreds more that I've caught, raised and traded over the years.

    Have a pseudo-living Dex (only boxed final stages) in my ORAS file. Everything but Volcanion, of course. Either way, National Dex reads 720/720.

    Shiny Charm does make the occasional shiny hunts significantly easier, I'll have to say.
     
    Yep got all released Pokemon in nat dex order in my OR and a cloned set in my Pokebank and Pokemon Y for safety sake.
     
    As far as the game is concerned yes.

    I got the Diploma in (IGN - Stephanie). The first addition was Fennekin (My starter) with the last addition being Mismagius (Which I evolved right in front of Sycamore). :)

    This was the first time I have completed the Pokedex. It was a big undertaking with lots of GTS trading particularly for the tricky to get ones like Porygon 2 and Magmortar.
     
    Yes, I FINALLY achieved my dream of getting one of every Pokemon, in dex order, in my PC boxes in Pokemon X. Whether or not this is something I'll attempt again in the future remains to be seen, though...it took me nearly ten years to do it the first time. xD

    Lucky! I've been telling myself that I am going to complete the dex on Omega Ruby but it's going to take me a while to get all of those event legendaries haha. Oh well, the 20th Anni events are going to be a huge step forward in completing the Pokdex!
     
    Yes! I did that in my copy of X. :) I'm only missing Volcanion, for obvious reasons. And that new thingie. lol But I had a lot of fun with it! I was trying to do it again in AlphaSapphire, but for some reason, it just wasn't as fun. idk why.
     
    Thanks to Wonder Trade and breeding, yep!
    I started by catching all Pokemon I could in my Y and AS and then breeding and evolving them to fill in the gaps. Then I made a few trades for the rest, but Wonder Trade helped me get the missing evolution lines, as well as some of the Legendaries.
    The only ones missing were the mythical legendaries, but I obtained those through that QR hack last year. I'm not too proud of that, but I have a huge thing against the way those Pokemon are released. Although, now with the 20th anniversary codes, it may have been unnecessary.
    Oh well, I have all 721 and even extras of the Legendaries so I'm happy for now~
     
    I believe I first caught them all on my blue version. Well, except for Mew. Then on crystal I managed to get 251/251. Not being able to transfer them up to Ruby and Sapphire was one of several factors that caused me to go on hiatus from Pokemon for several generations (along with not owning a DS...) but last year I broke my wrist and figured I had nothing better to do than catch 'em all. I now have a living dex of 720/720. Just waiting on more pokemon to be released in the meantime, and I've started new collection quests of getting breedable HA pokemon and rare ball pokemon. I swear that once you complete one goal it's time to start another. At least it's easy to keep my dex completed now.
     
    I'm jealous of everyone with a shiny charm. I wonder what else they might add in future as a reward for dex completion.
     
    I completed the dex in Black 2 and X. Doing it in Black 2 was pretty tedious and boring. Doing it in X was pretty exciting because I had a goal to complete it before PokeBank came out in NA, and I ended up completing it on the day it came out in Japan. I was spamming trades on the GTS with Japanese players, and trading the new Pokemon to people in #tradecorner so they could start breeding them for everyone. Everyone was like "GET MUDKIP NEXT !!!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh, that was a fun day for trading and dex filling!

    Once I had it I started breeding for shinies a lot. This was during a period of time that Shiny Value abuse didn't work.
     
    I was very close to getting it done once in Emerald, but there were still a few Pokémon out there that I just wasn't able to capture. If it weren't for that, it likely wouldn't have been a problem, haha. With the amount of Pokémon we have now, capturing them all seems to be nearly impossible.
     
    In short no. Every time a new generation comes round I say I'll do it, but I never do. With each generation adding 50-100 new Pokemon, it just becomes more difficult to keep up!
