    When I had my blue retainer with red polka-dots, you wouldn't believe how many times I'd lose it... Of course I never put it in my case when I had to eat so I would end up placing on some random surface nearest me. Once I was finished my meal/snack whatever, it would always slip my mind to put it back in so that would result in me losing it for either a span of 30 minutes to a few days.. But I actually lost it for more than two months or so so I ended up having to get a new one.. :/ But I have braces now so I don't have to worry about losing them.
     
    I had a retainer when I was ten. When I took it out to eat, I'd be too lazy to put it in the bathroom so I'd place it in a napkin. On Thanksgiving, a family friend picked it up and threw it out, thinking it was just garbage. Mom and Grandma went through, like, four garbage bags before they found it XD;.

    Other than that, I've never lost it. Hehe.

    I've never lost it. I've came close a few times. I wouldn't mind losing it for a while, though. I do forget to put it in most of the time. I'll usually forget after eating. Thankfully, I do remember to put it in the case. I have broken it once, but that was due to a defect in it. It was fixed for free.
     
    I used to break mine... Funnily enough, they stopped breaking when my orthodontist told me I'd have to start paying for new ones...
     
    The very first retainer I had, one I had between sets of braces, I lost in the gym bleachers somewhere. I kind of hope no one ever found it. Must've been gross if they did. x_x; Didn't get in trouble or anything for it, thankfully.

    My second retainer, the one I had after they'd removed my braces for good, I never lost. I just stopped wearing it one day. Last time I saw it it was in the mirror in our apartment in Germany. I assume it was thrown out.
     
    Yeah,I lost my retainers all the time.The last time I found it,it was broken.
     
    I have never had retainers so no.
