4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

I think Pokemon: The Movie 2000 was the last shown in the cinemas here actually but whatever, same point.

We'll probably get the Toys 'R' Us events with nothing else to do but get the pokemon, again.
 
Yeh, Toy's R Us suply us with our events nowadays. And even if not, i'm sure someone here, on PC, would be willing to trade one for a good offer, I for one would (I got ALOT of the japanese ones cloning FTW!)

Why should they put the trio in the games considering they weren't even in the originals? This is a G/S remake, not a Yellow remake.

Apart from Yellow, which was sort-of an anime/manga special (as Mizaki indicated), the anime/manga characters rarely cross over into the games. I don't see this happening any time soon. =x I mean, TR have been to every region in the anime. Wouldn't they have put them in all the previous games already, if they were going to?

Hmm It kinda sucks for me, because in a way I know that Australia won't be getting this event, we only get the bad events, like the Rotom one.
 
I'm kind of hoping that, like recently with Darkrai's Member Card and Rotom's Secret Key events, Nintendo will start doing a lot more Mystery Gifts over Nintendo WFC. It's really helpful. For example - my nearest Toys R Us is over 30 miles away and it's not convenient to go there. Especially due to the fact that, while it's nice that events are in school holidays, I can't really get time off work for Pokémon events. >>
 
No, it's different. You just have a problem adjusting to change. I for one think the new female (Kotone, as verified on serebii) looks great.

Wrong.

If you are referring to Kris, then you meant they should have kept the female character from Crystal, not Gold and Silver. These two versions never had a female protagonist in the end like it has been developed now in HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Plus, apart from her being added in, she has a nice artwork and sprite that fits Johto as well as a pretty name, Kotone as stated above.
 
Probably Toys R' Us. I've seen a couple events now at Toys R' Us.
 
I've been wondering this for a while now...

I hope that HG/SS are WPA compatible like the DSi. Since I can only get into the DSi's Wi-Fi, but not Platinum's since I have a WPA key, only. >>
 
Okay so let's talk about something other than the eternal complaints about "new girl" ;x

Do you think all the weekly events will re-occur? Some of them are probably a given, but what about ones like being able to see Silver on certain days in certain places and other more obscure ones? I hope they do come back, they made the game a little more fun.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the weekly events re-occur in the remakes, if not all from the orignal Gold and Silver. Noting how the DS and DSi feature expands real world time and the day and night feature being brought back in, then I wouldn't be surprised to see the old as well as new weekly events occur.

Actually, looking back at DPPt, during a certain time of the week players were allowed to have a rematch with Barry our rival. So, I'm sure in the case with Silver it may be brought back in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
 
Oh I guess I didn't notice that in DPPt. I suppose it'd make sense for them to keep that feature, then. But GSC had the most weekly features by far, so I hope all (or most) come back in HgSs.
