4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

Looking back at FRLG I doubt they might alter the gyms much, if any way at all.

While yes that is true FR/LG had a MUCH smaller pool of evolutions and such to play around with.

Eh, for the nostalgia factor they might not alter the gyms at all other than updated graphics.
Even if they do change the gyms I'd love to see what they will come up with.

This is going to be amazing, the best series of games remade? What could be better!? I am so siked.

Yes, we're all psyched, and more news this Sunday will keep us all hanging on a cliff for more.

Anyway, you know what would be cool that they could do with the remake, is that if they allow us to rematch the gyms, then they can switch up the look of the gym a bit. I know it'll be hard to see them do, but it'll definitely be a first.

We all knew that that Johto game data was inserted into DPPt, but what about Kanto? That's the only thing that gives me a little butterfly in my stomach: What if it made us go to Sinnoh instead of Kanto? I know for a fact I wouldn't be the only disappointed one there. Of course, who really knows. Just a little thought I'd put onto the table.

I for one would actually be disappointed, because I mean having Diamond, Pearl, and then Platinum come out all in a row is enough Sinnoh for me. Plus, I'm pretty sure Kanto might still be in because the only difference would be Pokémon which Platinum has all the coding for Kanto Pokémon and the rest. I doubt they would do anything different that would mess that up though.

Ageed, I'd be highly disappointed. It would be a first to be able to go back to Kanto via DS and on this remake. I've had enough Sinnoh for now.

Seeing as we've had three games involvnig Sinnoh as well, it just wouldn't seem like GameFreak for putting the Sinnoh in the GSDS remakes either. I mean, they'll actually lose out on a few sales because fans wouldn't want to have to return back to the Sinnoh and losing Kanto would be like losing half of what Gold and Silver really was.

Yuck.
Nah, not gonna happen. Although you've now presented a new discussion- who says it has to be Kanto? Why not Hoenn, or indeed Sinnoh? Well, tbh, there's way too much to consider for these kinds of thing, so i'm gonna leave it on that vague note..

Kanto will be the one chosen over any other reason because both of them are like right next door with Mt. Silver connecting them. Not only that, but in GSC you could have actually surfed over to Kanto as well, I believe.

I would be a bit dissapointed if the Sinnoh was in there instead of the Kanto. We have had Diamond, Pearl and Platinum journeying across the Sinnoh and I think that's enough. It would be boring to travel it all over again. They would most likely put the Kanto in with the Johto than all of the other regions though.

>_> I'm pretty sure a majority of the fans would be pissed, including me.
Most of us are looking forward to visiting Kanto in HGSS, not Sinnoh. XD

That's a little too much Sinnoh traveling considering Plat was just released.

^ The post above pretty much cleared it up for a lot of people, as great as Sinnoh might be, it would just not be right to have it in the GSDS games.

I couldn't have agreed more. Especially since the Johto region and the Kanto region are similar in some ways. Sinnoh just wouldn't fit in a country-like region.

Besides the fact of it being a country-like region, the Kanto would still be a more logical choice as they [Johto & Kanto] are the two closest regions, unlike the rest.

Looks like we get to ride the S.S and trains all over! I also really enjoyed when Team Rocket took over the Radio Tower and you had to go in and save it.

^ Wait, we really do get to go on board the S.S. Anne Cruise ship this time? By the way, what trains? ...

We got to board the SS to go from Olivine to Vermilion after beating the E4. Also, the magnet train goes from Saffron<--->Goldenrod

The magnet train, that actually brings back some great memories. Yes, I'd like to have those back, I can only imagnie how they look with the new graphics as well.
