4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

I know for me my team might change up a little. Though, it all depends on where they position all the Pokémon, if some are moved to different places like something they did in Platinum compared to Diamond/Pearl.

I mean like actually lost such as, "Where am I?"
Same thing happened to me the first few times I played, but only because I couldn't tell anything apart with the terrible graphics. x__x Especially after I had gotten so used to Leaf Green and Sapphire...yeah.

Certainly won't happen to me again. I never got lost in D/P, even the first time I played.

I have gotten lost in the game, especially when I was trying to find my way to the next town but I forgot which one. Maybe this time, with beter graphics, I'll be able to find my way to places.

Yes, Crystal wasn't my first game, Ruby was, so the difference with the graphics I think was the main cause in getting me lost. I'm glad that'll be solved because the DPPt graphics are a lot easier to understand and will have a great look and improvement for the Johto too.

You guys really got lost? How did you manage that? I actually like the graphics in a old 8 bit point of view.. Where did you guys get lost? I didn't get lost a single time not even on my old black/white gameboy :O

You have to remember, I didn't play Crystal until after I had Ruby and FRLG. So, the graphics were a bit weird to me. Though I got lost in various places, while surfing, in routes that had ridges and other location. Since I am used to the look of Sinnoh in DPPt, I'm sure I'll have it hands down in the new GSDS games.

Oh right, i guess it would be different if your very first game was a newer generation then going back and playing a older game, sorry about that. And i know what you mean about water. I'm glad you had to barely surf at all in d/p/pt. Anyway i believe we are straying off topic.

Yes, though in the games, with the Whirl Pool, I wonder how cool that will look with the new scene of Johto.

Yeah, i can't wait to see the whirl islands in G/S, This is gonna be sold out before i even get my hands on a copy. Whirl islands and tin tower is what i'm most looking forward to exploring though. I can't wait to see the 3D counterparts of the original game.

Yes, seeing as whirlpools were never brought into any other game, I'd like to see if goes in motion to give it a more realistic look.

Theres always a possibility that they will remove it though, I believe that it requires a HM. I don't remember what it's called though.

The HM was actually called Whirlpool. I would hope it comes back or else the name "Whirlpool Islands" would be very redundant to have.

Good point. But thats even more HMs to throw down our throats. Whats that gonna be 9 now?

Actually there are HMs they can take out in the remake that will not be necessary such as Defog and Rock Climb. I don't know about Waterfall, it is a hard one to call.

I think Waterfall should stay an HM. Also I think that Rock Climb should stay an HM as well.

Crystal was my first game handheld/console game, so I love this now. Although, I found the graphics incredible. I play an N64 now, anyway.

Im not gna enjoy it as much as i did the originals cuz it just wont have the classical music and gameplay that DSi needs for some games.

But i'm still happy to see it announced. Is this like yellow with the pokemon followin cuz i saw sum screenshots..

^ Yeah, they did seem to take in some features from Yellow and add them into these remakes.

Well that would only make sense.. if we are going to Kanto like in the original GSC, Waterfall is a necessity.

If you mean the HM to remove whirlpools.. it's just called Whirlpool.

I think the HMs will more than likely get a change from the older ones. Seeing as how new things can be, I wouldn't know how it would work out too much if kept the same.
