Spoiler:

What do mean? A confrontation does occur, granted you did everything, between the four main characters. Shelby can die a number of ways depending on what you do. I got the one where him and Jayden are fighting and he's eventually thrown into some sort of grinder. Ouch.

No. I mean to say...while they were advertising this game during development, they stated that any of the four characters can die at any point in the game. So I'm curious if Shelby dies at some point before the confrontation (if possible), how does the finale get resolved?

I enjoyed the game. It had an intriguing plot that was dramatic and suspenseful.

I never would have guessed that Shelby was the Origami Killer. He was a great villain.

No. I mean to say...while they were advertising this game during development, they stated that any of the four characters can die at any point in the game. So I'm curious if Shelby dies at some point before the confrontation (if possible), how does the finale get resolved?

If Shelby dies, you still continue playing like normal and if you find Shaun then you skip the figuring out who the origami killer is and the police think its Mars unless you have Jayden accuse his partner or if the girl (name slipped me) doesn't convice the police. If everything is done right and Shelby dies you skip the Jayden vs Shelby and happy ever after, but noone find Shelby.

I guessed he was the killer at about the time Lauren tries to get him to get the letter and he doesn't want her with him, and the fact he was trying to get the pieces that Mars gets in the box confirmed it was him, I don't like that it shows you killing the old man when you don't really have to be nearby for him to suddenly die. Plus he never flashed his PI card or anything and just acted weird.

I KNEW it was gonna be a playable character, but for awhile I thought it was Ethan and I was in a toss up between him or Shelby and I thought it was some sort of MPD if it was Ethan and when he said "the other side testing me" or whatever I just decided it wasn't him, they wouldn't put that in there that early

I never thought it Ethan despite a lot of evidence pointing towards him. It just felt to obvious for me. Reading a lot of Shelby's thoughts on the second playthrough make a lot of sense now.
