I've been a member of this forum for a while and finally decided to actually post and talk to people here.
I originally joined this forum in order to download ips files from a couple threads I decided to keep an eye on. I was into modding other games at the time like the elder scrolls morrowind and oblivion but I was searching for a way to get the trade evolutions without trading when i came across this forum and a few others but this one piqued my interest and then a wealth of knowledge and a world of tools opened up before me so I decided hacking the pokemon games would be fun and set out to learn as much as possible about rom hacking as I could.
I then changed my mind about it after corrupting my emerald a bunch of times and didn't come back for a while until recently when I was looking up pokemon crystal pokemon locations and google popped up with liquid crystal so I was like what is that and then I read about it and was like holy moly this is awesome so i played it till cianwood and was looking up pokemon locations for lc when crystaldust popped up on my radar and I was excited to try another remake and then I read a bunch about it and was amazed at how much the screenshots reminded me of crystal so I tried it and fell in love with it and the fact that it was based on emerald made me rethink my previous decision to give up on it so I decided this forum is now my home till I've learned all I can and done all I've wanted to.

So hello and thank you all for keeping me entertained and interested in the third generation of pokemon games.

Weeelcome to PC, missiri! Good to meet you and etc, yep. :D

Liquid Crystal is amazing, good grief haha. I absolutely adore it and am glad to hear you're a fan as well because it's one of the coolest remakes ever. :) We have plenty to play through here and many new people come in hoping to try out the ROM hacks. I originally joined with an interest in trying them, too. Games like Brown, Prism, and Shiny Gold were my first hacks.

I'm sure you'll learn heaps and tons if you stick around. There are many resources across PokeCommunity to teach you everything you're looking to learn about so be sure to keep logging back on and going through the tutorials among other things.

    Good luck and have fun!

Hiya missiri! I hope that you're having a good weekend so far! Welcome to the Pokecommunity, and it's outstanding to meet ya! (:

Ah, it's really nice that you're having your interests towards ROM Hacking - as you may know, the home of the hackers itself, is the Emulation & ROM Hacking board! :O That place has its own sections dividing it as neatly as it can, and the first thing you might want to look into would be the Toolbox section within Emulation! Download as much tools as you can, and tinker with it on your own volition. That's how most people started with hacking, and I think it's been tried and true. There's also a handy Tutorials section to check out, and threads there tend to go in pairs with the available tools back in Toolbox that might be a little too complicated to work out on your own. Pretty sweet, huh?

Mmm, I know we're not specifically dealing with ROM hacks in New Users / Welcome, but newbies like you sort of make it a strong factor in life as a new user here, soooo, if you have any questions related to this forum that new users tend to ask, like if you need a hand to get posting and being active, don't hesitate to drop in a message to staff like me and Sheep. I'm not really strong when it comes to ROM Hacking, sooo, you'll find better help somewhere. <3

Oh, and it's a pleasure for you to be here, and I do hope you'll have fun being around here. <33
