Hey guys!! I recently bought a Nintendo 3DS and my very first game I picked up, was Pokemon Y. I had been eyeing it for the past few months since I had long taken a break from Pokemon for the past few years. The last game I actually played all the way through was Pokemon Yellow, simply because I never cared much for hand-helds. But here I am again a decade later playing a game I completely loved as a kid. I'm extremely excited to indulge myself in the game.
    :D

Thats a pretty long break :p
I want a pokemon Y too and I will soon get it :) hmm pokemon yellow was awesome too I liked it .. well you didnt play all the other games on emulators ? You should play em all you will like it :)
welcome ... you can add me or anyone or vm or pm if you are confused about anything ..

Heyyyy, welcome to the forums, Nimhdragon! That's great that you've gotten a 3DS! And I'm glad that you're going to play Pokemon Y soon! There are some stuff to do when Pokemon Bank comes out, so, I hope you'll be excited for that, as I am!

Mmm, well, I can see your viewpoint about handhelds- I prefer consoles myself, but, handhelds are always easy to travel with, and get around with while playing your favourite games, y'know? Anyways, Pokemon Yellow was great, though I always thought it was a liiiittle bit on the tough side because the difficulty skyrocketed around the Fushia Gym. Hm. Well, anyways, this forum does looove to talk about pokemon, so, you'll have no trouble discussing your thoughts and feelings about Pokemon Y over at the Pokemon Y section! Hope you'll check it out. <3

Buuut thanks for coming, and I wish you a happy stay here on PC! Lemme know if you need any help, or, you're free to ask another staff member for assistance! Cya around, and have yourself a great day! <3

Yay, welcome back to the franchise! =D Nice to meet you, Nimhdragon, and great to have you here on PokeCommunity. :)

A lot of people have been returning to Pokemon with X and Y so I applaud you for picking it back up again and joining us here. Many are still pretty addicted to the sixth generation games including myself.. I'm actually about to do some breeding and train a few other Pokemon to evolve for data. What're you doing in your game now? How far are you? There is a whole lot to do here too.. I mean, who doesn't like making your guys stronger through super training or seeing what you'll get through wonder trade?

I'm sure you'll enjoy conversing and perhaps trading/battling with people here on PC so check out the Pokemon X & Y board as well as the Trade Corner and Battle Center! We even have a friend code thread in the X & Y board where you can share your code with other players.

Enjoy your stay and hopefully we see you around a lot! Let the staff know if you need anything.

    Wow hi everyone!
@Ranx: What actually pulled me back was the PokeMMO, I got really involved in that and played off and on for about a year, and in-between playing that I actually played Black 2, and I believe it was Heartgold I played through, but didn't do much once completed.
@Aura: Thank you! And yeah it did get really hard, I remember as a little kid, getting into Lt. Surge's gym was the hardest thing in the world for me!

@Sheep I'm doing great! I've actually owned Pokemon Y for a total of 10 days (I bought it on the 31st) but I have over 80 hours clocked on it on top of my part-time job and full-time student status >.< Right now I'm working on all of the pokemon in Central Kalos and I'm having some difficulty with a few, maybe the trade forums will be able to help me a pinch.
But it's super nice meeting all of you!!
