I just though I would drop in and say hello to the community here. I started playing pokemon games when pokemon yellow came out and then crystal was realesed and I finished that game as well after that I haven't played a pokemon game since so I bought Pokemon X and I went O_o a lot has changed over the years that's for sure. I'm hoping to get to know the people at the forum better over time.

My first game to play was also yellow and then gold. When advanced generation came around, I was just like who's idea was it to add a contest in pokemon? Then fourth generation threw me off at first because of the new pokemon and the change in the contest. Can't nintendo make up their minds? Fifth generation had another batch of new pokemon and a professor who's named after a planet. There's this crazy Team Plasma leader who thinks that he's king of the world and his adoptive son that only has one character in his name. Crazier things have happened before...

Then comes X and Y with a couple of new pokemon, yet another evil and crazy organization, and a mysterious guy you battle, like rivals, Team Flare, and gym leaders weren't enough. Bringing back Mewtwo revived the good old classics but the megas at first just gave my mind a spin. Then nintendo comes out saying that they wanna do yet another remake, this time using Ruby and Sapphire. All of this and in a short amount of time, this is too much for a classic player like me.

Hello there, it's so nice to see you here today!

I've been into Pokemon for pretty much most of my life, though I never played a Pokemon game until 3rd Gen when I played Ruby & Sapphire, and now everyone's excited for the remakes of said games. Can't believe it's been 12 years since Hoenn came and now it's getting a 3D makeover. Given the last Pokemon game you played until now was Crystal, that means you've missed quite a lot of generations so it may take you a while to get used to the changes, but hey you should catch up on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Gen games so you can adjust to the changes faster given how huge your gap was.
