Alright so, I'm going to be a bit blunt here.

I made this account mostly in the hopes of getting some feedback on an essay, it's Pokémon-themed of course, but I'm also not sure if it might be against the rules. I don't really expect to find any big English majors around here, as it's mostly on the content and structure that I'm concerned with and maybe some other suggestions, advice, and comments.

Not quite sure, but I think the place where I'd make a topic about it would be in Pokémon General? Anyway, sorry to be a waste of space, but I figure it would be best to come clean on what my intentions are, and if it's necessary for me to be removed I'd understand.

You're in luck, my friend!
We have a forum called Fanfiction and Writing. I don't believe I've seen too many essays, and the rules of that section are pretty mute on the issue of whether it's ok to post there, so we'll probably have to wait for a moderator to show up and clarify.
Most of the members who frequent that section do have a fair bit of writing experience, so it's likely that you can get at least a little bit of constructive criticism. I'll give it a read once you post it and try my best to give you some advice if necessary.
Anyways, once you're done with the essay I hope you'll stick around. There's a lot of other things to do here as well, so have a look around and try and find some forums that you'll enjoy. Feel free to send me a message anytime :)

Ah, I totally forgot to ask about the Fanfiction and Writing section, but you're right on getting clarification if it's okay to post there on getting a peer review response.

Yeah, maybe I'll pop in here and there, but I just wanted to be upfront that I may not be around her a lot since I'm sort of busy, college stuff and all. Thanks very much for your response and invitation.

Good luck getting feedback on your work. I'm sure people would be glad to help assist with your writing project so long as it's in the right area. I do a handful of writing myself but none of it has ever made its way here because.. well, I'm not quite confident enough yet (plus nothing has even been finished)! Haha.

Ha, yeah, I'll try to at least just so I'm not a total waste of space. Thanks, my username is actually my full name, with the c being the first letter of my first name, kazuma being my middle name, and the n, the first letter of my last name. I was debating on making a generic name, but eh.

Alright, so I guess I'll try posting it in the Fanfiction and Writing section, hopefully that'll do even though that's more for Fanfictions than general writing. Ha, well I'm sure your writing is a lot better than mine and thank you very much for the warm welcome, Rainbow and Sheep. I can't promise I'll post stuff, but again I'll try popping in every so often, maybe greet new members.
