I think I can sympathize with that feeling. I'm an introvert irl, and I completely hate it when people ask me to introduce myself in front of a crowd, like for a new class or a party. And it feels weird to talk about myself. So I don't blame you. :)
In any case, welcome to this forum, Chloe. One thing I have to point out is that you actually used the é character for Pokémon! You're the first newbie in ages that I've consciously noticed to use that symbol, and I'm happy because I make it a point to do that every single time I type Poké-something. ;D Also Pokémon is everyone else's entire life here too, so you've got a lot of buddies here! Don't feel weird or alienated or anything towards this place, it's gonna be great I tell you. New Users / Welcome in particular might not be the most attractive and most natural place to make your first post in, but I think it's the best place to do so. <3
Do you feel uncomfortable for other reasons? Maybe, just maybe, you'd like a mentor to guide you around this place. It's usually easier to have one-on-one conversations than to address the whole forum, right? It's gonna be really helpful, too! Trust me, just pay this little thread and its first post a visit. :D Also there are mods for almost each section to help you out, don't be afraid to reach out to them if you're feeling kinda lost. Just stay positive, go on at your own pace, make friends, and try your hardest not to feel so lonely or awkward. Nothing wrong with being new and making a thread in NU/W, after all. :>

Hi Chloe, and welcome to PC.
My name was almost going to be Chloe, but it never suited me so they named me something else instead. I love the pun in your username, it's kinda cute. At PC, we all have that love of Pokemon in common with all our members so you're sure to find someone with the same interest.
If you ever need a mentor to guide you around your favorite part of the forum, check out the Adoption Center where someone should hopefully be able to help you. Any particular reason for joining? Do you have a favorite Pokemon or Pokemon game?
