Hello everyone, my names Lighthero34, as you may know, and I would like to say hello to all of the Pokemon forums. I have played a few different Pokemon games, including Red, Blue, Diamond, black White 2, and currently playing through Emerald. In my first ever play through of Diamond, I fought Cyrus with a Torrterra, Gyrados, zubat, bibarral, geodude, and that Avalanche Pokemon I can't remember the name of. By the end of the battle, all that was remaining were zubat and Bibarral, so I was forced to waste my Master Ball on Dialga. Now that you know something about me, tell me a little bit about yourselves.

I also leave you with this question:

What do you think the realistically best Pokemon is?

Hi lighthero34, welcome to the pokemon forums.

i like the pokemon emerald, that was one of my favorites because have a lot of things to make even after you beat the elite four.

Im actually playing pokemon white and like you i was "forced" to use my master ball, because meanwhile i was trying i see one pokemon errant, so in the emotion of seeing it, i decided to use my master ball to catch it before he leaves.

Its difficult to say which one is the best realistic pokemon, but i can say one of them is miltank because she looks like a cow, or his counterpart tauros.

I say Magikarp is the realistically best pokemon because most of the world is covered with water and Magikarp appears the most in water.

Thats true, but you must admit that their evolution into gyarados was so strange XD.

By a moment, you must make me remember when in the serie misty send a golden vs ash, and she can't combat because send it outside of the water XD

    Welcome to PC, Lighthero34.

It depends on how you define 'best'.

BST-wise, it would be Arceus, as Arceus has the highest BST. Simple.

Statistically, I would say that Rayquaza is the best Pokemon. But that would be for a playthrough, and not competitive play, of course. Generally, good sweepers are only high in one offensive stat.

The best sweeper also really depends on your play style, as well as the game that you are playing.

For example, a Poisoned Zangoose with Toxic Boost, Facade, and a Life Orb can do massive damage in a single hit, or an Absol with Super Luck, a Razor Fang, and Night Slash will land a critical 1/3 of the time. A Jolteon easily outspeeds many Pokemon, and an land a fairly deadly Thunderbolt. The same goes for Weavile, albeit a mediocre moveset.

If you don't want to analyze metagame, just enjoy Pokemon. And remember to have fun!

Hey there Light! Glad to see you drop by. It's cool that you're trying to play at least one game for each region of the main series, and since I think you haven't played G/S/C or HG/SS, you definitely saved the best for last! Gen II is my favorite, bar none. It's the only game to have given you two regions to explore for the price of one, and it's got tons of improvements from its predecessor that you couldn't help but be overwhelmed. Not to mention HG/SS's partner Pokémon feature! I just loved having my Pokémon follow me around just like the Yellow days. I guess I'm just hoping they bring it back some time after X and Y.

I cannot for the life of me remember my fight against Cyrus because it's been so long since I've played Platinum. Or Diamond, for that matter. Still, I think it's alright to use a Master Ball on Dialga given those dire circumstances. I mean I never really use my Master Ball for anything, but the game mascot should always be catched, imo. It's just meant to be that way. :P As for me, I vaguely recall beating Emerald with Gardevoir as the last Pokémon in my party and winning with Calm Mind / Psychic / Thunderbolt / Ice Beam, so there's that for me.

Also, that's an interesting question! I think I'd answer that with Mew. Having Transform that works like it does in the anime (being able to turn into any Pokémon encountered, not just the one in front of you), while still having a pretty cool 'mon to use for battle, teleportation and levitation just beats all Pokémon in every department. I know the numbers that having Magikarp in practically all bodies of water imply, but quality over quantity, imo.

Answering that question was pretty fun! I'll be ending this now, but I hope you're having a great time so far here at PC, Light. Welcome aboard!
