You're a Raichu fan? That's awesome, Raichu has to be one of my favorite electric types, so you have great taste. <3
But anyway, welcome to PokeCommunity! It's awesome to have you here. Since you have forum experience your time around a community as big as this one will probably be a little easier, but make sure to read the rules anyway to get an idea of how the forum works. Really though, since this place is awesome, you're probably going to enjoy it a lot, especially since you give the vibe of a really big and fun Pokemon fan to me. I can be awkward myself so no worries in that regard either, haha. Just remember to explore and post around - that's the best thing about a forum and you'll definitely meet people down the line that way. Always better to post than be shy and spend time lurking in the shadows, right? I personally think you seem like the type of person who would enjoy Pokemon Clubs, so check that out if you like! There are plenty of amazing Pokemon clubs to join over there. :D In fact.. why not join my electric rodent Pokemon club given that you're a Raichu fan? That might just be the place for you and we're always looking for new members.
Anyways, hope you have a blast here! There are a lot of boards to post around in across the community so if you're ever lost or needing some guidance, just message one of the moderators and we'll be happy to help. There's always someone online to assist though, so chances are you'll never really get lost. Perhaps we can be friends too, you sound like a fun and quirky person which'd make you all the more interesting to get to know! :3 Summer is a wonderful time to join since we usually have a whole slew of events lined up for our members, so make sure to stick around okaay? You won't regret it! :)

Welcome to pokecommunity, also. i would like to say that raichu is my favourite electric pokemon. on my soul silver i am currently training one, which is level 87.

I have to say, I love the Pikachu line a lot. They are so cute and iconic in the Pokemon world and I do love most Electric-types too so that's a plus. They just have such cool designs, particularly in later generations hahaha. Did you hear about that new electric lizard Pokemon, Helioptile, who is appearing in Pokemon X & Y? It's one of my fave new Pokemon already and I do hope you get a chance to play the games when they come out. PC is a big forum, so you'll find some great diverse topics to post in and also an active memberbase so you'll certainly make new friends along the way.
Cirno has already shown you the Pokemon Clubs section, which has some fun clubs with great topics discussed among them. The Pokemon-based sections are all pretty active so I'm sure you'll have fun over there. Also, if you ever need help remember to contact any moderators and they'd be glad to assist you with anything you need help with.
