I just figured out how to download the latest version of Fire Red Rocket Edition and am super excited to try it out later tonight! The fan games look like so much fun.
 
I can suggest Solar Light - Lunar Dark (full of fakémon) ; Zeta / Omicron (mostly Pokémon but also a few fakémon) ; Insurgence (my top favourite, many Pokémon and over 100 awesome fakémon, many maps to explore, great means to train Pokémon, ...). If you are into top level battles and challenges, there is Reborn (full of hairpulling puzzles), and Desolation (same developpers, not finished but already tens of hours of playing)! Reborn is also among the very rare fan games which count a regular Pokémon as a character with a role in the story (a character which inspired me ^^)!

Thanks so much! I've heard good things about Reborn and Insurgence, so I will definitely be checking them out.

Fire Red Rocket Edition is a fun game, and if you like this thematic, I'd recommend DragonsDen's Pokemon Team Rocket Edition, it should ve getting an update by the end of the month, that will add the whole Jhoto version.

What is the favorite Rom Hack you played so far?

I saw DragonDen's one and was confused for a second, I'll look into it!

I've only played Yellow Legacy (awesome game), Pokemon Emerald Rogue, Super Mariomon, and now I'm starting Rocket Edition. They all look so good I'm having a hard time picking one to sit and play.

I'll have to check that one out as well! Eevee has been my favorite Pokemon since I was but a wee Trainer Lass. I don't even care about the eeveelutions, base Eevee is best Eevee.

Thanks for the welcome!

I think Pokemon Sword is my favorite main game. I love the older ones, but Sword was the one I actually went out of my way to 100%.

Hey! That's really cool to hear! Shield was my favorite game, but I don't often hear others say the same about the Gen 8 titles.

Agreed. And it had such a cool Legendary trio as well! Not to mention actual clothing options unlike Gen 9 (though the face changes in that game were cool too).

What about Sword made it your favorite?

I'm not sure. I think it's the memories surrounding the game rather than the game itself, haha. Like I said, first game I put in the time and effort to completing the dex. It was just fun. *shrugs*

I'd say that's a perfectly good answer. Even though I have yet to 100% it myself (DLC stuff), it was the first Gen I enjoyed playing so much that I actually full-cleared the battle tower thing Leon sets up post-game. Normally I never even set foot in places like that in games past, but Shield was just really fun to play for me and I wanted more to do in it at the time lol.

SwSh are still the best Pokemon games on the Switch as far as gameplay goes imo.
Coincidentally SwSh were also my first time completing the dex, which was the reason I originally joined this forum =3

How do you feel about regional forms? Any you like more than the original? =3
